Magnus is another of the common metal dragons that was found and awakened after their ship sank several hundred years ago. Magnus is the technical genus of the crew. He had designed and made their ship and now he can fix anything he can get his hands on but cars are his favorite. His car gives him the same freedom as his ship did so he spent his night driving around hoping to meet his mate. One night he sees a car stopped by the side of the road with a flat tire. He stops and helps the woman even though she repeatedly said she didn't need the help. She is very cautious around Magnus and speeds off as soon as she is able. As she drives off, Magnus' dragon claims her as mate, but it is too late, she is gone with no way to figure out who she is.
Lindy is having a rough time. Her father recently died and her garage is being threatened by a rival business. Her ex-boyfriend also embezzled from her so she is down a mechanic. She turns to Rent a Dragon for help. She needs a bodyguard/ mechanic/repairman. When she arrives, she meets her new employee Magnus. He was the man who helped her change her tire an few nights ago. Magnus seems too good to be true. He is great with cars, a hard worker and protective. Too protective since Lindy has learned that depending on a man could be bad. She tries to keep her distance.
Magnus is thrilled because his mate has been found and he is working for her. He is doing his best to be a great mate and trying to take care of her but Lindy pushes him away. Then she gets threatened by her rival company and go goes all out to protect her. Will he be able to win his mate or will explaining that he is a dragon drive Lindy off for good.
I love these awakened dragons stories. These powerful dominant men trying to adjust to modern women and situations can be hilarious. The love they have for their mates is very touching. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Book Two in the series is another strong entry! Magnus is the cocky Iron Dragon who meets his mate on the side of a dark road...and promptly loses her! Lindy is the independent-to-a-fault mechanic whose struggle to keep her father's business afloat brings her to Rent- A- Dragon. I love their romance; they each want to help the other even as their own pasts are weighing them down. The camaraderie between the characters makes for fun reading, and the climactic battle was thrilling...but no one anticipated an escape from the dumpster?! I'm also intrigued by Mercury and how he fits into the storyline. I'm ordering "Titanium" now!

Another great one Terry! I cant wait to ready more from this series. I fell in love with your cocky unsure dragons and I am so glad that you are expanding on them. Your shifter world is complex, but not predictable and tiresome. Please tell me you will have more!! Each character has a flaw and you make them so easy to fall in love with. Magnus is just amazingly tortured along with someone who has her own issues, they will heal each other. I cant wait for Titus!

This is a good dragon shifter romance, with a likeable couple. It did bother me a little that Magnus wanted her to trust him and share her pain, but didn't want to share his own pain with her -- that was a bit of a double standard. He did finally share, but not very willingly. It also seemed like she fell for him a little too quickly, since she was not a shifter. But it was nice when they found their HEA.

Now I want to know what the deal is with this Mercury dragon, and why he is determined to destroy the other dragons. I'm hoping that will be in the next book.

Another great read from Terry Bolryder. This is Magnus and Lundy's story, both characters have baggage and as we get to know them we get to understand what has happened to them both to make them the characters they are. As always Ms Bolryder has given us well written characters, with the right amounts of pathos and humour. We also have an expansion of the mystery that we now know is threading its way through the Rent-a-Dragon series, and like other reviewers I really want to know where, why, when and how these four dragons have come from! Thoroughly recommend this series, love these books.

The action is heating up for the metal dragons as Magnus the Iron Dragon goes to work as a mechanic in Lindy's garage. This couple has some issues to overcome on the way to happiness. She is afraid to love after her father's death and he feels responsible for his crew ending up at the bottom of the ocean since he built the ship they were sailing on. There is a rival dragon with some unusual abilities and a long-standing vendetta against the metal dragons that hints at some exciting developments for Titus' book.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.

"...like a porcupine curling up with its spines out." - This is how LIndy is. She has suffered much in her past. This suffering has caused her to shut herself off from others. Lindy doesn't want to accept help from others but she knows she needs help with her problem. When she hires Rent-A-Dragon she gets more than she bargained for. Magnus has his own past suffering that is affecting his life. Will Magnus and Lindy find a way to help each other heal?

