Made For Me follows Michele, an aspiring designer (who unceremoniously flunked out of design school) without clear direction. She is from a large, loud family, who loves her and has her back, all the while meddling in her non-existant love life. She has an on again off again...ummmmm friend with benefits who at the start of the book was off again. She is disappointed with life, but has no idea what to do about it, until her job disappears overnight, and she has to make a decision.

Made for Me is laugh out loud funny. Seriously. I read this book at every opportunity. Eating cereal in the morning, on the treadmill at work, before bed. Anytime I had a spare second, I immersed myself into the world of reality TV, flowing materials, pins and cutthroat competition.

Kathryn R. Biel created characters you will enjoy. Even the antagonists will be fun for you, I promise. This is an easy read, one that will keep you captivated. You will imagine yourself in Michele's creations, which is so impressive considering you are only getting a verbal description of them. Seriously, though, maybe she could come and be my designer!

You will enjoy this book. This is what I think of when I think 'Chick Lit'. Light, easy, fun, funny and something I smile about every time I think about it. It will leave you wanting just a little bit more. I highly recommend Made For Me.

4.5 stars! I received this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. Main character Michele is stuck in life. She lives in a tiny apartment, didn't finish design school, and is working in retail. When her place of employment closes down, she realizes she needs to change her life. She starts a little Etsy shop, but when she finds out about a new show called Made for Me, she switches gears. The show is a competition between designers and the winner gets to design a real-life princess's wedding gown! Michelle gets on the show and has more than fabric to deal with, including awkward camera interviews, romance, and a "no outside communication" policy.

Michele was a great and relatable main character. She is still trying to find her way in life and there's some huge character development in the story. The secondary characters are interesting and varied. The love interests are crazy different, but each have their charms. I loved the princess, who wasn't what you thought she would be.

The pace of this story was great and it never dragged. It kept my interest the whole time. I loved the premise and the crazy subplots that come from a reality TV show. I also wanted to drool over the design descriptions! I would totally buy Michele's looks! I would highly recommend this to fans of chick lit!

Made for Me follows a prior novel called Completions and Connections. The main character in the first novel was Catherine. This novel focuses on Catherine’s best friend Michele.

This novel was so much fun and I loved it! Biel’s characters are charming and likable. On a personal level, they were also quite relate-able for me. I studied fashion design in school and I used to get wrapped up in my sewing projects. I wasn’t quite as talented as the main character here, but it brought back some fun memories for me!

I read this novel while traveling to Oregon for a long weekend vacation and this novel thoroughly kept me entertained during my flight there and back.

This novel was fun, flirty and filled with comical chaos and humor. I thoroughly enjoyed Biel’s writing and I can’t wait to see what she creates in this future.

5/5 stars for a novel that felt like it was made for me!

I love Project Runway so this seemed like the book for me. Alas, I couldn't even finish it and jumped to read the end. I don't think I missed anything. Why did I quit reading? First off, I had to re-read several lines/paragraphs because hints didn't make sense. At one point the author talks about Duchess Mary speaking in a low voice. A couple of pages later the h says she hasn't even heard the Du Hess speak. Huh?! Second, I didn't finish because the sewing descriptions were too long and detailed in my opinion. They seemed like filler. Third, I thought the h was boring and couldn't see the romance happening between first her and Asher and then her and Lincoln.
Glad I only paid .99 for the book, but still would like a refund of my money and time.

This was the perfect palate cleanser after reading a heavy, engrossing, historical fiction novel. This was my first book by Ms. Biel and I look forward to others. The story was funny with plenty of laugh out loud moments, as we follow Michele's adventures in fashion design. Her life is going nowhere, she's in debt, loses her job, her boyfriend's a douche and she just might have to move back in with mom and dad at age 30. Thankfully, she takes a chance at a spot on the new reality show, Made for Me. It's like Project Runway meets Say Yes To the Dress. Keeping her spot on the show won't be easy, but somehow Michele perseveres. She makes a few friends, a few enemies, and maybe finds love. You'll have to read the book to find out. Thank you to the author for the e-copy to read and review.

MADE FOR ME is an entertaining story with an appealing heroine. Biel writes with a humor that brings the characters to life, and the heroine is someone you can't help but cheer for as she tries to find her way. If you like chick lit, odds are you'll like this book, too.

Disclosure: I won a free copy of this book in a giveaway.

So sweet and cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the quirky characters. Michelle is that friend we all know that you simply love for their good heart. This book is for anyone that loves the concept of Project Runway and sewing.

The chapters about the show were exciting and held my interest. Design details and descriptions were very good. The writing and character development was elementary. It was a fun read but lacking in style. Definitely for women only.

Loved this book! A talented. but not formally educated designer, takes a reality show by storm. She is confident, but not overly so and is pretty naive when it comes to the ambition of others. It all works out in the end, though. This book was different enough from my normal reads that I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

Funny, totally relatable to me from an ADHD standpoint, and all that that affects in life decisions, love, relationships, and following your passions.
Developed characters, easy read, felt like I was right there living it with them.
