I ALWAYS GET NERVOUS WHEN A WRITER STARTS A SERIAL. IT FEELS AS IF THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF FRESH IDEAS AND CREATIVE THOUGHT AND SO PLAN TO SPIN THE SAME STUFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN. NOT SURPRISINGLY, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE HAS DONE. SHE HAS CHANGED THE PLOT AND ADDED SOME LIFE CHANGES TO THE CHARACTERS BUT BASICALLY IT'S THE SAME OLD STUFF. "HARVEST" IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BOOK BY HER AND SHE HAS STEADILY GONE DOWN HILL FROM THERE.

Returning from a medical conference in Paris, Dr. Maura Iles Boston medical examiner, finds her body double murdered... practically at her doorstep. Detective Jane Rizzoli is on the case and eight months pregnant. But it is Maura who is determined to solve this case. This one has it all. Good writing, fast paced plot and strong characters. Kept me interested from page one to the stunning conclusion.

I am only two chapters into The Sinner, but already I can't help but wonder if it is worth finishing. If the rest of the story is as poorly researched as her opening chapters there is little point in continuing. If a writer is going to place a story in a convent, then research religious life. Cloistered Nuns live in a Convent, Monastery or an Abbey - NEVER IN A RECTORY! Rectors (pastors of a parish) live in rectories. Contemplative life is not an escape from the world, it is not a safe haven, it is a difficult and rigorous life embraced for the love of God, not the love of self. Nuns in such an order do not choose when they get up and when they engage in various occupations, they live according to a horarium, a schedule which does not allow for personal preference.
I am not recommending this book, although I have thoroughly enjoyed her previous books.

Once again, Tess Gerritsen has written a real page turner. I became so engrossed in the story that I finished the novel in two sittings ( I did require food and sleep ). I have read everything that she has published in this genre and would not hesitate to recommend her novels to anyone who wishes to be entertained, captivated and thrilled. I anxiously look forward to her next novel.

In this chilling installment of the Jane Rizzoli - Maura Isles series, Medical Examiner Isles discovers she was given up for adoption along with a heretofore unknown identical twin sister. Their birth mother is insane and in jail for a double homicide. In her quest for all available facts, she must face the possibility of being a monster's spawn.

Excellent book, suspenseful, a definite page turner. This is the fourth book in the Jane Rizzoli series that I have read by Tess Gerritsen. As expected, the story is filled with intrigue, the characters come to life, and I have not yet been able to guess the ending. Highly recommend "Body Double." Received in perfect condition, and quick and easy transaction.

I love the Rizzoli and Isles books. My only problem is that when I bought this book the dotes that show the chapters were not there and the cover was not what I was expecting. It was just the name of the book and publisher. No picture like shown. I was very disappointed. Other wise a good book.

ps if anyone knows if this is just a glitch or something pls let me know.

Excellent book, suspenseful, a definite page turner. This is the third book that I have read by Tess Gerritsen. As usual, the story is filled with intrigue, does a great job at describing police procedures, and kept me guessing to the end. Highly recommend "The Sinner." Received in perfect condition, and quick and easy transaction.

Tess Gerritsen is damn scary.
But I love her writing. She spins a tale that keeps me up late reading one more chapter.
This novel is no exception.
I can't compare Tess to any other author. But she is right beside my Sandford's, Lescroart, and Steve Berry keepers.
Differnent style, but very very good

I've been enjoying the Rizzoli & Isles show on TNT. That's why I chose to read the books. Rizzoli is totally different in the book, but I like the girl on TNT. This book was very good and kept me page turning, ending was such a surprise. Will read the next one for sure.
