From beginning to end, this book is magnificent. Reading about Kayla's struggle with enjoying a holiday after loss hit home for me as this is the first Xmas since my daughter passed away. I had lots of tears in my ears but in the end they were happy ones. Thanks for a great story.

I did not think that the story was developed that well. The sex was too explicit but predictable. Nothing new with it. I thought the characters had a stupid relationship that was pretty much physical- overall I thought the story was boring.

This Christmas story was pure perfection. It was sweet, funny and sexy. Just the right short read to cheer you up! I loved meeting again Lachlan and Kayla from "The Play" - one of my favorite books this year. Grab a cup of your favorite hot drink and your e-reader and enjoy the magic of Karina Halle's words ...

Kayla has left her job, friends and family behind in San Francisco to live with her boyfriend Lachlan. She is still struggling to adjust to her new life in Edinburgh. She misses her brothers and still grieves for her beloved mother who passed away recently. Lachlan is in therapy because of his alcoholism and is doing quite well. The demons from his past are still haunting him but he intends to stay strong for himself, his supportive family and loving girlfriend. Their relationship is now stronger than ever after they went through some tough things previously. Both feel the need to make each other happy and their first Scottish Christmas together unforgettable. Kayla is supposed to celebrate with Lachlan's family - his charming parents, his nice brother and his grumpy grandfather McGregor - which makes her very nervous. Is it going to be a success or a fiasco? You have to read this fantastic 5 stars novella to find it out!

I was once again reminded why I love this amazing couple so much. Lachlan and Kayla accept and complement each other perfectly. They are a match made in heaven. The strong Beauty and her good-hearted Beast. There is so much raw passion going on between these two they will make your kindle burst into flames.

WOW I spent my Christmas with Lachlan McGregor.....what an amazing, beautiful novella Karina Halle has given us.....best present ever!!!! Winter Wishes was a perfect short story continuing the relationship of Lachlan and Kayla that we read about in The Play. This story picks up right after the ending but before the epilogue. We were rewarded with another glimpse of the oh so sexy Lachlan and the beautiful Kayla.

This funny, hot, sexy and wonderful story is primarily about Lachlan and Kayla's first Christmas together and the events leading up to it. You really don't want to miss this as it continues to show the struggles and heartache that both Lachlan and Kayla have to face but they do so together, with each other and for each other. Their relationship is based on so much love that you feel their beauty and connection through each page. I love how they complement each other, support one another, and most of all love one another throughout the story. I don't want to give too much away but you have to read this.....you must read this to complete this beautiful story of this beautiful couple.

Karina has once again managed to write such an amazing story that leaves you longing for more.....of course.....who wouldn't want more of hot, sexy Lachlan McGregor. So do yourself a favor and pick up this five star read and believe me you won't be disappointed....you will be happy, elated, thrilled and excited to read more adventures or our beloved couple. This was the perfect Christmas gift for us all. Thanks Karina for giving us all this wonderful present....it was priceless and very much appreciated!!!!

I love that Karina Halle brought us more of Lachlan and Kayla in this wonderful holiday sequel. I love epilogues but always wonder what happened to get them from point A to point B. In Winter Wishes, Karina lets us in on the secret and also opens the door to Brigs story. Then again, it could very well be Amara’s story. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Kayla comes into her own in Winter Wishes. Yes, she is still devastated with her mother’s death and getting used to Edinburgh but she is doing everything in her power to help Lachlan face his demons and accept the love that he so openly gives to her. And, as for Lachlan, he’s still the teddy bear that I fell in love with in The Play. But, even more so since he is now working through his fears and being there for Kayla when she has her moments. They each come up with the most creative ways of making the other forget about the funk that they are in. Definitely creative and extremely hot.

I adored the descriptions of Edinburgh, its history and historical landmarks. I loved that Ruff Love, Lionel and Emily were again highlighted. God, I loved those dogs and how much Lachlan devoted himself to loving them and giving them homes. Karina also gave us more of an insight to Brigs and the rest of Lachlan’s family, how much they truly supported him and helped him through the rough times. But, most of all, my heart swelled when he declared Kayla as his Clan and truly realized that what he had now definitely out-weighed his past.

Again, another wonderfully told and written story by Karina Halle. She has a way with words that not only tell a story but brings you right into the hearts of her characters. She has a way of taking a terrible situation and making it better with lots of love, a touch of humor and lots of hot sex.

Yay! I love Kayla and Lachlan! This was great short story that takes place after the end of The Play but before the epilogue of that same book so if you haven't read The Play you should read that first to enjoy Winder Wishes more. Kayla is struggling with the death of her mom, finding a job in Scotland, and the move to Scotland, leaving her friends and family in the States. Lachlan has come to terms with being an alcoholic but still struggles. I love that Halle's books can be read on multiple levels: You can either read them for their steamy romance (and this one is very hot) or think deeper with the issues that the characters deal with or a combination of the two. This book is powerful and emotional - dealing with love, loss, addiction, family, friendship, loyalty and so much more in such a short story. Alos if you've read The Lie you get to meet Winter when Brigs found him.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS NOVELLA!!!
I love this time of year and Karina put all those amazing Christmas thingies into this book.
Everything from hot chocolate to ice-skating, walking across a Christmas fair, a family in front of the tree, presents, lots of food, snow, sadness, happiness.
LOTS of sexiness!!!! Just perfect.

Lachlan and Kayla's story was already amazing in THE PLAY, but this holiday novella made it even more special!

Now I can't wait to read Brig's story. I already know that I will probably cry my little heart out before he finds his HEA!!!!

A nice little Christmas short about Lachlan and Kayla.
Lachlan sitill battling with his addiction and Kayla still grieving her mother, far away from the rest of her family. It takes place after Kayla moves to be with Lachlan. It's so nice to see them so happy and together. They really had a rough time getting there...
Goin on a holiday with Brigs and the rest of the McGregor family, it's tense and it's also the first time Kayla is seeing Lachlans parents since she's been back and Lachlans grandpa is kind of racist and grouchy.... Alls well that ends well though, I was very happy to see how it turned out and I can't wait to see what happens with Brigs and Winter <3

Such a sweet novella. Great to see a glimpse into Kayla and Lachlan's first Christmas together. I'm really glad I reread The Play right before this. I'd read it a while ago but started the entire series over so I could catch up before Winter Wishes and The Lie.

As the story goes on, author Karina Halle brings us back regarding two hot charachters, Lachlan and Kayla. And even though each book in this series are not stand alones, they still can be read individually for its enjoyment....As the story continues, Kayla Moore has never been more confused then ever before. First off this cover is gorgeous! Secondly, such an amazing holiday novella! Lachlan McGregor may just be my favorite Karina Halle character to date, so I was super excited that she decided to write just a little more about this couple and she definitely doesn't disappoint. Loved it so much!

More Lachlan and Kayla :-) and even in a short Christmas read! loved it and they're one of my favourite couples in this series. loved the story and the relationship these two have. True love! Truly enjoyed it

Loved getting more Lachlan and Kayla!! This is a sweet, sexy, Christmas story. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of their new life together, from the end of the last chapter to the epilogue. It also sets up Brigs' story, which I am very excited to read.
