Probably the best in the series. Rachel has grown into her power and her relationship with Trent. There are many twists and growing excitement in this installment. Although all of the books are great, this one is my favorite thus far. Very satisfying. If you haven't been introduced to the Hollows yet, I recommend that you start at the beginning with Dead Witch Walking for character introduction. Truly excellent author in Kim Harrison!!!

This is another great Kim Harrison Hollows book. I literally haven't wanted to put it down since I started it last night. This was a nice change of pace from some of the other books where we got to see a lot of character growth and Rachel actually accepting what she is, and responsibility for her choices. I've always been a Trent fan and have felt that Rachel needed to get over some of the "crimes" of the past but of course who doesn't love a bad boy and in this series he's right up there on the list of yummy bad boy's. Since Pale Demon Trent has been obviously doing things to help Rachel out, in this book he's right there by her side trying to keep her out of trouble (like anyone could) and helping her kick bad guy butt. I loved that we got a softer side to the Hollows series this time, it's a side we don't often get to see when all hell is breaking loose and everyone is either fighting or running for cover. We find out a lot of big reveals this time and it's great to know Kim Harrison won't be wrapping up this series anytime soon she has wrapped up some of the cliff hanger story lines, only to throw bigger and badder plot twists and crazy's our way. This was a great read I can't wait to see where she takes us next.

Love the characters, don't want the series to end. Really well written. Paranormal set in a world that knows of them. Character is a cop turned bounty hunter. Most characters have a lot of depth. Those that don't tend to die.

A Perfect Blood (The Hollows Book 10)

I really like all the Hollows books and A Perfect Blood ranks at the top of the list. There are many urban fantasy novels around these days it seems, but very few are as good as Kim Harrison books they are urban fantasy done right.

Yes! Kim Harrison does it again. I enjoyed this installment in the series, Rachel seems to be softening a bit on the Trent relations and I cant wait to see where this leads. It feels like a move is made to progress onto the next stage of Rachel's life and finding out more on the Demons and Elf history was fascinating. I do love this series and am going to be sad at the last installment.

Ok so I missed the feisty, butt kicking demon witch. I missed Al just as much. The whole book seemed like it revolved around how helpless Rachel was and how she needed help getting out of binds. That was before and after she got her magic back. I love this whole series and I will be soo very sad when it ends, but I like Rachel better as kicking butt and taking names later.

Some reviewers see little growth in Rachel in recent books, but I disagree. There is a tension (always) in Rachel about what she wants to do and what scares her. I find the journey she is on to resolve this tension human and believable. She is no Mary Sue and, yes, occasionally she is a tad whiney, but she is also a soul that I see working through a lot of fear and quite some exhilaration regarding the skills she has at her grasp. In A Perfect Blood I think the story progresses in a way that supports that growth, and I love the way she seems to be growing along with Trent. Maybe two camp kids can find a meaningful place in the world they have both altered to encompass Demons and Elves. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to how it all wraps up.

If the story had just been a continuation of previous books in the series, it would have been boring. When I started it, I was tempted to put it down until I saw how Rachel was evolving into the character she had to become. The more you read, the better this book gets and when it ends you just want the next book, NOW...

I have started at the beginning, and sailed my way thru to my latest read; A Perfect Blood. I have loved every one for different reasons. In this,,the number nine in the sequence....Rachel and her team as well as Trent Kalamack take down a dangerous organization which is taking witches, and trying to change them genetically.

I am completely addicted to this series my only regret is i have to wait another 6 months before the next one comes out. Kim's books are the perfect blend of drama , mystery and action. She knows how to tell a exciting story and rely make you feel like you are a part of Rachel's world.

As always, I am delighted with this character and, the story line involved. I've been following this series since the beginning and, I am impressed by the way Kim Harrison's characters grab hold of me along with the personal life and action of the story. Although, there are references to previous books in the series, I think that each book would hold it's own individually. Those that are into the vampyre, werewolf or general occult fiction genre, I don't think that you will be disappointed with this series. Happy reading!

I believe Kim Harrison is winding down this series. As such, this is an entertaining tale which fills in a few gaps. It was good enough to get me to go back and reread some of her earlier tales about Rachel. I look forward to her next book and further development of the characters.

This book was more fun than the last! Finally Rachael and Trent have some touching interactions. Al the demon takes a quiet role. That leaves humans to be the torn in the proverbial side for miss morgan. I like it when I have an idea as to what she can use to escape. Humans are more predictable!

This is my all time favorite series. Action, suspense, drama, horror, laughter, a perfect blend. I love this series so much that I purchased this copy just for the bonus material even though I already owned the book!

Once again the Hollows series takes you on a fast paced, snarky, badass though tender ride through the paranormal life of Rachel and her friends & sidekicks. Rachel furthers her confidence and abilities all while pulling you along on her journey of increased self awareness. Another great addition to the series that once again leaves you wanting more.

Thoroughly enjoyed the action and the progress of Rachel and Trents relationship. You know when you tear up when reading, that the author is a great one. To get a reader so involved and caring about the characters in the story is masterful.

I started reading this series a few years ago and look forward to each new book! If you are new to The Hollows, then you need to start with book 1 (the books get better and better). If you are a fan then I'm sure you didn't read these reviews or even hesitate buying this next book. I know I didn't. The only thing I don't like about these books are getting to the end and having to wait for the next one!

In this book Rachel must decide whether her ley lines are worth all the trouble they give her. She must also decide if she wants to forgive Trent or not. A very good and entertaining book. I really enjoyed it.

Love all the Hollows books, there is always something to surprise readers and that's half the fun. I just hope we don't lose any of the main characters. There seemed to be a hint of that in this book.
