While not my favorite Samantha Young novel, she always leaves you satisfied. The characters in the book are great and you get sucked right back into to the world she's created through this series. I'm just worried it's the last one.

Brilliant way to finish the series. It was an emotional roller coaster that guided to perfect ending. My heart ached for Logan and her struggle and grace, who so much remainders me of Hanna and her story. Just brilliant

I loved the hero, Logan, but I disliked the heroine. She seemed like a bitch, to be honest. In spite of the fact that her friends called her warm and caring, and she was very sweet with Logan's daughter, I just didn't see it; I didn't think she was very kind. And yes, no matter how horrible your parents have been to you, when they are dying, you need to make an appearance. Jane Eyre said good-bye to her horrible aunt! You need to show you are the better, or braver, person and make your peace, and forgive. If she cannot forgive her parents, I don't hold out much hope that she will forgive Logan if/when he messes up (and he will). After really loving the other heroines of The Dublin Street Series, I was really disappointed in this one.

Samantha Young is by far my favorite author and I am so sad that the series is over. :( Thank you Samantha for giving us another great story and giving us a peek into what the other characters are up to. I love the story lines and creative banter in this series. I need to go back and read the series again!

Logan and Grace are perfect together and their story rounds out the series. The blending of all the previous characters into Logan and Grace's love story was expert, and I wouldn't expect anything less from Samantha Young. I'm looking forward to her new books. I've read everything else she has published.

Samantha completely captivates you with her strong writing, characters, and plot. It was a great book and fit in perfectly with the rest of the series. I liked that it wasn't the conventional story line, it definitely had a great twist!!! I look forward to more of this great series!!

Samantha Young has done an an amazing job with this series. It doesn't have to be read in order but it makes for a more compelling read if you do. It is a series that you can read again and again, I actually have.
I am looking forward to her future works.

In this conclusion to the On Dublin Street series, we have Grace and Logan's story. Emotions are all over ranging from: jealousy, anger, abandonment, rejection, lust, compassion, fear, hope, revenge, and forgiveness. Grace and Logan bond quickly over Maia, whom I could not get enough of. She kept Logan and Grace on their toes when all she was wanting was for them to man-up and stop fighting what they both were wanting. Grace and Logan were both raised by disinterested and crude parents which surfaced some insecurities but those blossomed into a fierce approach to standing up for themselves and knowing what they wouldn't settle for with their family. Grace is an editor and Logan (new, sexy, promiscuous neighbor guy) is struggling with where he's been the last two years and how this effects his present circumstances. We see everyone from previous novels in this series and it's bittersweet knowing this is the end to such a fantastic series. Samantha has brought this entire family into my home and I feel like part of the gang. Now where's my Scotsman?! Samantha presents her characters with a struggle in which they fight through with their own tools and the support of friends which lets me escape reality to a place I long to see. Give this a try and find your next book crush!

I was hesitant to read this book because the previous two books in the series fell flat and didn't live up to the others in the series. But this book reminded me why I love most of Samantha Young's other books and why she is one of my favorite authors. The build up to the relationship between Logan and Grace was done well and I loved their banter in the beginning when they didn't like each other much. The drama and obstacles they faced were believable and handled well not rushed or forced. I loved seeing glimpses of the other couples from previous books but it was a little hard to keep all the kids straight. If you enjoyed the other books in the series I definitely recommend this one and if like me you didn't like the last two I really recommend this because it is just as good as the first in the series, On Dublin Street.

