Very well written book. Gives incite into a a person's decision tree and where it takes him/her. Andy gives examples in his life to compare to for a person. He backs up his thoughts with scripture also.

Very simple yet profound book- great to kick off the New Year- also excellent if you are starting some major change that you know you need but are afraid of slipping back into old patterns (weight loss, financial freedom, bad relationships). Encourages an assessment of the path you are on versus your "good intentions". Great read!

Andy provides sound principles that apply to every aspect of our lives - social, emotional, spiritual and financial. His rationale is sound and when applied will offer balance, direction and lead to positive outcomes. I recommend this read to anyone seeking a productive, rewarding and balanced life style.

I love how Andy Stanley communicates through his writing. This book has riveted the point that what matters most is what you do not what you intend to do. A good reminder and an rather encouraging one at that.

Good, practical advice on how decisions you make today can affect the rest of your life and the people you love. Don't look in the rearview mirror - you can't change anything beginning with yesterday and back. You don't get to do over life, so do it right the first time.

If you're a simple person and like trite writing, and if the concept of natural consequences never crossed your mind, you will get something out of this book. But if you're looking for something that dives into the ways to actually make yourself stay on the path to success, this isn't it. I couldn't even finish it. Half-way through I got tired of wading through the stories when nothing new had been added since the first few pages.

Andy Stanley hits upon points that when you first read them it's like "duh." But if reaching our desired destinations were so simple, why do so many of us (myself included) struggle. The Principle of the Path hits upon key concepts to help ANYONE understand how to get from point "A" to point "B" and be aware of the obstacles in between. a great read for anyone at any stage in life, but especially those are still high school or college age.

Don't miss The Principle of the Path.

Simply outstanding. Stanley uses humor (self-deprecating) and practical examples to illustrate a principle which, at initial consideration seems pretty basic, to help us understand why it's so hard to keep the path we're on the one that actually leads us to our "goal".

Andy Stanley has written a great and practical book on the importance of your life choices. Your direction not your intention determines your destination. So brilliant In a society where people judge on "good intentions" Stanley points out that our intentions don't matter if our direction is wrong. A must read for anyone grappling with deferred dreams or a tough decision.

The path is compelling because on first pass it just makes sense. But then the more you read it the more you realize that life is not that simple. If paths were that well defined, that easy to follow, and the outcomes so certain we would all know what to do. We would also be pretty conservative, boring people that never tested a boundary.

It's like chicken soup when you are feeling down - it's nice and comforting but not a lot of substance.
