Another enjoyable read from Aurora Rose Reynolds. It is not my favorite book in the Until series but it is still really good. Recommend if you are looking for a hot romance read that is low on drama and has a bossy alpha hero and a fun heroine.

Everyone needs there BOOM and June got her's back with Evan. Reading his words totally makes me **SWOON** I love everything Aurora writes. Damn does she know how to write an alpha. Just the right amount of alpha is what every woman needs.

I have followed Aurora since her first book! The Mayson men are my favorite, and I love the guys that she is bringing into the girls lives! I started out mad at Evan but then quickly understood his thinking. He was perfect for June!
Because You're Mine (MINE #1) :: Fighting Temptation (Men Of Honor Book 1) :: Until Ashlyn (Until Her/Him Book 4) :: You Do Something To Me (The Sullivans) :: The Proposition (The Plus One Chronicles Book 1)

Love this series. From the first book about Asher and November to these about the next generation. Aurora Rose Reynolds has created the kind of family you just want to become a part of. I highly recommend this author and these books.

I really enjoy reading the books in this series, you get to learn about new couples and you still get glimpses of what the rest of the family are up to.

I am absolutely in love with every single book in this series.
I love all the over the top alpha men and their over the top pain in the butt women that they adore.
I love the closeness of their family and how everyone is there for everyone.
In this one, we have June and Evan; once married and a secret from the family, Evan leaves for the Marines, when he was there, on top of the crapiness of his own family, he was battling some pretty heavy demons, so he left June to protect her.
It broke her heart. Naturally, it would....He was her BOOM.
BUT, when an ex of Junes that she didn't love but cared for; lies to her, cheats on her and gets sent to jail, Evan, who's newly working for Jax, hears of her trouble and he's back in full force, proving how much he deserves her and of course she's helpless against him because....who wouldn't be... and hello... did you miss the part where he's her BOOM?
I loved seeing all the guys and especially Asher, I swear he's still my fave!
Fantastic addition to an already fantastic series.
Don't pass it up! :)

Sometimes love needs a second chance. June and Evan had history that no one knew about. How hard would it be to look at the love of your life and wish things were different? Must read to see how this plays out.

Amazing as always! I loved these two immensely. Evan is the right amount of damaged and alpha that it is just hot. I am intrigued to find out more with Harlan and Harmony and if that goes anywhere, hmmm..

I usually love Aurora Rose Reynolds books and have read the first Until series and Underground King series and loved both series. I also liked Until July but for some reason, I really didn't care that much for this book. I had trouble following the beginning and had to read the Prologue and first chapter a few times to see how they fit into the rest of the book.
There seemed to be three separate stories in the book1) story of the relationship between June and Evan; 2) June's ex Lace and his criminal activity; 3) trouble with Wes' MC club having outsiders try to take over the club. The last two subplots are not well integrated into the book, so I didn't really see how they were related to or even necessary to the larger plot. Also TOO MANY SEX SCENES, after a while I started skipping thru them.
I also has a hard time liking Evan, his alpha/caveman was too over the top for me. In fact, all of the male characters had too much testosterone flowing for me. Disappointing.

June got herself into a pickle, but her family (named after months of the year for some reason) is bound and determined to protect her. One problem: The guy they sent to watch over her is ex-husband. No one knows they got married and divorced.
Evan married June before he entered the military. He divorced her because he didn't want to get her dirty. I'm guessing the crap he went through gave him a serious case of PTSD. When he left the military, he joined an MC where the membership is mainly military vets. They don't run guns or drugs or sell women. They hang out and love to ride. (So far that's just ZzZzZ...) I'm guessing he does P.I. work on the side for June's family. That wasn't really clear to me. They talk about cheating spouses and investigations, but the book never laid out an actual P.I. company. Maybe that tidbit is in the "Until series?"

So, Evan is sent by June's family to protect her, but Evan and June still have that hot spark. They never stopped loving eachother. It's inevitable. Two hot people in love? Yes, hot sex is on the horizon! (and ALOT of it. TYVM to the author for that.) When they start their relationship up again, it's not smooth sailing. What kind of book would it be if it was all sex and love? A porn book? ANYWAY...
Evan is such a hot, alpha male. Oh. My. God. please send me a tall dark and handsome Evan, please! He made a lot of decisions FOR June. Normally that would piss me off because I'm a bit of a feminist, but Evan just made being an alpha male so desirable.
The only thing I may have disliked about the book is the danger factor. The book built it up but didn't really deliver in that department. June got involved with dangerous people. Amp that up a bit, and the book would've been perfect!

