I have never read anything by Sophie Kinsella before, but was drawn to this novel by the premise. Being a classic film buff, the entire time I was reading it I kept envisioning it in my head as a 1930s or 1940s movie. To me it has all the charm of "Blithe Spirit" or "Topper" and I could clearly see Sadie as the free-spirited ghost flitting about in her Twenties' garb, refusing to leave until she had her precious necklace, much to the dismay of her earthbound great-niece. Too bad directors like David Lean and Norman McLeod are no longer around to take full advantage of this wonderful tale!

I love Sophie Kinsella's books, especially the Shopoholic Series. I was in the mood for another funny, witty chik lit book so I searched for Kinsella books I had not read. The premise of this book seemed odd, but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get into it and stopped about a quarter of the way through. The ghost premise was odd and the main character was annoyingly submissive.

Witty writing, cute characters, I liked the ghost aspect of it. It was a fun beachy read, but there was really nothing special about the book. The ending was pretty predictable. But it's nice for light reading.

Sophie kinsella's Twenties Girl is an enchanting picture of a lovely ghost named Sadie. If haunting is to be done make it by Sadie. I enjoyed every delicious word of this novel. Kinsella does her research, so I got a definite feel for the Roaring Twenties. No more will be revealed so you, too, may have happy haunting. Whatever kinsella's writes, I will read!

Kinsella is back again after her Sophaholic serie.
This book is funny but also touching, I think more mature.
Very easy to read, hard to keep your sleeping time during it....
Loved, loved, loved.

This storyline is querky and unusual but so capitivating. I travel for my job and found myself laughing so hard on the plane (which I hate flying to begin with). It made my ride pleasant. Another hit by Sophie Kinsella!

Twenties Girl is a riotous ride along with a hilarious main character that had me laughing out loud for the first time in a long time. The characters are rich, the plot moves quickly and smoothly. Twenties Girl is a great, feel-good read, an excellent addition to the Chick Lit genre.

I've read several of Sophie Kinsella's novels and this one ranks among them but isn't one of her best. Usually her novels make me laugh and this one didn't let me down. A cute story but not quite an entertaining as some of her other novels I've read.

I chose a four star rating because even though it was a good book, I found it to just be okay. I chose to read it because of the title which I know a good book reader never does but I was in a rush to pick a book and then saw this one and it seemed perfect. I did become mesmerized by the book once I started to get into it. And yes I would recommend it to my friends and family.

This was an interesting book. Days after I finished the book, I still wanted to sit down and read some more. I FELT the energy of the story a couple weeks after I was done! I'd be interested in reading more books by this author.

I fist started to like Sophie Kinsella after reading "Can You Keep A Secret?" (my now favorite book) a while back. If you like that book or just like funny, cute, down-to-earth books in general, you will love this. It's very different than other Kinsella books or chic-lit books I've read before - Read it! You won't regret it :)

Oh, how I love Sophie Kinsella. Her books never fail to keep me engrossed and make me laugh. Her writing style is perfect and I eagerly look forward to all of her books. Twenties Girl was a masterpiece. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down! The story is a comedy, a mystery, and a drama all rolled into one. If this is your first Sophie Kinsella book you're in for a treat - and you'll want to read all of them.

I'm truly struggling to finish this book. I enjoyed Remember Me, Can you keep a secret and I've got your number. But Twenties Girl is almost brutal to read. It's boring. It's way too long and drawn out. Sadie and Lara are both annoying. And I haven't laughed not once. It's almost like a chore to finish this book. I still have 150 pages to go and have absolutely no desire to finish it. Normally I read 400 page books in a day. I've forced myself for 3 days to keep going thinking it's going to get better. It doesn't. I feel as though I have wasted my time and my money. Extremely disappointed.

I love Sophie Kinsella books. Her humor makes me laugh out loud. I literally had tears of laughter rolling down my face when Lara was on her first date with Ed. But what I really loved about this book was how it reminded me of how special our elderly friends and family are in our lives. Learn from them. Listen to them. And enjoy the time you have with them.

Really really good book if you enjoy chick-lit. Same type of book as Marian Keys, I really enjoyed reading it. Knew I bought it used and it was a little bit worn but nothing that would make me decrease my rating of it.
