National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Animals (National Geographic Little Kids First Big Books)

Our five-year-old daughter LOVES this book!!! It doesn't have SO much information that she feels overwhelmed...but has enough to keep her interested ~ and learn fun facts about some really awesome and awesomely-cute animals :) I think it's a nice jumping-off point to introducing a more serious, more reading-intensive animal book/encyclopedia when reading skills are more mature. You really can't beat National Geo for unique, in-your-face pics!

Overall this is a great book for children to learn about different animals and where they live. The only thing that would of made this book better would have been to include crocidile and hippopotamus Wich are my son's favorite animals.

I ordered some of these books with different themes.
My son and I open each book to look at the beautiful pictures he learn names of each animals. and I explain them.
He enjoys it and even looks at the books by himself.
This will form his good habit with colorful books.

very interesting books with endless interesting facts about animals i read it to my 4 year old who loves animals and he gets so excited to hear about them will recommend it to anyone who would like to know more about animals

My grandchildren love it,they are so excited when it come in the mail, they look at it for hours. It’s a wonderful way to interact with children and talk about the stories and animals. And best of all I get to spend time with them.

The book is great. Awesome pictures that stand up to the nat geo reputation. I bought this for my two year old. He is not very interested. I might have bought it too early. I've kept it aside since I know he'll love it when he's slightly older, maybe in a few months.

As an ardent animal lover, I recall learning an important respect and love for them from my dear parents early in my childhood. Our own grandsons have learned this important life lesson from our son and daughter-in-law. We were delighted to discover this book to further enhance this wonderful set of life experiences....
