I cant get enough. these books have taken over my life. I love all the heroes and even the villains. throw in the zombies and I'm in heaven. best series I've read in a long time. almost keeps me hungry for more. Finished 3 books and I'm off to the 4th!

I actually think I liked this story more than the other two. He does some things with Stealth that really serve to humanize her a bit more, just a tiny bit, but it's appreciated. This story takes a few turns i didn't expect and the main bad guy was not what I was expecting. I'm not going to put any spoilers in here because I'm not a jackwagon. Just read it and you'll enjoy it. I knocked a star off simply because I am tired of reading about a certain villain. Maybe he got killed off in this one (finally!) or maybe he didn't. Either way, I'm sick of reading about that dude.

If you haven't read Peter Clines' "Ex-" series, I recommend it. The first book was the best, but you keep coming back to find out what happens next. Overall, I like the idea of super heroes vs. super zombies/monsters.

Loving this series. Oddly I don't mind reading about zombies...I can't seem to take SEEING them. No Walking Dead for me. But if it's anything like these books, I can see the obsession. I eagerly await the next.

The 3rd installment of the Ex-Heroes series, Ex-Communication does not disappoint. As with the other two books, the stories are all tied together but the book could stand on its own if necessary. I sat down and read this book in a day because it kept me engrossed. Wasn't my plan but, hey, if a book is good enough it can do that to you. There are so many developed characters in this book, I applaud Clines for keeping up with each of them. He doesn't partially develop a character and then just give them a few lines here and there just to stay relevant. Every main character is given its own spotlight and you can definitely tell they have completely separate personalities. As with the other two novels, you'll notice a particular character getting a little more of the spotlight but that is part of the charm of Clines' writing style. Heads up to the parents out there, probably not a book for your kids. Overall, I highly recommend this book.

Great Book. I discovered this series by chance and once I get one of these books I can't stop reading until I am done with it :) .
Four of my friends got hooked as well based on how much I was talking about this series.

Development of primary characters continues to make the series more appealing with every new novel. Entertaining story line continues from previous Ex novels, but is easily self contained if you haven't picked up the earlier installments yet. Already looking forward to what happens in next volume.

This was yet another supremely entertaining story. Short and sweet and still surprising me. The super heroes are unique and have equally unique personalities. And zombies, zombies make everything better. Just really enjoy these, can't wait for the next one...

The Ex series is a cornucopia of comic book action and zombie hi-jinx peppered with some of the best cultural references ever. Clines takes many of the tropes associated with these genres and twists them in unexpected ways that always keeps things fresh. Often when I thought he was going down a certain plot path I was delightfully surprised to be wrong. I think that what I enjoy most about this series is the attention to character development. Comic book action can become fairly mundane if you don't have any emotional investment in the heroes (or villains if you are so inCLINEd) who are involved. There was more than one moment in this volume when I thought I was going to get a Whedonesque death of a character! However I will not state here whether or not that occurs. All in all probably my second favorite book in the series so far. Keep them coming Mr. Clines!

The series continues to expand this apocalyptic zombie universe...The characters are well written and the plot is inventive. Another solid delivery. I recommend the whole series to any and all SiFi/Apocalypse readers.

The Ex- series is an amazing juxtaposition of zombie and comic book superhero genres. The characters are genuine, nuanced and complex. The plot is solid and perfectly framed. The concept grabs you from book one, page one and doesn't let you go.
If you enjoy zombie fiction. A must read. And don't miss out on his stand alone, non-zombie masterpiece, "14", which is a fantastic homage to H.P. Lovecraft.

One of my new favorite authors has added another gem to his Ex series and you owe it to yourself to read it.
Others have written bigger and better reviews, so I'll just state what most impressed me. I think that I'm pretty easily entertained, but I often find myself very annoyed with lazy plot holes and the inexplicable actions of characters in books, and especially, movies (Prometheus, anyone?). Well, this book gave me the opposite feeling.
Possible Spoiler Alert:
Peter Clines actually surprised me more than once in this book by how he wrapped up plot lines and character choices. There were a couple of times where I questioned an event, but the author wrapped things up in very plausible, clever and entertaining ways.
I loved it and eagerly await the next book in the series.
