The Space in Between is an amazing story. While reading the first chapter I sent the author a message letting her know that I was only 4% in, and I was crying! This story was gripping from beginning to the end, and all the spaces in between. I loved all the characters, flaws and all. You will not be disappointed by this book.!

Once again I loved reading Brittainy Cherry's work. She puts heart and soul into each book and it definitely shows! This is a sweet love story about two broken souls that were meant to be together. It gives hope to those who love second chances. A little hardship thrown in the mix and a lot of love to find out who was meant to be there in the end.

I usually love Brittainy Cherry's books. But as much as I enjoyed this book, I was so incredibly bothered by the portrayal of Andrea's best friend that it consistently took me out of the story. Between the stereotypical name choice and stating that Andrea was drawn to La-a (Ladasha) because of her skin color, it deeply disturbed me that the only black character in this book was made to be a complete cliche. I'm sure it didn't help my frustration that the narrator tried to sound black when reading her dialogue. Overall, I felt that Ladasha's character would have been equally as meaningful to the story if she had been named Stephanie, Bailey, or just about any other name out there and if Andrea had been drawn to her in college because of her personality, rather than her color. Again, I liked the actual love story portion of this book, but it was so clouded in racial stereotypes that I had a hard time getting past it.

I've recently read several other books from this new-to-me author that I loved, but this one was just okay for me. It started out so powerfully... In just three days, five hours and twenty-two minutes, Andrea was supposed to be walking down the aisle marrying her sweetheart. Instead, she's in the hospital and her fiance is dead. Her small midwest town is suffocating, and her mother just makes it worse. Andrea is drowning in her sorrows and finally makes a desperate move to New York to move in with her college friend, Ladasha. Andrea's future is pretty much still in limbo, but takes an unexpected turn when she runs into her childhood friend, Cooper. He's battling his own demons right now with a failing marriage and papparazi that just won't give him a break. Together, Cooper and Andrea find a few minutes of normal between them when they block out the rest of the world. This is the part of the book I loved the most, but then... the author took a turn and introduced a whole lotta other silly drama with Ladasha, Andrea's brother, Eric, and his girlfriend, Michelle (not to mention Andrea's mother...again.) I think this book could have been really great if it would have solely focused on how Andrea and Cooper were building themselves back up again without everyone else's side stories.

I've read the Elements series from this author (Silent Waters is one of my favorite books) and just had to go back to read more. This debut book has a wonderful storyline with many different parts that weave together quite well. As in her other novels, the characters are richly detailed and are so real as you read their story. All of this author's books are emotional reads that will rip your heart and soul out.
I very highly recommend this book, and if you haven't read the author's later ones, especially the Elements series, go go go! This was an amazing first book and they just get better from here. Don't say I didn't warn you about the heart and soul thing, but the stories are so worth it.

Just Wow! I stumbled on to Brittainy Cherry by having an 'empty Kindle' with no new books by my favorite authors. I have to say, that this book was just one of the reasons that I have just downloaded all of her books on the store.
Andrea is going through a terrible time. Her fiancé died, and everything in her small town keeps her bound to his memory and her pain. She finally decides to move to NY to try to escape and get on with her life. She moves in with her college friend, Ladasha, who is also a dancer. They are both struggling, and Andrea decides to join Ladasha in her career as a stripper. On her first night, she is hired to do a lap dance for a long lost childhood friend, Cooper.
Cooper is also going through a rough time. He just found out that his wife is expecting a baby...and he is not the father. When he recognizes Andrea in the club, they both decide to explore a physical relationship in the 'space in between'. The words 'soda pop' and 'panda' will never have the same meaning for you after you read this book.
I will not highlight anymore of the story, because I certainly don't want to spoil it for you. Having said that, you will feel Andrea's pain, and witness her strength. Cooper will become one of your favorite 'book boyfriends'. Ladasha will become your best friend, and you will discover what kind of kite you are.

