Lee brought out so many things that prove beyond a doubt that God is real and his son Jesus was born here on earth. Also that Jesus was crucified, died, and on the 3rd day was resurrected, and returned to be at the side of the Lord.

Strobel begins by interviewing an atheist and then theologians and historians to debunk the atheist. I found some of the arguments difficult to understand and am not sure I believe all of them. It is thought provoking.

for those truly seeking out their eternity, this book will help. this book is also great for those who want to solidify their walk with God. however, there is not book which can substitute for His written Word. I would suggest reading AW Tozer's 'The Pursuit of God'.

Like many American Christians, I was brought to church most Sundays and endured countless sermons and lessons. Despite this seemingly rich education on Christian principles, I never was exposed to a lesson or class on the existence of God; God's existence was assumed as fact. As I matured into my twenties and went to college, the existance of God was no longer taken for granted. I encountered many agnostics and atheists among my many college professors. The net result of their influence was to question my faith. I never lost my faith, but I found it was a faith that could not withstand scrutiny.

Reading Lee Stobel's "The Case For Faith" continued in me my search for the certainty of my faith. Strobel's book is an excellent place to start investigating the issues that question one's faith. Like in his previous book, "The Case for Christ", Strobel presents interviews with several Christian apologetics that involve issues related to the veracity of the Christian faith.

The issues are as follows:

Can a real living caring God exist in a world filled with evil?

Are the Biblical miracles really true?

Is evolutionary theory enough to explain life on earth?

Is there only one way to GOd - through Jesus?

How can a loving God throw his created people in hell?

Is the church's history, with it's abuses, crusades, and inquistions, a reason not to believe in Christianity?

If I am filled with doubts, can I still be a believer?

Mr. Strobel investigates each issue thoroughly. He approaches the issues as a skeptic who wants to be convinced of the truth. Strobel was once a skeptic himself and his investigative journalism convinced him of the truth of his Christian faith.

If you have questions about your faith, then this is a good starting point for your investigation. There are other books that go into more detail on all the issues raised here, and you may want to purchase these as well for further study. But this is a very good starting point for answering those nagging doubts about your faith in Christianity and one's faith in the person of Jesus.

Most highly recommended.

before I read this book I doubted my Christianity. I have a lot of questions about my faith and all along I thought that was wrong. Upon reading this book it made me realize that the walk that I have in regards to my faith is normal and actually I am in the right path in knowing more my God and savior. This book for me is incredible for Christians that would like to level up their walk and also reassure them that the faith they choose is the right one.

Lee Strobel has a way of instantly capturing your attention and keeping it until the last sentence. His books are not only informative they are enlightening. From the start of "The Case for Faith," Lee Strobel asks the most difficult questions you could imagine. These are questions that trouble believers and unbelievers alike.

For the answers to his questions he contacts experts and interviews each one on one of the topics/questions presented in this book. Why do many scientists no longer believe that life emerged by chance? Is Jesus the only way to God? Can faith really stand up to reason? How can we worship a God who apparently called for the killing of innocent children in the Old Testament? Why would a loving God torture people in an eternal hell? If God is so loving why does evil and suffering exist?

The questions are tough but the answers are comforting. For years I have struggled with these same questions and finally I was able to read answers that made sense. If you are looking for answers to extremely difficult questions then I can highly recommend this book.

Well written and compelling case for believing in God. If you are on the fence about God, please read this and get some faith in your life, before it's too late. The world will lead you astray. This book gets you on the right path.

Written by a former atheist, this book resonates with any Christian who has experienced the awkward moment of rebuttal for some of the tough questions asked by non-believers. Faith is a choice, but in Lee Strobel outlines the most difficult objections and provides fact based answers. A must read for those Christians who want to dive deeper into a conversation with a non-believer, or reinforce their own faith-based questions.

Believe it or not, this book was actually recommended to me by my doctor. I was detailing each of my concerns about the state of our country, the economy, my children's future, etc.... He looked at me and asked if I believed in God and I said "I would like to." He then told me to get this book and read it so I did.

For the majority of my life, I have been a staunch atheist. I always found it absurd that anyone who completed 10th grade biology could simply ignore all the evidence for evolution and believe in creation with no solid evidence to back up their beliefs. Needless to say, as I have aged I have begun to realize that I am not the sole keeper of all the knowledge in the universe and it's possible that there are things that I simply don't have an answer to. I'm sure it happens to the best of us. At any rate, I still have a very scientific mind and a strong preponderance for logic which is probably why faith and I have never meshed very well. This is where the book comes into play.

From the moment I started reading the book I knew that it was something I could digest. The entire book was filled with questions that have prevented me personally from believing in god in the past. Why do innocent people suffer? How can God throw good people into hell simply because they don't believe? Where is the evidence the universe was created? Each of these questions along with many others is tackled head on in this book by scholars and professionals much smarter than I am. In fact, many of the questions are actually answered from a scientific perspective that flips the argument on its head and makes you think not believing in God is the true act of faith.

I would not go so far as to say this book will convert you from a non-believer to a believer. If you already believe, it will certainly strengthen your faith. If you do not, it will force you to take a different perspective and realize you simply don't have all the answers you think you do. If you're in the middle like me with a desire to believe but a stubborn logical mind that prevents the leap necessary to become a believer, this book will do you good. I now realize that faith and science can go hand in hand and you don't have to choose one or the other. If nothing else, it makes you think and challenges preconceived notions in a way that will enlighten your search for answers.

The book was fabulous but needed a dictionary several times to look up words. Written buy a journalist from information from HIGHLY educated professors and scholars. Asks some really terrific questions and answers them too. Have any doubts? Don't think you will after reading this.

Nothing new here. I have heard all of these arguments before. The answers to the questions posed are ones I learned and most of us learned in Catholic or Sunday school, such as why God allows evil to exist. The answer is "free will." Why God doesn't intervene in the affairs of humans or how he does if he does, is a mystery that we may never solve until we each meet our Maker. The book just convinced me that Faith is something you have or you don't. If you don't have Faith, I don't think reading this book will help. If you do have Faith, then you will see God every time you look up at a clear night sky filled with stars or look at the intricate design of a pansy.