MOONLIGHT ON NIGHTINGALE WAY is the sixth and final full length installment in Samantha Young’s adult, contemporary On Dublin Street romance series focusing on a tight knit group of family and friends from Scotland. This is bartender Logan MacLeod and freelance editor Grace Farquhar’s storyline. We were first introduced to Logan in Echoes of Scotland Street-Logan is Shannon MacLeod’s older brother.
The storyline follows the building relationship between Logan and Grace. Grace’s new neighbor is a man-whore. The nightly racket and noises of $ex play next door have become tiresome and aggravating, and Grace has had enough. When she finally confronts her new neighbor the animosity and distaste between our couple is obvious and painful to watch. Logan thinks Grace is a shrew, and Grace believes there is nothing redeeming about a man whose parade of women is less than respectable or quiet. When Logan’s life takes a dramatic turn, Grace is there to pick up the pieces, and the pieces begin to fall, over and over again.
The relationship between our couple is fraught with issues of trust, anger, and preconceived notions about one another. Grace works from home and the noise levels in Logan’s apartment have caused too much strain in their tepid friendship. As the storyline builds, so too does the friendship and love between our leading couple but a prior family history of betrayal, heartbreak and pain force Grace to protect her heart by pushing away the man with whom she is falling in love. Logan’s life has changed dramatically and Grace has found herself on the roller coaster ride of her life.
MOONLIGHT ON NIGHTINGALE WAY is an ensemble storyline. All of the series previous storyline couples play a secondary and supporting role. We are reunited with the cast and characters, as well as get a glimpse into their present and potential futures as the epilogue looks at each couple through the eyes of the individual series heroines. MOONLIGHT ON NIGHTINGALE WAY looks at Grace’s dysfunctional family dynamics and how the early years have affected Grace’s ability to trust and love. We also get a glimpse into the future for Grace and Logan, and how the past meets the present affecting the future for everyone involved.
MOONLIGHT ON NIGHTINGALE WAY is an emotional story of heartbreak and betrayal; falling in love and letting go. Grace’s past had destroyed her faith in relationships and love, and in this the tone was set for the fall out from a family history of neglect and emotional abuse.
Samantha Young’s ON DUBLIN STREET romance series is first and foremost a series about friendship and family. Family is not always the blood in your veins, but the people who love, support and stand beside you along the way. There are moments of joy and sorrow, laughter and love, moving forward and starting over but in the end, everyone will get their happily ever after –although the road is not always easy or kind. Samantha Young’s imagination gave us a series to love; characters with passion; happily ever afters that will captivate your mind. The intimacy between the couples is intense; their love addicting; and their futures hopeful and inspiring to read.

Unsurprisingly, Moonlight on Nightingale Way is a decadent, deliciously addictive addition to the On Dublin Street series. I felt immediately drawn to Logan when he was briefly introduced in Echoes of Scotland Street and I couldn't wait for his story. However, his story was nothing like I could have anticipated. It was so much more. It was completely unexpected, the dynamic Samantha Young created here, so refreshingly new and rich. I devoured this book, unable to put it down, not only because I knew it was the final book in this series but because it was just so damn consuming.
Logan McLeod is both the antithesis and the embodiment of everything I love in a leading man. He's unapologetic about his sexual exploits with anything that moves. He's arrogant and cocky, abrasive and dark. It's clear he has a tragic past, demons that haunt him. He's a magnetic charmer with repulsive habits. He's captivating and sexy but his uncertainty, his lack of self worth has him doing and saying all the wrong things. Essentially, he's everything I love to find in a hero. I love a man that is hard to love, hard to forgive, hard to accept in his flaws, and yet I can't help but do precisely that... overlook it all because he's just so irresistible.
Grace Farquhar is refined and proper at first glance. She initially comes across as impenetrable, stoic, staunch in her solitude. It doesn't take long to see there's so much more to her than the facade she wears, the protective armor she surrounds herself in because of where she came from. She and Logan are the most unlikely pair, two people have never seemed so wrong for each other. Bickering neighbors, drastically diverse personalities, yet they see in each other...something. They're exactly what the other needs in precisely the time in their lives when they need it most. Both have ghosts from their pasts surface completely unexpectedly in this book and it's unlikely either of them could handle what life has thrown at them had the other not been there in that moment.
The sexual tension steams from these pages. There's nothing more fantastically addictive for me, as a reader, than two people whose chemistry is so off the charts hot but they're so reluctant to accept it. The push and pull, the raw emotion, the wholly palpable attraction between Logan and Grace is magnetic. I wanted to take a bite out of this story, that's how ravenous I was for what Samantha Young dished up. So much is happening in this book, so many layers, so much drama and angst and sensuality and constantly evolving relationships between a multitude of characters... and yet Young weaves it all together seamlessly. Effortlessly.
How bittersweet it is to see this series end! Braden and Joss, Cam and Joanna, Ellie and Adam, Olivia and Nate, Hannah and Marco, Cole and Shannon and now Logan and Grace and all of their ever-growing family have become fixtures in our lives, household names in our book community. These stories and these characters are some of the most memorable, most beloved that I've ever read. My heart is sad but full that Samantha Young has sent these characters off in such a way that we can be happy to see them off, knowing where they are and where they're going despite how sad it is to see it end. I know I'm not alone in saying that this series is profoundly special to romance readers everywhere and Samantha Young definitely did us proud with this finale.