Reading The Space in Between in Between was definitely an emotional ride. I was more than pleased that Ms. Cherry was able to execute a wonderful story with a few of my favorite things. Namely being broken people being finding their way.
The Characters:
Andrea life has been turned upside down, she has lost her fiance in a tragic car accident days before their wedding. To make most matters worse she was the driver. Overwhelmed with guilt she decides to runaway from the many stares and whispers she has endured in her small town. Landing herself in New York with a her friend Ladasha, with high hopes of landing a dancing job. Little did she know she would become a stripper.
Cooper just learned his wife is pregnant the only thing is...it’s not his. Now his life is on a downward spiral. His agent Kyle tries to convince him to get his story out to the paparazzi. After his short stay in a mental hospital the number one thing that he is interested in doing is stay out of the media.
I think this has to be the first story that I've read where the secondary characters are just as flawed and broken as the main characters, but it make everything that more refreshing. I will admit that Andrea’s mother irritated me at times, but I guess she was just being a mom even tho at times it was border lining overbearing
The Story
“We need rules,” .....
“Pretty Woman rules?”
Andrea and Cooper are equally going through things. Life has dealt them a hand that they cannot handle so well. After some much needed persuasion Cooper finds himself getting a private lap dance from this girl from his past. Well she’s not exactly a girl anymore and after they recognized each other that dance didn't quite go as plan. They have found themselves in bed escaping from their pain.
Using sex as a coping mechanism slowly, unknowingly these two start to break each other’s walls down as they are trying find themselves. I adored how Cooper was willing to go all in with Andrea, but she was a little hesitate and with understandable reasoning I somewhat felt that she enjoyed the space of misery that she was in.
The ending was actually a shock to the system with all of the revelations that came out. It left me wanting more. Honestly after reading Ms. Cherry’s debut I enjoyed it so much that I hope that this becomes a series or at least a duo. So I know that their lives are still on track.
If you are a fan of broken people who like to get smexy with each other and have tons of drama in their lives than this is the read for you.

The Space in Between is a breathtakingly tragic and heartfelt story about two people dealing with tragedy and how their chance reconnection mended their broken hearts. Andrea Evans just lost the love of her life in a car accident and is left to pick up the pieces just a few days before her wedding.
Cooper Davidson is dealing not only with rage issues and the occasional drinking issue, but his wife's infidelity and subsequent pregnancy by another man. All he wants to do is forget, drown himself in alcohol, his photography and end things with the woman who ripped his heart from his chest.
A chance encounter between Andrea and Cooper sets off a series of events that has these two immersed in each other's lives inadvertently helping the other heal. I have to say what originally drew me to this book was the gorgeous cover, but what kept me going was the amazing story that unfolded within its pages.
Brittainy Cherry did an amazing job of crafting this story. It was written eloquently and the emotions bled from every page. I love the characters she created even the supporting ones. There were so many twists and turns in the book between Andrea and Cooper and with their friends. I wasn't crazy about Andrea's brother, but aside from that all the characters were incredibly relatable.
It's possible this book made me cry a few times...it was Cooper damn him and his speeches! I really loved seeing them work through their problems and showing that things don't get better overnight and people don't just meet and fall madly in love. The fact that they knew each other when they were younger was also a really nice touch. I didn't expect that.
I don't want to give too much of the book away and I know if I keep writing I will. But what I can say is that this is probably in the top ten books I've read this summer and I'm so glad I decided to review it. I would absolutely recommend this book.

Wait...let me explain... Let me say first.. I ? Brittainy Cherry...
This story was good, it just didn't measure up to the caliber of her other ones. It started off really deep, emotional and dirty. Somewhere around 65% it felt kind of bubble gum, and then around 85% it felt rushed and predictable. If this was from any other author, I would say great story... But knowing Ms. Cherry's work, this one was just good because I know she has the ability to produce literary masterpieces...
This just wasn't one of them.

