I hated that this book was shorter than her other ones because her books are so industry either that I felt like we didn't really get to know Eli as much as I wanted to. Still, it was a good book, well written and with just enough conflict. The author is talented and seems to find many ways to connect the reader to the story. I can't wait for the remaining books!

Loved the book. Waiting for the next one. Pulls you in and makes you a part of the book. Anyone who loves to read will enjoy this book. A author who can pull you in as Brenda Novak does is a book any reader wants to read. To be transported into a city, into a family, is a author worth reading.

I was left wanting more, wanting to know where the character's lives went next. I'm hooked into the next in this series. My kind of author for sure. Brenda writes so your minds eye clearly sees the scene and person.
