Air Plants: The Curious World of Tillandsias

If you are interested in learning about air plants and love illustrations, then this is a MUST for your library. I thorougly love this book so much that I keep it in my purse to read while I am waiting or sitting somewhere. This is one book that I find myself carrying wherever I go. It is the perfect size book for a medium sized purse.

The photos are beautiful and inspires creativity. I've found bowls around the house that compliment my tillandsia. I've been motivated to use what I have instead of going out and buying more. Simplicity in some of the photos bring a sense of zen to the imagination.

This has made caring for what should be easy plants, even more easier. After killing off a few air plants, I bought this book for help on saving the other ones from my own "Anti-green" thumb. So far so good with the guidance from the book.

Another beautiful book by the world's top garden publisher, Tiimber Press. The photographs are wonderful, the information fresh and informative and the ideas and projects are very inspiring - even for the experienced gardener. Loved it!

Nice charming introductory book, especially for photos and idea inspirations for display. I only have one complaint: a good number of the display ideas are not viable for the plant to stay alive in the long term. Why would you highlight ideas like that? Wish she had more display ideas that accomodate the plants’ needs for good air circulation and avoidance of prolonged moisture. Otherwise a nice book. If you want an in depth review of specifics of care, I highly recommend the booklet Genus Tillandsia by Paul Isley. You can order it from the Rainforest Flora website, and get yourself some lovely plants too, guaranteed not to be wild harvested (unlike a lot of other airplant “nurseries”).