Moonlight on Nightingale Way (On Dublin Street #6)by Samantha Young
Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he’s ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction…
Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right—or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor.
Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she’s been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they’ve worked to build…
My Review:
I'm not sure where to start... I'm not sure what I read. I thought that the story had some potential that the author didn't get around to using which was odd because it was especially for the final installment of the series. I felt that both Logan and Grace had potential as characters but I didn't feel they had potential together especially not as a couple, which made things feel out of place when for some reason despite the animosity between them they wound up together. I could understand it if say the book were an Erotica and it was a hate sex based story but its not. I didn't feel the true love factor and I didn't feel the fireworks chemistry I was waiting for. Young could have used their animosity for a couple more books and developed a better plot and development out of it for them that might have made everything come together but in this case it felt too brash for me to enjoy it as much as I would have liked.

I couldn't get over these happenings:
- Grace heard through the wall her future boyfriend having intense sex with multiple other women
- he dumped her as soon as they finished having sex and then was mad she kicked him out of her life and didn't trust him
- he had sex with another woman only a couple days before he had sex with her
- he only had sex with her cause he was jealous she was going on dates with other men, all while he was having sex with other women
Sure, he changes into something super sweet and devoted, and it's not like no one can ever change. But she gave in WAY too easily. Like, in the same conversation she was telling him she'll give another chance they were getting down and dirty. How about going slow? Why is it in all these books they always have sex right away? Am I missing something? Is this how it is in real life? I'm not against sex, but sex means something to me, and it doesn't seem like it means anything to these characters. I guess I'll stick to regency romance like Elizabeth Hoyt for my erotica.

Moonlight on Nightingale Way is the last full length novel in the On Dublin Street series and as much as I've loved these books I can't help thinking that's probably for the best because the stories have started to feel a little forced now. I was actually looking forward to reading Logan's book, we met him in Echoes of Scotland Street (he's Shannon's brother so we've already seen exactly what he was prepared to sacrifice to protect his sister!) and I really wanted to see him get his own happy ending after everything he's been through.
Logan is trying to put his life back together after being released from prison, he has a steady job and he's making up for lost time when it comes to women working his way through a string of one night stands but he refuses to let anyone close to him. Grace escaped from her emotionally manipulative family and has built a new life for herself in Edinburgh. She's happy with her career but is still looking for Mr Right. Grace and Logan are neighbours whose relationship doesn't get off to the best start when he's constantly disturbing her with his very loud bedroom antics but in spite of their instant dislike there is also some pretty intense chemistry between them. They're thrown together when Logan makes a shocking discovery and Grace happens to be there to witness it, she goes out of her way to help Logan deal with his new situation and as they spend more time together they start to realise that assumptions they'd previously made about each other might not be quite so accurate.
I have to confess I was a little disappointed in the romance between these two, they're both great characters so it had the potential to be great but there was so much drama between them and we spent too long watching Logan sleeping around with other women. I don't mind that he had a past but I'm not interested in listening in on the hero when he's in bed with other women and I didn't like the way he threw it in Grace's face, it wasn't that he was cheating on her as they weren't in a relationship or even friends at the time but he was quite disrespectful to her as a neighbour and it made me wonder why she'd ever be interested in him as a potential partner. There were a few times when he pushed her away for ridiculous reasons too and I just got bored of them circling around each other when it was so obvious they both wanted to be together.
I think my main issue with the later books in this series is how Samantha Young is so determined to mention every single previous couple that she creates events just to be able to shoehorn them in. I actually love it when contemporary romance series allow us to revisit previous couples but when a series is this long you don't need to bring in ALL of the previous characters or it just becomes an overwhelming list of characters, I can't keep track of who everyone is and I honestly don't care that they all have 300 children and this is their names and ages. It makes sense in this case to have Shannon and Cole on the scene because she's Logan's sister, you could even bring in Jo and Cam because they're Cole's family but when you go beyond that you just bog down your story with name dropping and short change the couple you're supposed to be focused on. Even the epilogue gives us a final wrap up for all previous couples and yes I understand that this was supposed to be the last book in the series (although we know there have since been a couple of novellas!) but I think it would have been better to post that separately, perhaps as deleted scenes on the author's website.
Overall I think Moonlight on Nightingale Way could have been a lot stronger than it was, I think its probably a good thing that the author decided to end things here because I doubt I'd have continued beyond this point anyway.

