A 21st Century masterpiece of epic proportion. I am amazed by the scope of detailed research that was required to create such authenticity interwoven into an historically magnificent story. The author is detailing everything from accurate war battles, complete with weaponry from the onset of WWII to Reagan's Star Wars space shield. The characters are alive and intimately understood. Life in post war WWII Europe and America are lived through them. Complicated math, medical information, clothing styles, food, economics and culture are so accurate it staggers the reader's mind. All this and an enchanting love story plus history lesson makes this trilogy an essential read for historical novel buffs and anyone who wants to be totally engrossed and entertained.

This book, the third in the series, is much better than the second book. Tatiana and Alexander go through so many struggles yet achieve so much. Their dedication and sacrifice for their children is heartwarming. The last chapter and pages following that look back over their lives from when they were children and when they first met. It implants further all the obstacles they had to overcome and how much they loved each other. What a beautiful story.

Seriously, amazing book! I honestly haven't read a book that is so well written in a really long time. To say that it is a page turner is an understatement. I would stay up as late as I could stand it just dying to find out what happened next.

This conclusion to Paullina Simons' Bronze Horseman Trilogy is definitely more about character development and less about plot twists than the previous two books, which I love as a big fan of Tatiana and Alexander. The writing gets a little plodding towards the very end of the book, which is why I don't give it 5 stars, but if you are looking for your TBH fix, this will serve you well!

Great read, wonderful love story/tragedy/historical fiction book. I chose this rating simply because I couldn't put any of the trilogy books down from book 1, The Bronze Horseman, book 2, Tatiana and Alexander and then the last, The Summer Garden.

The conclusion of the Tatiana and Alexander trilogy should not be missed! We follow Tatiana and Alexander's struggles as they adjust to life in the U.S. There's passion and discord, as they struggle to attain peace. The parallels of the past are artfully blended with the present. The scenes in Vietnam left me breathless. Bravo! Another page turner!

I am a huge lover of romance novels. And although there is history, suspense, and drama all incorporated in the series, deep to the core is a story about everlasting love. I have never and will probably never again read such an amazing story!

I started to read this book scared by the reviews I had read. I expected horrible things to happen to my favorite lovers, Tatiana & Alexander, but instead, I went on a journey through their marriage of the good & the bad. I came out at the end completely satisfied at witnessing a beautiful & evocative love story. I soon won't soon forget Tania & Shura!

Loved the trilogy--The Bronze Horseman, Tatiana & Alexander, and this one, The Summer Garden--couldn't stop reading! It was an engaging love story but I learned so much about Russian history during and after the Second World War and,, very relevant for today, about Russia's involvement with the Ukraine! It is apparent that Paulina Simons did her research!

Interesting to see how their relationship endured and transformed over the years. My only criticism was that Simons interjected too many graphic sex scenes. lf one read the previous books (The Bronze Horseman & Tatiana & Alexander) the reader was well informed about their sexual encounters & preferences.

I wish the trilogy was a neverending story. The whole story of Tatiana and Alexander is just brilliant. It would be a blockbuster movie.
Someone needs to write a screenplay. Absolutely fabulous writing at her best.

While I enjoyed the first and the second books of this trilogy, The Bronze Horseman and Tatiana and Alexander, I was very disappointed with the third one, The Summer Garden. It is so boring, I could not get past the beginning. The tiny font did not help either. Tatiana and Alexander are safely in the United States and travel extensively in their RV. This is no longer the beautiful story of love and sacrifice but just a life of a married couple troubled by their past. I recommend the first two books of the trilogy very highly but not this one. The author was milking it here.

The Bronze Horseman Trilogy spoiled me for other novels. I recommended the series to my sister and grand daughter, and they feel the same way. We also loved the Outlander Series. I didn't want the story to end.

Parts where the anticipation and intensity of the previous 2 books in the Trilogy shone through but overall I found the storyline a bit disjointed and at times irrelevant. Having said that I was interested enough to read to the end and found closure in the final chapters.

Perhaps this series should have ended with the second book. I'm about halfway through the third book, and really...the characters are just annoying at the point. There is little that makes the characters attractive or sympathetic. The character of Alexander, while (to me) always seemed a bit abusive, isn't even an antihero, it's just rather obnoxious.

Okay, so I finished it: Alexander's character slightly redeems himself, but still not my favorite of the trio. Maybe three and a half stars...

I recommend this series to everyone! You will be on the edge of your seat and not able to put the books down.

This book is about Tania and Alexander's life in America. The struggles they go through to make a living, to stay together as a couple, to raise a family. In this book there are chapters that I really hated Alexander! I felt so sorry Tania after all she went through for him to save him. I cried, I yelled, I got so mad that I had to stop reading for awhile. The characters bring out so much emotions in you. You must read this series!