Two broken people cross paths and are drawn together seeking comfort and release from the space in between their past and the future ...
Andrea Evans is wrought with guilt after the loss of her fiance in a car accident in which she was the driver. Unable to stand the gossip, Andrea leaves her small hometown to share an apartment in New York with her best friend Ladasha. She dreams of pursuing a career in dance, but lands the unconventional job as a stripper.
Cooper Davidson is a famous photographer and reality show star. He discovers that his wife has cheated on him and is pregnant with another man's child. After suffering a very public mental breakdown, Cooper does a stint in a mental health clinic. Upon his release from the clinic, all Cooper wants is to escape from the glare of the paparazzi and move on with his life.
When Andrea and Cooper's paths cross, they form a relationship that has no emotional ties. How long can their relationship stay in the space between superficial and love when passion and respect grows between them?
In her debut novel, author Brittainy C. Cherry weaves a wonderful tale about two broken people who come together and learn to move forward from the trauma of their pasts, in the hope that their lives can be made whole again. Told in alternating points of view, Andrea and Cooper takes the reader along on their emotional journey of healing and getting a second chance of finding love. You can't help but get drawn into Andrea and Cooper's story as their personal trials and tribulations, drama, secrets, betrayals, loss and romance unfolds. The development of Andrea and Cooper's relationship is phenomenal, the passion and chemistry between them is palpable, while their mutual respect and strength in helping each other heal is very touching. This riveting and gut wrenching story will pull at your heartstrings, causing you to feel the full gamut of emotions that will leave you spent.
With an interesting cast of characters who are realistic and have flaws that are easy to relate to; engaging dialogue and dramatic interactions; and a storyline that has a mixture of humor, drama, romance and surprising twists and turns that keeps the reader turning the pages, The Space In Between is a beautifully written romance novel that will leave a smile on your face.

Wow Brittany C. Cherry really takes the reader on an emotional journey in The Space In Between! Some parts are hilariously funny, whilst others are devastatingly sad.
The story is told from the dual POV of Andrea and Cooper. Andrea has fled to New York after the tragic death of her fiancé Derrick five months ago. She's messed up, devastated and struggling to cope. Cooper has left his cheating wife and cannot face being around her after she got pregnant by another man.
Andrea accidently finds herself working as a stripper-in-training (the idea of an accidental stripper in training cracks me up). Her first dance turns out to be for a depressed Cooper who was forced to go to the strip club by his manager. Oh did I mention Andrea and Cooper sort of knew each other years ago? Cooper's cousin is dating Andrea's Brother.
I won't give any more of the plot away, except to say I saw the Rachel storyline coming (sneaky witch). I was in hysterics at the Michelle, Eric, Ladasha development!
The secondary characters were brilliant. I think every girl deserves a bestie like Dasha; she was my favourite character by a mile! It was nice to see Cherry address the racial issues Dasha faced from the nosy busybodies in Andrea's hometown. I loved how Andrea and Eric put them all in their place! I really hope Dasha gets her own book?!
Some parts of the story were so sad and at times difficult to read. I always felt a sense of hope coming through everything though. I'd like my own Cooper if anybody wants to fed-ex him to the UK!? I also won't be able to think of soda-pop in quite the same way ever again!
4 Stars in my Sky!
My fav non-spoilery quotes:
*Everything I knew about strippers involved drugs, sex, and Channing Tatum. Okay, well, two out of three weren't terrible but still.
*"What if I can't be fixed?" I glanced to the floor panels and copied her finger movement along
*the cracks. "Then we'll be broken together."
*"And don't try to push me away because I'm like cockroaches in the ghetto. I'll keep popping up, unwelcome."

The Space in Between, Brittainy Cherry debut novel, was released a few days ago and the fact that this unknown author's book had many positive reviews in such a short time, caught my attention and made me want to read it as soon as possible. Again, without reading synopsis, I was surprised.
Finally, a decent cover. Beyond decent! Sublime. I'm really tired of covers with faces or bodies touching, almost naked and very appealing. And it's good when the wrapper is consistent with what we read. The delicacy of this cover is present on every page of this story.
The Space in Between tells the story of Andrea and Cooper, two people broken by their past, whose hope for better days seems to have faded long ago. I know, you must be thinking it's one more romance like many others, with broken characters and cliches scenes. I must tell you that there is something different here, there is something unique, there is a subtlety and a balance between sadness and happiness, between fragility and strength, between the overwhelming intensity of a kiss and the latent pain of a goodbye.
Andrea is completely lost after her fiancé's death in a car accident, and the guilt of beeing who have been driving the vehicle consumes her more and more. Tired of all gossip in her small town, Andrea moves to New York, to share an apartment with her best friend, Ladasha, who gets her an unconventional job.
Cooper is a famous photographer and a reality show star. He discovers that his wife is expecting another man's child, and goes crazy. Also, has a sad past with family problems.
The day they meet each other - or meet again - they begin a relationship that may seem strange and superficial at first, but that will grow, flourish and enchant us. The way the author built the passion, complicity, respect and love between them is fantastic and deserves applause. They don't want to fall in love, but that's what we see and feel, day by day, word by word.
The words Panda and Soda Pop, and the Pretty Woman movie rules will have a new meaning. Soda Pop! Genial! You will even wish a day in the year called The Opposite Day, in which everything you say, mean the opposite. That day was magical, sad, I know, but beautiful.
All characters in this story are well developed, including the secondary ones. You feel them, you see through them and who they really are.
But best of all, I must tell you, is Cooper. COOPER! I have no words to describe how delicious was smiling and melting with him, with his words and gestures. Cooper, I completely, madly, truly, deeply fell in love with you! One of the best characters of the year, no doubt.
Do I need to stress that I insanely recommend The Space in Between? I hope this unpretentious and simple romance could make you smile as I smiled. Enjoy it!
"I'll be better tomorrow."
"No you won't. But that's okay...I'll wait."
"For how long?"
"How long will I wait? Take forever and multiply it by infinity. And then I'll wait some more."