I have been EAGERLY waiting for Until June and once again Aurora Rose Reynolds has given me another book boyfriend. This book is phenomenal. When we learned about June's secret marriage to Evan in the book Until July I knew this would be such an interesting story from so many angles (her parents finding out, why it happened, what brought Evan to where June lives now) and I was right. Evan and June are perfect together. Aurora writes some of the best Alpha males and I fall in love with each one. She began this series with Until November and June is one of the grown-up daughters of Asher and November. That is one of the things about this series that means so much to me because we are getting to read stories about the kids whose parents got together in the first 4 books in the series. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would because it has now become one of my top favorites in the series (and if you knew just how much I love each book in this series that would be saying something). The Until series just keeps getting better and better and is one of my favorite series of all time. If you have read any of the Until series books then you know that this is a MUST read for you. If you have never read any of Aurora's books but you love hot alpha males with feisty sexy strong females and great stories then this is a book you want to add to your collection. As with each book in the series you may read it as a standalone, but I cannot stress enough to you that if you are able to get each book in the series please do so because you will be so happy that you did. If you can at least do one more book right now I suggest that you get Until July along with Until June because it is a fantastic read and you will learn about the MC that Evan belongs to and you will also be introduced to June for the first time. As I have stated I have loved every single book in the Until series and this book exceeded my expectations and then some, but then that is what makes Aurora such a fantastic author because she never disappoints. One-click Until June and enjoy this phenomenal book!!!!!

Who says "The Boom" is reserved for Mayson men? June Mayson would disagree. When she met Evan Barrister her heart exploded. When Evan Barrister had divorce papers served to her, her heart shattered. Sometimes "The Boom" is more than an explosion of the heart, it can shatter the heart. June Mayson is a casualty of "The Boom". The only thing she can do is move on or become a lesbian. Neither seems to be the right choice for her battered heart. Her Daddy or her uncles can't fix whats been broken. Only time can.
June Mayson has a problem picking the wrong men. With a destroyed marriage behind her , she has moved on. The only problem is that she's picked another loser. This time around the loser almost landed her in jail. He has put her life in danger and now her dad and the Mayson crew have to step up and protect her. What she didn't count on was her ex husband being a part of that crew. Her heart is in even more danger.
Evan Barrister married June Mayson when he was a naive young man. He didn't anticipate the military and war turning him into a man he can't recoginize in the mirror. He gave June up so that she could have a better life. One he couldn't give her. Time has a way of healing and now he wants his woman back. He will do anything to win her heart and keep it whole for the rest of her life.
Evan and June have a hard road ahead of them. Only their love can heal their broken hearts. Only love can make their futures better. Can June find the forgiveness Evan deserves? Will her dad kill Evan for hurting his baby girl or will he finally let go?
Read Until June.
I thoroughly enjoyed Until June. Aurora Rose Reynolds writes a sexy, fun, light hearted romance that is loaded with steamy love scenes and red hot alpha males. Her books never disappoint. I can't wait to see what Mayson feels "The Boom" next!

I really, really like Aurora Reynolds' books, but not this one. I really hope the author somehow reads readers' reviews, because I feel it could be helpful to her. I'm confused by all the 5 stars this book is getting, but everyone has their own opinions. On to the actual review.
I felt that this book was a very washed down version of the parent series. Really, all of the kid books so far have been, but this one worst of all. The characters were okay, just okay. The sex scenes were boring, and there were a lot. I don't mind a lot, if they're good, but I was flipping past them halfway through. ARR books really aren't known for their creative sex scenes (The most creative being Until Nico.), so it's probably a complete lack of chemistry that's the real problem for me. I liked each of the parent books and never rushed past sex scenes, so obviously those characters were more genuine to me.
Also, there is almost no angst to the book. I don't mind the only tiny bit of angst in the beginning between the H/h, because ARR books are usually insta-love where H and h are pretty much on the same page. However, usually they is some outside force that causes tension, hurdles, or, I don't know, SOMETHING interesting to happen in the story. Not so here. 3 opportunities for different storyline (break-in, Lane, Jordan), and they were all a waste of page space. Seriously? It's like ARR couldn't figure out what to do well with any one of them so threw them all in there. In the end, he result was really just a pretty boring read after the initial 25 percent
Much less important than all of this, I felt that the interaction between Asher and November wasn't true to their relationship that was supposed to be as in love and strong today as it was in the beginning. I certainly hope Nico and Sophie aren't messed up when their kids' books come around, because they are my favorite couple of ARR and Nico possibly my all time favorite romance Hero. (See, I'm not always so dissatisfied with ARR.)
Despite this disappointment, I'm still eagerly looking forward to Sage and Ashlyn and really hope ARR takes the time to get back to her former glory.

No cliffhanger
Standalone though part of a larger family series
Told from both POVs
No major editing issues
I have loved every single book in this series. This is actually the first one I haven't given 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, it is a great book, it just didn't do it for me as much as the previous books have. It felt a little disjointed.
June is the daughter of Asher and November Mayson. She and Evan were actually secretly married before he left for the military. She thought it was forever until the day she received divorce papers.
Evan is an alpha male to his core. He loves June with his entire being but he realizes he isn't good enough for her and loves her enough to end things.
Little do they know that their paths would cross again. Would the love and chemistry still be there or would old wounds prove to be too much to get past?
Without giving too much away it just seemed like the plot was a little choppy. It was super hot and I mean SUPER hot, but the drama was lacking and it didn't have the previous Until Series "boom" moment. If you have read the entire series you know what I mean by this.
Still s great and sexy read though. Can't wait for the next book.
