This series of books covers everything an undergraduate would learn when taking a physics course! I was so excited to see how complete these books are. Although you do need a background in mathematics (which I have) due to the fact that Calculus and probability is used.

I love reading this book. I find myself writing on the sides of the pages leaving notes about something random. This book is a must have for everyone that wants to learn about the physical world. This version of the book is great.

No words can describe the inspiration radiated in this book.
Feynman has set the standard for teaching physics.
These books reflect the merits of his life as a teacher.
These books are compelling without simplifying the physics: they are a great pleasure to read and re-read.

Every physics student, whether in high school or college, should read (at least) the first six lectures to get a clearer understanding of what physics is all about. Feynman spent a great deal of time composing these lectures, and clarity was of utmost importance to him. The lectures are very inclusive, and are aimed at the first two years of college for physics majors. Many of the lectures are highly readable for the average person interested in science. Well worth the money!

Feynman truly is a great explainer. I'm working through this in preparation for going to university next year to study physics. And I must say I really cannot imagine a better way of explaining complicated things. It's even funny sometimes.
Highly recommend it, not for total beginners though.

Lectures on Physics is an extraordinary book written by an extraordinary man who goes far beyond the vanity of most breeders and generously devotes his imagination to devise experiments and reasoning available to non-physical (but smart) to allow these to glimpse of how beautiful is that science.

I have spent more time with the Feynman Lectures on Physics than with any other book or set of volumes on any subject. I am most familiar with the first volume, only because I haven't found the time to spend on the other two.
Though there are more exact and rigorous formal treatments of virtual every topic Feynman treats, these are found in more advance texts, and/or scattered through many different books, no other single collection of physics books, that I know of, presents so much material in such a compelling and accessible form at the "introductory" level.
I recently purchased the New Millennium Edition, boxed set. The manufacturing quality is, in general, high. The books are solidly and attractively bound. I agree with another reviewer who found the font to be a bit on the light side; and combined with the glossiness of the pages, it is a bit of strain on my aging eyes. (Reading glasses help.) Nonetheless, the electronically formatted text, especially when it comes to the mathematical expressions is truly beautiful. All of the figures have also been converted to electronic format which makes them more crisp and clear. The conversion was a huge undertaking, executed deftly. I am genuinely impressed and grateful to the people who accomplished it.
Feynman was great at what he did, loved what he was doing and had fun doing it. That exuberance shines through in these volumes. The new format adds considerably to these invaluable volumes.
Good job, Mike, et al.!
Thanks!

Feynman lectures have been the manna of science students for years now. I have been reading these from childhood and it never ceases to amaze me.
Mr.feynman is not just a scientist exemplar but also an orator and writer of great ability.

These lectures are a treat. Feynman's spirit in these lectures is unmistakable. Back in the day, I slogged through Haliday & Resnick, and appreciated the experience, but ... I would have loved these lectures. A great companion to the videos posted by Microsoft Research of the Cornell Messenger lectures by Feynman.

Richard Feynman is unbeatable in explaining physics in a concise and understandable way. Although these lectures are almost "vintage" they are a must-have for anyone occupied with physics in a professional way.

What to say, it is the Feynman Lectures.
The print itself is nice, but not suitable for studying. The book would fall apart if a student would use it for studying. Since I got it just as a reference book, the quality of bonding and print is satisfying.

And printing edition is good enough, because it was an issue that worried me. But it is more than correct.
I'm very happy for this purchase.
I recommend this book to all who likes physics.