The Space In Between- Brittainy Cherry-
She’s scarred by her past.
Andrea Evans is traumatized and guilt-ridden by the death of her fiancée. Tired of the gossiping small town, she travels to New York City to pursue her dream of dance.
He’s uncertain of his future.
Cooper Davidson is a famous photographer and reality television star trying to flee from his own life filled with paparazzi, mental health clinics, and a cheating wife who is pregnant.
Andie and Cooper both have pretty heavy pasts to get over. Great story about two people who figure out who they are, who they want to be and whether they want to be together. I really enjoy everything by Brittainy Cherry.

This book was cute. Good storyline, good characters, and good ending. That's just it, it was just good. It was missing the wow factor for me.
I found myself reading faster just to get to the end. You know those books that are so good you dread the ending because you don't want it to be over, that wasn't the case here.
It wasn't bad but I just felt something was missing.

I both cried and laughed through this book. I felt Andrea's pain even though I have never lost someone I was in love with. And Cooper, I felt his anguish and was there alongside him as he dealt with a cheating spouse. I felt Andrea was a very developed character and Cooper was about 75%. I wish he had been a little more fleshed out and I think knowing Iris's fate would have helped. I hope that she writes the story of Dasha and Eric because it seemed as though that was where she was leading.

I liked the fact that although it was fiction, once again the author
was able to bring in actual facts of life and kept it interesting?I've now read 7 of her books and none of them disappointed me. They all were romantic novels that made you feel warm and content with not an overbearing amount of sex. Good Job?

What an amazing heart grabbing book. I first noticed this author with The Air He Breathes. This book for me was another favorite. I loved the dynamic of the two characters. There was pain, laughs, and love. Ms. Cherry has a great ability to pull you into her stories and fulfill all of my requirements. Both of the main characters are strong, flawed but not so much that they are unrealistic. This author will be going on my to insta read list.

I really enjoyed this story! Two broken people, one rule. Friends with benefits looking for escape from sorrowful reality. Over time will they be able to stay just friends. There is so much sadness, yet there was hope when they were together. A very sweet couple together, I enjoyed them very much!! The story is quite well developed and I found myself thinking about the characters even when I wasn't reading. I highly recommend this book. Quite the emotional roller coaster ride!!!!

Wonderful story, great read. Life has its ups and downs, it takes us from light to dark and back. If we allow ourselves to visit the space in between,we might just find in ourselves what we were missing.

Overall well written and interesting. The two characters were flawed by their own insecurities which can happen in a relationship following a stressful event. The story reads a little slow in the beginning, picking up toward the middle with a "real" ending. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

Oddly enough, this was brittainy's LAST book that I read! Haha!! But, her books are always so incredibly amazing!! She is BY FAR the best contemporary writer I have ever read!! All of her books have made me laugh, cry, feel heartbreak, and feel the happiness of the characters. She has an amazing way of making you want to read every last word as quickly as possible to find out what happens, and as slowly as possible at the same time, so that it doesn't end. I will be on the lookout for her next book with excitement!!

This was an amazingly well-written Book. The characters were crazy as he'll and the storyline was indeed spectacular. I loved the RomCom effect and the bit of drama that offset it to be a perfect book. Loved the 2nd chance romance too. You are an Amazing Author!! Must Read!!