“Sometimes it’s hard to believe you’re real.”
A mixture of funny, sweet, tender, and sexy – Moonlight on Nightingale Way by Samantha Young was full of everything I love in a romance. Ms. Young is in a league of her own with her writing. This was nothing short of a superb romance! It breaks my heart that this is the last in the series, but that’s what made this reading experience something to cherish. In every book that I’ve read by Ms. Young, I instantly connect with the characters. There is something about them, the complexity of them pulls me in so deep, and I can’t help but fall in love with them, with their background, with the story. So many emotions are pulled out at once, and instantly I think of them as family. And what a great and rewarding feeling that is for a die-hard romance fan. It’s hard to describe, but it’s genuine and overwhelming, and there is nothing like it.
“I can’t walk away from you even if I wanted to. And I don’t want to. You are reality and sweet oblivion wrapped up in one annoyingly argumentative, always-bloody-right, classy, gorgeous-as-**** package.”
Moonlight on Nightingale Way was fun, witty, dramatic, heartbreaking, and so ***n passionate. It was a ride that I didn’t want to end. Page after page, I fell a little bit deeper, laughed a bit harder, and swooned like crazy. Just like an author when she starts to write the story that is in her head, I was invested – invested in the story, in these fabulous characters, and invested in the direction that Ms. Young was taking me on. Grace and Logan’s story was so full of heart, intensity, emotion, and passion. I was captivated, enthralled even, from their first hilariously awkward meeting to the happily ever after that was sure to follow. The bumps and bruises along the way, made this story what it was, simply brilliant!
“The things I’m going to do to you, babe. I’m going to make you mine, every single piece of you.”
In this story we get to witness a hard man become vulnerable when his past comes to haunt him, and bow down to the woman who will eventually end all his pain and suffering. There is just one caveat…Grace and Logan have more than just their two hearts caught up in the whirlwind.
“Pretend all you want. We both know I blew your ****ing mind.”
With every page turned you felt their passion, their love, their absolute need for each other. It’s haunting and it’s hypnotic. This scorching hot, touching, and incredibly romantic read will whisk you away to another place. This final installment of this incredible romantic series will leave you enamored, hooked, and charmed. I loved ever single thing about this story, and I will miss these characters deeply. Thank you Samantha Young for a sublime series!

