This book is just awsome!!!! It is my all time favorite Redwall book. I won't give away any secrets though! I HIGHLY recommend this book to any one who's read some of the other books, or just likes a good read.

I have all the books(including The Flying Duchman seires) and have read them all at least 3-4 times. They are all awsome books but the Taggerung is the BEST!!! The plot was really cool and the riddles are so much fun. I try to figure them out before the answer is told. Sometimes I can gess part of it(rarely). It really gets on my nerves when my friends say it's a book about rats. IT'S NOT ABOUT RATS!!! Well not totaly. I can't wait for the next one. I recommend the whole set to everyone.

Taggerung is the highlight in the Redwall series to me, so far. I have not read all of the books yet, but out of the ones I have read so far, Taggerung is the best. Buy it and read it a million times.

I really do love this series, and I have read almost every single one, but liek other readers i have been dissapointed wiht the last few instalments, espically marlfox. Although flawed, I thought Legend of Luke was a very daring take. I did enjoy the taggerung, how ever like the last few books, its jsut missing that special something that made the older ones seem so magical. Don't egt me wrong this is a good story ( getting alittle tired of the folksy hedgehogs though). I just hopethat these characters return in another book, as main characters not background. [....]

This book is awesome!! It's different than the rest of the books, but it's one of the best. A very sad and surprising ending. I could not put this book down until I was done! I recommend it to any Redwall fan!

I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers. This book deserves praise from all who read it. The newest installment in the Redwall series had everything that I like about Jacques' writing, and nothing that I didn't. I would rate The Taggerung right up there with Pearls of Lutra, Mattimeo, and Marlfox, all great Redwall books. It is my sincere hope that Mr. Jacques recovers quickly from the stroke he suffered and continues writing phenomenal books like this one.

This fourth installment of Brian Jacques' Redwall series is very good. From the beggining all the way to the end is non-stop adventure. You never know what will happen next and once you do find out, the story takes another turn. This is what makes this book great. So if you haven't read Taggerung yet, what are you waiting for? Go out and get this great book!

This is another great installment to the wonderful Redwall series! I have read the entire series and this has quickly gone down as one of my favorite books of the series. If you liked books by Tolkien or books on Arthurian Legend, I guarantee you will love this book. READ IT!!!

I like this book because the hero is very diffrent from the other redwall books. It all starts out when Tagg, (Real name is Deyna.) gets otter-napped by a clan of vermin and is raised by them. When he's older, he runs away, and goes out to seek his true family. It's a very good book, MHAHAHA!!!! (o.k I stink at being funny.)

This book has the most action of all the Redwall books, has the most interesting mysteries of all the Redwall books, and the plot is so entertaining you won't put it down! If you aren't familiar with Redwall books, this book is an unusual book that will keep you wondering, pondering, and guessing until the end of the book! Read this book!

I was amazed with this book. Brian Jacques really outdid himself this time. Taggerung (Deyna) is the ultimate in what a true Redwall creature should be: fair, strong, and modest. I really appreciate how Brian Jacques makes his heroes so humble, and this is just the best of his works in my opinion.

Brain Jacques outdoes himself in this tale of a otter cub stolen at birth by a villianous tribe. As the otter grows up he realizes something is wrong. He goes on a quest to find this missing piece. His search brings him to Redwall Abbey, and face to face with his widowed mother and sister.

I didn't mind this book... Though I have to admit, I almost dropped the book altogether after a vital character died. I mean, it was O.K., but it wasn't as... shall we say... exciting as his others. It was more emotional, but I guess no one's perfect. You can't say it was more mental, because the puzzles were PATHETIC, as I got them on the first try and that's a huge accomplishment for me. Personally, my favorite was Castaways of the Flying Dutchman, but of the Redwalls, I'd say Outcast of Redwall.
Anyways, if you never liked the violence, try this one. If you liked the fighting or tougher puzzles, be advised to skip this book.

Like all the Redwall books, this is a great, adventurous, novel of good versus evil. This is my favorite book by Brian Jacques, but not by far, because all the other are exellent. I'd highly recomend this book.

One of the best with it's new characters and backrounds.Telling a story no one would have thought.I don't want to spoil it so I'll cut it short,Taggerung is one of my favorites. Here's a character that plays a somewhat big role:Gruven Zann Juskazann!

In this book author Brian Jacques is very descriptive and compelling. It tells of a young child taken from his family to be brought up in the wrong way. This book is written with the upmost skill an author could possibly hope for.

This book was definitely one of the best Redwall books so far. The beginning was sad, but it's quick twists and turns will have you surprised that you have already finished. I only wish it were longer!! Please recover quickly and write another one, Mr. Jacques!!
