First, typos and grammatical errors peeve me: (yet there is only one space after that colon--thank autocorrect) because proofreading is an essential part of keeping any document coherent; most word processing programs include both spell check and grammar checking; I find most errors correctable easily enough, but determining the necessary corrections break pacing and, sometimes an erroneous understanding occurs resulting in perplexion--such as everyday autocorrect errors, overlooked before sending. This author is pleasant to read.

Second, TFS Fugitive has good plot, pacing, story, and characters. Each book in the series has presented logical developments presented logically--though I recall the Cannae thrusters being a human invention, do the other Pelaran-allied worlds all have them, or a different technology--it will be interesting to read where other races have gone, particularly the Greys with their aluminum-bismuth hull composition.

The humans now have a huge region of responsibility and a very small fleet--have you played Master of Orion ][?

Before you begin this book, please realize it is the fourth book in a series; it really can’t be read as a standalone novel, and you need to read the first book in the series or it won’t make much sense to you. Start with TFS Ingenuity: The Terran Fleet Command Saga - Book 1.

Bottom line is if you enjoyed the first three books of the series you will enjoy this one; the author’s writing has become more polished. The author does a great job of getting you right in the middle of the action and feeling as if you are one of his characters - your pulse will start to beat a little faster at times and when he describes the surroundings of his various scenes you feel as if you are right there. As usual, the book ends with a dramatic ending and you have to wait for the next in the series – that is a little frustrating as there is no true conclusion to this chapter.

I picked this up for free using my Kindle Unlimited borrow vs. the regular Kindle price of $3.99: I received more than $3.99 of value out of this one. Now to wait until the next episode….

I have enjoyed this series. This fourth book brings new updates in technology, potential court martial to key characters, a new species is introduced, and a great ending. I would recommend this series to anyone.
The Terran Fleet Command Saga – Book 5 - TFS Guardian :: The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories :: Numb: A disturbing thriller with a killer twist :: Die By the Drop: Shivers and Sins Volume 1 :: The Terran Fleet Command Saga – Book 2 - TFS Theseus

This book ads to the narrative and moves the story along well. It has picked a good balance between story and action the series lacked previously. The descriptions of the technology are just as entertaining as the action sequences.

All four of the books so far have been excellent. Very good character development and interaction. Plenty of action with imaginative plots and new twists along the way. Looking forward to several more in the series.

An excellent series. Good mix of science and speculation, well drawn characters and fast paced action makes for an enjoyable read. In this book the author satisfyingly resolves a number of sub plots. He then really opens the door and introduces us to a whole new set of characters, questions and challenges. The potential story arcs have grown exponentially and I certainly hope to see this series continue.

Nothing particularly new this time around, just some good sci-fi. Maybe a little too much explaining and politics and not enough character building. My biggest complaint with the series is that the characters are very flat. They don't appear to have much of a personality or personal relationships with anyone. Essentially, all of the characters are forgettable.

Once again, it's still reasonably good for the technology and space aspects. There just isn't enough depth to make you really care about what happens in the story other than that they are from earth.

Enjoying the development of the characters and storyline, some good twists and turns. Gets better with every book, to the point that I'm disapointed to reach the end and realise there isn't a followup yet, really looking forwards to the next one.

This entire series is great to read and keeps you wondering what will happen next! Just when you think you have figured out what will happen it throws in some new situation or character to keep you reading more!