Grace’s new neighbor, Logan, is basically a manwhore. His sexual antics and loud parties have deprived her of sleep, and generally ticked her off. Logan’s reactions to her complaints push her buttons even more so, accusing Grace of being an uppity snob. Needless to say they are not on the best of terms when they first meet. But Grace gets to know Logan a little and her opinion of him begins to soften, just a tad.
When faced with something that changes his life forever, Logan is shocked and thrown for a loop, but he quickly abandons his party lifestyle to accommodate. Grace steps in to help, because she can’t help but admire the way Logan immediately accepts the change in his life with ferocity, and because the situation strikes at her heart for personal reasons.
Samantha Young captures feelings so spot on that every time I crack open the pages of one of her stories I automatically put myself in the character’s shoes. So of course I rooted for Grace and I felt her every hurt, all her longing and attraction, as well. She was such a sweet, giving person, and her help to Logan cemented their closeness. In that closeness, Grace starts to fall for Logan even though she fears he’ll just break her heart in the end. Grace doubts that she’s even Logan’s type when he paraded blond, curvy, scantily clad women in and out of his apartment for months, and Grace is pretty much the opposite. Also, low self-esteem stemming from an absolutely horrid family further fuels her concerns.
Logan spent time in jail, almost two years, for severely beating the man who nearly raped and killed his sister. So he didn’t feel worthy to take on the change in his life, but Grace helped him work through those feelings and be the man she knew he was. Of course, I wanted to smack Logan a couple of times, but he proved time and time again what a good guy he was and I couldn’t help but fall for him.
Grace and Logan dance around their attraction, building up combustible sexual tension, so when they finally give in it’s so very HOT:
“The things I’m going to do to you, babe. I’m going to make you mine, every single piece of you.”
I appreciated there was no last minute romantic drama to taint their relationship when they finally committed. It was Grace and Logan against the world, aka crappy family.
I’m sad to say good-bye to this series, I’ve loved each and every book in the series, but Samantha Young gives us a good send off with short, but heartwarming epilogues for each couple. You know these friends who’ve become like family, through their emotional bonds and unwavering support will live happily ever after, and that’s what every romance junkie, like me, craves!

I absolutely adore this narrator and her range of accents. especially for this group of characters. she never makes it feel forced or awkward, it's so natural. and I think that's why I liked this story so much. it made it feel like the whole gang was sitting there with me just telling the story like it was no big deal.
I loved the story of Grace and Logan, and let's not forget Maya. I like how all of them were a tad broken in some way, and when they come together they form this strong family unit that each of them need in some way. they can each lean on each other for whatever they need..... well, until they cant. some lines just can't be crossed. once you cross that line, can you go back? we shall see.
grace and Logan work their way back. once they get their bond back, I was worried they'd overstep and lose it again. or that the spiteful and conniving little Layla would do something , or Grace would find Logan in a compromising position with the American... I don't know. I just waited for that other shoe to drop. something bad to ruin the good thing they had going. and when that shoe showed up at her door, I really expected her to give in, to toe the line. but then Grace surprised me. she took a stand. she stood up. and it was nice. nice to see it finally happen. she had this strength about her she didn't have before. and when trouble knocked at Logan's door, he had the strength to do the right thing. because he knew what was at risk
I loved the way Samantha wrote this story. I also love how she always incorporates past characters into the new storyline. so not only do we get new love,we get updates on our past loves too

Samantha Young’s On Dublin Street series concludes with Logan and Grace’s story in Moonlight on Nightingale Way. While I didn’t love every book, each love story is unique and had its heartwarming moments.
This book is kind of a next door neighbor hate-to-love story. At first, posh Grace is very upset over her new neighbor sexual escapades and the volume of their bedroom antics, not to mention the “gifts” left on her doorstep. She isn’t afraid to confront him either, which I totally enjoyed. Logan, on the other hand, is quite amused at this proper English girl giving him a piece of his mind.
Logan is an ex-con who just got out of prison. Thanks to Braden Carmichael, he has a nice place to live and a good job. One thing he wasn’t planning on showing up on his doorstep was a girl named Maia claiming to be his daughter and who fled her drug-addicted mom’s home in hope of a better life. Coming from a family whose parents didn’t love her, Grace understands Maia’s situation and offers to help.
What I liked about this book was the idea that the word “family” has a fluid meaning. It doesn’t always mean blood relatives. Sometimes the people you love the most and who love you back in the best way are not your blood family. Grace had a to make a family for herself with her friends from University, all of whom protected her with a ferocity that many envy. I really liked that Grace was strong enough to do that and I loved that message in this book.
The love story started out really well. I liked the budding friendship and the sort of co-parenting thing that was going on between Logan and Grace. They and Maia became like a family unit even though there really wasn’t any romance yet, just attraction. But after Grace and Logan share a heated moment in the kitchen, he says it was a mistake, which hurt Grace deeply. It crushed her, but then once he realized just how badly it scarred her, he wants her back. And claims he loves her. The pacing of their romantic relationship seemed out of place and a bit awkward.
I can’t wait to read One King’s Way (the final novella in the series) coming out in November!

