My Many Colored Days

This book is an excellent introduction into feelings and emotions having a color associated with them. It's a great conversation starter on the different kinds of emotions that humans feel. Excellent read for the very young.

This is a great book with wonderful illustrations. It shows kids a lot of different emotions and that it's okay to feel different things at different times. My son loves looking at the pictures and all the colors.

This book provides an excellent way to begin talking with children about emotions, but is not limited to children. I have given it to colleagues (psychologists) to use as a coffee table/waiting room book. It has a message for everyone about the vivid but temporary experience of strong emotion.

This quickly became my favorite Dr. Suess when it first came out. I couldn't find it available everywhere. I then discovered it on the store and it's one of my favorite children's gifts. It's not all fluffy, it speaks to every mood and I love the non traditional art work in the book.

The book itself is wonderful. However, I thought this version would be a board book. This version has a paper overlay on the cover with cutouts in it and the back of this overlay was torn in three places. I'm going to have to stick with the smaller board book. That way, at least my little niece can hold it without ripping the pages.
