Are the bad guys fallen angels or genetically bred supermen? Are the good guys well trained agents or super agents? Is the dog a good guy or a bad guy? You will need to read this story to find out.

A strange hum in remote locations around the world. Agents from a secret American agency called D17 are dying in increasing numbers. A D17 investigation into a French company turns up 900 grams of anti-matter, a large man that is a mountain of muscle like never seen and a large dog like creature with an extremely large brain pan. All this leads to one D17 finding things that he does not believe is possible. But he finds out it is, and what is coming no one may survive.
Recommended read, would like to see a series made of this.

The story is reasonably engaging, but the FREQUENT typos (e.g., tying laces on a pair of ice hockey "shakes," and a "circler" (circular?) device coming down from the ceiling) and factual errors (e.g., it's morning in Washington but still nighttime in France... which is 6 hours AHEAD of Washington?) make the book difficult to read. On top of that, the authors can't seem to decide what to call one of the main characters (please, guys, refer to him as either "Jack" or "Elliott," but not both) even within the same paragraph at times.
This book has been out long enough for these errors to have been fixed. It's an ebook, guys; it's not that hard!

Always a good read from Heppner -- this being middle of the road for him, which is still five stars. My main problem with him is he must be ADD -- he writes some of one series, switches to another, then another, then another ... and you are waiting on the first. This is costing him sales as I won't get his books anymore until he is done. Lost Colony, Lost Starship, Extinction Wars ... finish them one at a time please!

A great read. Focused action, clear and concise character dynamics. Would be a great series, and a great start to either a TV show or movie. I'd recommend this book to book to anyone that liked Stargate, or any of the modern action/ sci-fi movies or books.

I like stories that mix past myths, and beliefs into a plot. It almost makes you believe the explanation makes the story plausible, that it could happen that way. There are some truth that myths have some real explanation to them, any makes this story worth reading. If you like that kind of thing.

Our heroine is challenged by people posing as military. She enters an ancient artifact. Her companion is killed defending her life. He tells her is is an agent of the US Government. She returns to her boat to find everyone murdered and the boat steaming away. She dies a 100 mile ocean swim while being searched for by her pursuers. What does she do upon reaching shore? Goes to Egypt to continue her research. Really? Is anyone that stupid?
I rarely put a book down. If it had not been on my Fire I would have thrown it overboard.

Great mystery and drama all in one kept me coming back for more. Really enjoyed the plots and twists with fast paced change of directions. The tie into the past and ancient aliens just intrigued me more. Yes would enjoy more of Jack Elliot and Selene Khan adventures if that is possible. Thanks great story.

Moved along well but the flashing back and forth so much became confusing at times. Also I was very distracted by the grammatical errors and extra words or missed words. If you continue to write please get an editor.

Interesting book. Few mistakes better editing would have caught, but they were minimal. Nice mix of science, action, and a little bit of religion. There is enough of an opening to continue as a series, but the book stands on its own. Good read, worth the time.

This book was an interesting concept on advanced civilizations visiting earth's past. The size of the "secret" organization was a bit overwhelming but still believable. The plot developed well and in all had many surprises. Would make a good trilogy; but must zap more bad guys faster.

Well written, action driven, excellent ideas deftly handled. Characters are fairly deeply explored and well presented. Smart dogs and smarter agents save the world from ancient aliens in deep cover. Pulls few punches. Well edited. Very enjoyable read.

Overall, this was a pretty good story. I think it was a little confusing at the beginning until you learned the different characters. I did like the reference to "ancient aliens" or "angels", and think this would make a good series.

Left me wanting more. I have read several of Mr. Heppner's books. I believe this is the best of the lot so far. I enjoyed his books I have read, but found the characters in those books to sometimes appear somewhat one dimensional. That was not the case in this book. I hope he makes this a series.

Ancient technology turns into a battle for stopping the destruction of the earth. Tales of the past entwined with the mythical gods and their technology. Patterns of cataclysmic events from a different perspective. "Mother" wants to reopen portals to let the alien "fallen angels" back upon the earth. Agent Elliot and Selene combine forces with a disreputable man , a genetically enhanced canine, and French agent to stop the inevitable. Great read. Hope it becomes a series.