courtagonist
Logan James MacLeod is starting his new life after being released from prison. He has a good job thanks to Branden and his nights are busy with different ladies. This makes his next door neighbor really mad.
Grace Farquhar is an editor that works from home. Since Logan moved next door to her, his sex life is making it impossible for her to sleep. She has tried to be nice but it doesn’t seem to work. Talking to him only makes it worse.
A unique antagonism begins between these two.
Despite their differences, when a situation presents that makes Logan vulnerable, Grace steps to the plate to help him out.
With this new truce, a friendship blossoms but soon the attraction for each other is hard to dismiss.

I’m so sad Moonlight in Nightingale Way is the end of this series. Samantha Young created some of the most amazing characters. Back when I read On Dublin Street, I fell in love with it. As soon as I finished it I hit the recommend to everyone link on Goodreads (never done it before or after Dublin). Now, years later, Logan and Grace were the perfect way to end it. Both characters were likable. Their banter was great. And Holy smokes! their chemistry hit it out of the park. I caught myself smiling many times.
I love that we get glimpses of the rest of the lovable characters we’ve met through the rest of the series. Even better, at the end of the book we get a tiny epilogue for each of our heroines.
I love reading Samantha’s books. It doesn’t matter at what time I start her books, I’m unable to stop myself until I’m done with them. Whatever she releases the next, sign me up for it.

Moonlight on Nightingale Way is the sixth and final installment in Samantha Young's adult contemporary romance series titled On Dublin Street. There are some books in this series that made it to my absolute favorites list and there are others that made me wonder why they were even in this series. Moonlight on Nightingale Way was kind of in-between, falling between three and four stars in my opinion. I expected a lot for the final book, and even though I don't think the series ended with memorable fireworks, I did like this last installment overall. The relationship and family dynamics were complex enough to keep my interest, the romance was sexy, and I enjoyed catching up with past characters. All in all, a good read that I would recommend to followers of the series. That recommendation comes with a warning though. While reading, put aside the fact that this is the final book. You may enjoy it more if you view it as just another installment in a great series instead of the finale. Just a suggestion though.
My favorite quote:
"What are you worried about? What the world thinks of you, what we think of you, or what you think of you? Because at the end of the day babe, the only opinions that matter are your own and those of the people you care about."

There aren't enough words to describe how great this book was. Samantha Young is always able to write heroines you want to be friends with and heroes you want to snatch up marry.
I'm so sad to see this series come to an end but it has been a wonderful journey and this was a perfect way to wrap up their stories.

What a brilliant ending to a wonderful series! I could not put these books down!!!! Thank you Ms. Young for writing classy, yet hot and steamy, romances that readers can feel and cling to. You showed how difficult the journey of love can be and how fulfilling it all is in the end. I enjoyed every minute of the ride. Well done!

I really enjoyed Moonlight on Nightingale Way, I loved the whole Series and this installment with Grace and Logan was awesome. I absolutely love this author, and this book didn't disappoint. My only complaint is that the series is now over and I will no longer be able to revisit the characters that Samantha Young turns into your friends. Fantastic story with a great finish to every character's chapter in the On Dublin Street series.

While I was curious about Logan's story after reading Shannon/Cole, I didn't know what to think about him. I really wish there'd been an alternating POV because I would've LOVED to get inside Logan's head! Grace was awesome & strong. I appreciated how she stood up to her toxic family and did what was best for her. Maia was a sweetheart and the connection that she and Grace shared really added another dimension to the plot. I thought it was great revisiting each couple at the end, too! I'm sad to see this series end because the books were so great, but I'm looking forward to Samantha Young's next release!

Loved this book. Love this author. So sorry to see this series end. But seriously, Samantha Young needs to give classes on how to properly end a series. Such an awesome job.
Loved Logan and Grace. And Maia. Loved seeing the entire gang there.
But still so, so sad to see the end.