Magnus aka Iron Dragon can be cocky and over confident but it worked for him most of his life because he knows how to build things well and ishe good ato whathe he does. But when he meets his mate Lindy he not only needs to show how strong and confident he is. Magnus has to trust Lindy as she trusts him with her heart, which doesn't come easy for her as well. Magnus has to find away to trust Lindy and share what's eating away at his soul.
We learn more what evil is lurking around trying to harm the metal dragons and their mates.

Magnus Ironside is strong, quiet, introspective and old fashioned. He is so caring and tender about Lindy and her feelings. Great story line. Each dragon story gives us a glimpse into their past and what made them who they are.
Beautifully written. Can't wait to read Titanium's adventure next. Now that we have been introduced to Platinum, can't wait to see what's in-store for him. Another good book Ms Bolryder!!!

I absolutely love Terry Bolryder and it doesn't matter how many books by her that I read, they never get boring or redundant, and that in itself is an amazing quality in an author. Her Dragon series is just wonderful, and I fall in love with each new one as they are awakened. Please, do yourself a HUGE favor, and get your hands on any and every book by Ms. Bolryder that you can, because you will never be disappointed!

As always, an entertaining story. Well written and plotted. I liked the first one slightly more because there was less bantering among the metals in this book. I really need to learn to not buy books before the entire series is finished. I just get too impatient waiting. Lol. Grab this book and be ready for the next one. I would love for our remaining bachelor gem dragon to finally meet the mate who claims him.

Great fun and short novel. I love these dragon series. Seeing all these dragons find their mates and become better people always gives me so much enjoyment. Magnus and Lindy were fun because Lindy is such an independant person and he is so protective and wants to take care of her. I love the whole Viking background the dragons have and learning more about the shipwreck made me sympathize with them.

Iron. A big sexy dragon that loves dogs, working on cars, and his mate. This book is wonderful the characters are deep and real, as far as dragons go. Very hard to put the book down once you pick it up. It draws you in and you lose track of time. Warning: You may stay up too late reading this book.

A highly entertaining, paranormal romance that's a definite must read! The unique storyline, complex characters you can't help but love, lots of humor, a bit of suspense, and intriguing twists will pull you in right from the start, and you won't be able to put it down till the end. Another fantastic book in this awesome series!

I highly recommend this book, series, and outstanding author!

Poor Magnus - living with guilt over what happened to his crew. While Lindy is trying to deal with the death of her father as well as someone trying to sabotage her business. Can't wait to see what happens with this new foe, seems to be very strong. I love how in this series we are seeing the bond with the dogs. Great story - can't wait for the rest

I literally devoured this story. Magnus, so hard, strong and protective on the outside but so hot, tortured and in need of the love of the right woman. A true Viking warrior and a huge bonus, he's a kick ass dragon!. Awesome read. I'm ready for my next close up with Titus. I'M still hungry. Dessert maybe?

Lindy has taken over her fathers garage since he died. She needs a bodyguard and mechanic and contacts rent-a-dragon. She meets Magnus and he seems familiar. He had changed a tire for her on a deserted highway. There has been vandalism at her garage. Magnus goes over and starts work. Evil is afoot. I LOVE this series. Titanium is next. Yay!!!!

I should
have started the series with the Gem Dragons so I would know the other characters in this series. The Series is a quick read. The plot is predictable, real plot lacking, woman (mate) too damsel in distress, and sex scenes are okay in an adult book, but it seems 75% of the story is about that. Hate to leave a a series book unread, so going forth and reading Titanium.

I really enjoyed Lindys character so bossy and the way she stands up to Magnus is great. I love watching the old world dragons trying to get use to this time. Of course there was humor and a perky Pekingese but my heart broke for Magnus as he struggled through his dreams of the past. Can't wait for book 3!!

This was such a great book. I loved the storyline. Magnus was such a great character. He was tough and tender. Just what Lindy needed. She was strong tough independent woman with so much insecurity that she wouldn't allow herself to love. The Iron Dragon was just the right man to help her. Must Read!!

I wanted to like this book. Dragon Shapeshifter. Mechanic heroine and hero. Good Stuff!

But the writing style just doesn't work for me despite being full of fun fated mated cat nip. The prose is too jumpy and there is too much telling rather than letting characters develop.

Sigh.
