A Dark Romance (Keep Me Series Book 1) - Keeping Her

I voluntarily read this ARC book and choose to leave a review. This was my first Angela Snyder book and was not let down. It's a dark, twisted love between Lucien and Adeline that draws you in. I'm not fond of cliffhangers, but I will be reading book two. A magnificent book put together with passion that keeps you intrigued. Loved it.

Normally dark romances aren't what I typically like to read, but I am extremely glad I started this series. I think Angela created great characters that have depth even though they have dark pasts and deep seated issues that aren't very relate-able it's hard not to empathize with them and get sucked into this story. I am looking forward to the rest of the story, since this was left on a pivotal cliffhanger!!

This was a great dark read, very well written. It pulls you in and keeps you till the end. Adeline and Lucien are a great match. They both have demons they are fighting. There are so many things going on in this book it makes you feel them all. It is a HOT read. I received this as an arc and voluntary reviewed it.

Wow this was a great dark read I just loved the story the characters were off the charts hot I really was just captivated from the start I really couldn't put it down fantastic

This book is an excellent start to the series. It is well written and had a complex storyline. I loved the characters and their different personalities and traits. If you don't like cliffhangers then I'd give this book a miss. I look forward to the next book! I received an arc of this book in return for a voluntary review.

I really loved this book. Sexy, edge of your seat great story. Lucien and Adeline are so hot and steamy together. This book was done very well, i read it in one sitting.

I absolutely loved this book. It has you captivated right from the start. There a little suspense and deception. This book does end in a cliff hangers but it is so worth it. I loved the Characters. I can't wait for book two in September. The way may kill me

Adeline gets kidnapped and stuck in a room and has no clue what is going on. Lucien from first glance is hoping his lucky 7 will change him. But what happens when Adeline and Lucien find out the truth about everything? Wow I loved this book! And that ending has me wanting more.I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book

The girl clearly has Stockholm syndrome. I mean, the symptoms are actually there. Now granted, that is sort of what I came for so it doesn't really matter, but usually with books like this, the author is better at not making it look like the girl actually does love the guy and actually doesn't legitimately have Stockholm syndrome, they make it seem like she doesn't have it and that she loves the guy so like... I don't know. Like, it's not terrible. Also, Lucien's whole OCD issue is very well nuanced. But at the same time, the sex shouldn't be the cure for what's going on. It seems like the author is trying to make it seem like love is what's curing him of what's happening, his OCD and all that, but really it's just that they had sex and that's kind of weird. The word choice is mostly okay, there was a couple of repetitive sentences, I'm really not a fan of the word pussy, but other than that... I mean I've read worse. This is a solid 3 stars.

This book has me indecisive. It decent, good storyline, good writing, but it’s not keeping my attention and I can’t figure out why. I’ll read the next one, because it’s right up my alley, but I’m not terribly excited about it. We’ll see I suppose.

Long drawn out story. Each character spends too much time alone I their own world, occasionally interacting with others in the story. Very boring. If you like for the story to take forever to build, then this is the book for you. The sexual encounters are well written, but it takes forever to get to them.
