This is one of the best collection of classic story books! All the best stories are included. Some included are Good Night Moon, The Zaks, Guess How Much I Love You. I have bought copies to give to give as baby shower gifts!

Good collection of Kids Classics like "Where the Wild Things Are", Babar, Madeline and other stories. Some I've never heard of but looking forward to reading them all. A bit on the heavy side for laying down on your back and reading but manageable. My daughter enjoys it and has selected this book for bedtime stories. Recommend for your collection
The Red Pony (Penguin Great Books of the 20th Century) :: Start Something That Matters :: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions :: The Boron Letters :: His to Take: A Dark Romance

Through the years I have ordered and reordered this book to give as baby gifts and probably have given over fifty. The book has been appreciated. Years later I often have comments from parents that they still have the book and it is being enjoyed by sibblings.

This book truly is a treasure, loaded with far more stories then expected, and containing stories suitible for children of different ages. Reading bedtime stories to my infant, she loves the dazzleing pictures of the younger stories such as chika chika boom boom, and good night moon. I look forward to enjoying this book with her for years to come

This is a great compilation of stories. Some I've never heard of (ex. I Hear, I See, I Touch; Stevie; Ten, Nine, Eight). Some I've read but would never purchase & would probably never check out of the library but since I have them I'll read them to my son (ex. Madeline; Curious George; Stellaluna; Amelia Bedelia). Some are on the curriculum list I plan to use to home-school my son (ex. Swimmy; Make Way for Ducklings; Harry the Dirty Dog; The Snowy Day). But many I have or would have purchased anyway (ex. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom; Guess How Much I Love You; Goodnight, Gorilla; Mike Mulligan & His Steam Shovel). I'm not bothered by the condensed illustrations. If I feel those are needed for a story I could check it out of the library. I'd be more upset if the stories, themselves, were abridged. The stories that are partial to an original book are stand alone & do not take away any enjoyment of the story. My little guy doesn't sit still long enough to enjoy these stories but I've been reading to him since he was hours old so reading literature to him while he's playing or creating or even while he's falling asleep brings me great joy. I'm looking for the day when he begins carrying this around like he does our copy of The Hobbit (not read to him...yet) & Winnie the Pooh (read to him regularly).

A Delightful book! Full of all the favorites we all grew up with with lovely pictures! Stories are great- some short (for those very tired nights) and some longer, when you just want to read a good story with your child. Very nicely done, a keepsake for sure!

We recently remodeled and couldn't locate our "The 20th-Century Childrens Book Treasury" We purchased this book again, recieved it quickly and in great shape. Many nights, my son reads from it in bed and sleeps with it along with his favorite stuffed toys. Both my children have their favorite stories that are compiled, with all the wonderful illustrations from these classic books. This is a great treasury that they will hand down to their own children!

The stories are all there but the pictures are too small to enjoy. My four year old has a hard time staying interested with only small pictures to look at. Would be great for kids a bit older who don't rely on the pictures so much

The 20th Century Children's Book Treasury is a wonderful collection of time-tested children's (and parent's) favorite stories. What a convenient way to keep such intriguing stories together for reading and re-reading at bedtime or anytime.

This has all my favorite books from my childhood including Good Night Moon, Guess How Much I Love It, and many more. This would be great for parents as well as teachers. I'm currently using it for a course on Children's Literature at college.

I ordered this book used in "Very Good Condition" I have always been pleased with the condition of the books I have received. This book was purchased through "Nemitzc". The book is old, worn, scuffed up with mildew. I don't even feel comfortable reading this to my 7 mo old great granddaughter. It is just too nasty. The only thing that resembles the picture on the store is the title. Don't waste your money on books from this vendor.

The 20th-Century Children's Book Treasury is a must-have for all children. It is wonderful to have all these popular and classic stories located in one book. This is perfect to keep by the bed for night time routines. Our favorite is Make Way for Ducklings. Enjoy!

I have been reading to my grandkids from this book for the last several years. What is great about it, is that for all the different ages of our grandkids there are appropriate stories. If I were limited to only one book to read to children, this would be the book.
