This book is exactly what I expected offering tips and guidelines to deal with high blood pressure regarding diet. If you are new to nutrition and need some step by step support...this could be a good book for you.

This is a great book and wonderful diet. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight for health reasons or just to get in better shape. I have high blood pressure and it is supposed to be very helpful for those of us with this condition. One of the reasons I chose this diet book was because it is easy to follow and there aren't a lot of difficult dishes to prepare.

The Action Plan was a precursor to the Weight Loss Solution Book and it gave me the jump start I needed. In two and one-half weeks I have lost 10 pounds and my clothes are definitely fitting differently. The next step is to monitor my blood pressure to see if the diet has affected it as well.

This book really does help. My blood pressure is lower and I'm almost off all of my medications, I've lost weight and I'm more discipline with eating healthier. I'm more aware of what's on the labels when I purchase my grocery now. I'm very pleased and everyone has noticed how much weight my fiancé and myself has lost. I have been recommending this book to everyone,

I love the book because it was straight forward about what you should be doing to better your life...its not just a diet! Its motivated and educated myself on how to live a healthy lifestyle and very helpful with all the resources and action plans to go with it! I was interested in a book that can help me jump start my change in lifestyle after being told I have hypertension and needed to go on medication. It hasn't even been a week since I started following the DASH Diet and I've not only lost 2 pounds, but my blood pressure has lowered significantly to a normal BP! I can't wait to see my doctor in a week when he rechecks my BP and cholesterol again! Only one problem I have about the book, I wish there was a sodium column for the Appendix A or a separate chart dedicating to how much sodium is in most foods. I've been put on a 1500mg Sodium diet, and was curious about the info on most foods so I can add in my food diary. Other than that, this book will go with me everywhere!