Is there a page or two missing from the beginning of the e-version?? I attempted to read this using the Kindle Read Now function on my desktop, but things seemed to skip around too much, so I couldn't get a good handle on what's going on.
apparently the fiance died? survivor is a young woman who may not dance? But I'm not sure. Plus the writing style in the first chapter or two made things seem vague. I just couldn't continue.

I mourned and fell in love, then mourned some more. Brittany Cherry creates a world of possibilities, excitement, and hope. She gently reminds us that there is life after tragedy and encourages her readers to step out on faith; take chances. Happiness is for everyone.

Not her best work, but the heart was still there. I am usually so obsessed with her books, but this one was difficult to get through. I don't know why. Maybe it wasn't as developed as her other books? The writing wasn't as beautiful. The characters were not as developed.

Brittainy Cherry is an amazing author who isn't afraid of emotions and chaos. I loved this book like everything else she has written. Her characters are so complex yet so relatable that I can't help but fall in love with them.

I had a difficult time getting into this book but after about halfway I was invested. I had a hard time connecting/relating to Andrea. High drama and kind of juvenile. Cooper was definitely easier to relate to. I loved the last several chapters. The characters seemed to have more depth! There wouldn't be anything to draw me to a sequel if it was written. Ended up being a sweet story about two damaged people.

What a beautiful and wonderful book! I am quickly becoming a fan of Brittainy Cherry. I love her writing style. Loving Mr. Daniels reeled me in, this book sealed the deal.
It's a beautiful story that made me laugh, made me cry and warmed my heart. It isn't just a novel, it's also an inspiring piece of work. There are so many life lessons to take away from it. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to read a "feel good" novel.

My second Brittainy Cherry book..and I was not disappointed! Ms Cherry writes a fine story of love, disappointment and betrayal. I love her style of writing and the fact that she writes a complete story. With several characters lives to follow, she keeps you on your reading toes. I plan to check out her other books and see what else is in store for me!

I had a serious problem reading this one from the beginning. The way it's written isn't as good as 2 others I've already read by her. There was a lot of grammatical confusion to the point I just skipped to the end. It's unrealistic & somewhat as cheesy as a soap opera. I'll just wait for future books.

Wow! What a emotionally powerful story...I couldn't put it down. I was pulled into this beautifully written story from the first page. I could feel the emotions of Andrea and Cooper as I read and wanted to reach into my Kindle so that I could give them both a hug to let them know it will all be ok! Definitely recommend reading this book.

Her stories are fun, engaging and page turners! I'm always looking toward to this next page and this story was no exception. Great modern love story with a bit of mystery and a just the right amount of suspense!

Brittainy Cherry pens "The Space Between" in a smooth flowing plot filled with emotions that had me crying. A beautifully written piece of work where the characters had great chemistry, and are strong, well developed, and very believable. This is one book that kept me up until I was finished reading. Highly recommended for all contemporary romance fans.

Gripping start, excellent transitions and ending. It’s a story about love, maybe not the conventional love story but one where the broken pieces of one heart can be the healing touch to another’s broken pieces.

After reading "the Air He Breathes" I had to search for more books from this author. So I wanted to start with her first book. For a debut novel this was fantastic. Again reading her books is a Heart wrenching. soul stirring exp. I would love to explain this but afraid of being a spoiler. Just read this book, seriously READ IT! There is simply no way for my review to do this book justice, except to say prepare yourself for a story that will leave you breathless and swooning for a man like Cooper with his flaws and all.
Brittainy Cherry is now one of my fave authors and I'm just finishing "Art & Soul" and my heart is in my throat and tears burning in my eyes.

Loved this book. I really love this author. I have read every book and I never get disappointed. Cooper is awesome
Not a manwhore at all. Andrea was not a whiny brat type but she went through a lot emotionally. Plus I love how he loved her from childhood but I didn't get that from her. Awesome book

Loved the characters & the storyline was brilliant.
Can't believe this is a debut novel by this author. I hope I don't have to wait much longer to read some more of hers.

The characters deal with death, pain, and disappointments as they learn to love again. The family dynamics add to the development of the characters as the reader gets to know them. I couldn't out the book down.
