Jami Amerine is delightful and her journey to find truth is real and honest. This isn't a how-to type of book but Jami's personal story, and it is so easy to relate to. This book needed to be written and I highly recommend it, wherever you are on your Jesus journey.

Meeting the "Real Jesus" has been a journey for me, because I grew up in a cult and my perspective of Him has been very, very messed up. I loved reading Jami's story about finding "The Real Jesus" because I can relate to it so, so well. While her journey was different from mine, I felt impacted and changed by reading it and it took me deeper to finding more about Jesus than I had before. I suggest this book to anyone who has struggled at all with knowing who Jesus really is. I was given a copy of this in exchange for my honest review.

Yes, I received an advanced copy of this book. However, I am purchasing copies for family and friends that I know will get as much out of this book as I have. I have now read my copy 3 times; each time I find a new point or a new verse, or a new understanding.

Jami is real. Her journey is real and funny and tear-jerking and a laugh-til-you-cry/cry-til-you-laugh adventure with someone who you swear is a very real friend.

It's a blessing and a comfort to know we are not alone in our struggles. I am thankful that Jami was shown the path to share her story. It will bless you!

What a great book with raw honesty. I laughed so hard I cried and had to stop to get a kleenex. Your humor is fantastic, but when you got to the TRUTH, it was awesome. The title alone is what got my attention at the book store, but then to discover its meaning was priceless. Keep writing, I want more.

I needed this book! The story of Stolen Jesus had me in stitches- and wishing I had a 'stolen' Jesus of my own across from my prayer chair. Oh, the conversations we would have! I highly recommend this book-break off the "stolen Jesuses" in your life to make room for the Real Jesus!

I was drawn to Jami's blog -Sacred Ground, Sticky Floors- because she is a bio/foster/adoptive mom, as am I.
However, her heart, humor, and honesty, are what keep me coming back for more of her words of wit and wisdom.
I hope Stolen Jesus helps more folks find Him, in His gracious goodness, and reminds others to stop stealing Him with their words and actions.

What an interesting perspective on the Jesus you thought you knew. Follow the authors long and continuing journey to find who her real Jesus is. It's not the prepackaged versions presented to her, but a real comforter and protector.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher. Oh. my.goodness. I couldn't put this down. I have followed Jami's blog and her words always resonate in such a brilliantly simple way. When I started reading, I thought, of course. The REAL Jesus. Oh I have had many fake ones in my life, some the same and some different than she describes (church camp Jesus...uggh.) The REAL Jesus = REAL peace. I am sure that I am not alone in needing this message.

Just finished this book this morning. Completely laughed out loud at some of Jami's stories. As someone that knew Jami during the "high school Jesus" times, it was interesting to hear about her journey. So relatable. Be ready for a laugh and to maybe even see yourself in the ways that separate us from God's abundant love and grace. Thank you , Jami , for being so transparent.

Jami's memoir shares her journey to the real Jesus. The Jesus who had been misrepresented throughout her childhood and into young adulthood, until one night when she met the real Jesus. Beautiful, heartwarming, hilarious, maybe a little too familiar.

Riveting, real, refreshing and transparent! I found myself on almost page of this book. Jami took me back through all the Jesuses in my life, and then, brought me back to the simplicity of knowing the REAL Jesus. So liberating...a must read for everyone!

I loved the book!! I laughed, cried and was reminded of years of worshiping a Jesus I didn't know. Stolen Jesus is an honest look at the Americanized Jesus and the harm the concept does to innocent people.
