Leather & Lace: Trident Security Book 1

I love this series it has hot alpha seals, intrigue, BDSM, murder and romance. love the chemistry between Devon and Kristen. When I done reading it, it left me wanting more and counting down the days till the next book came out.

This was a very good book. I would recommend anyone to read it. It was thrilling,funny,romantic and Devon sounds so sexy as does the whole team! I would love to see baby girl in a relationship with all those uncle's protecting her. Lol!

Kristen moved to Tampa after her divorce from her two-timing husband. She was a pretty good self-published author, even though her husband thought she wasted her time. Kristen was picked up by a publisher and somehow spit out an amazing BDSM novel even though she knew nothing about that lifestyle. That book had her readers screaming for more and Kristen was having a hard time producing another one. She had to find some way to research the BDSM lifestyle and she needed male inspiration. One afternoon she headed down to Donnovan's Bar & Grill for a chance of scenery and boy did she get it. Little did she know, she walked into six retired Navy Seals that could give her all the inspiration she needed. After about an hour her computer messes up and she freaks out because she had a pretty good draft going. The waitress thinks her Uncle Brody can fix it, Uncle Brody being one of the hotties she was drooling over. A few days later something possessed her to head back to the Cafe and asks out one of the waitress's, Jennifer, other Uncles. Devon has been moody since he set his eyes on Kristen and thought that Brody beat him to a date, so he's utterly in shock when she asks him out. Kristen said that Brody did ask her out, but she wasn't attracted to him and had politely declined. Seal Team Four has their hands in a few business ventures, one being a BDSM club which Kristen has no idea until she runs into him while she's having a daytime tour. She was lucky to get the tour of this exclusive club and it will serve her well on her research. Devon is normally a love them and leave them kind of guy. But there is something about Kristen that he can't shake and when he sees her in their club, he knows he if he's going to shake her it's going to be damn near impossible. Devon and the boys find out that someone is hunting Seals, now the Security part of their business is in high gear. Now really isn't the time to have feelings for anyone, but he seems to be getting closer and closer to Kristen. Can he really handle all the things coming to him from all angles?

I was given this for an honest review.
This is a Private Security/ BDSM romance based novel. With a great story and a bit of mystery, the hot alpha males are all Ex-Seals and served together as part of a team. As they all retired from the Team they joined the security firm started by brothers Ian and Devon, the brothers also partnered up with their cousin to start up their own BDSM private and exclusive club. Writer Kristin meets Devon quite by chance while trying to get inspiration for her new book, she then meets him a second time while visiting the club for research purposes. This is a fairly fast paced story, there is BDSM content though nothing to hard core. There is an assassin for hire after the team though at first they are unaware of this, tension mounts as they try to find out why. The book is well written and flows through each chapter, each part or component of the story blending together. It is interesting and keeps your attention throughout, the romance builds slowly at first even though the sparks are there from the outset, but that's a good thing. A very enjoyable read and one that has me hooked on this group of guys, good job I have the next 2 already to start reading.

Leather & Lace is the first book in the Trident Security series. I am going to make the assumption that each book in the series will be about one of the "Sexy Six Pack" as the heroine in the book describes these ex Navy Seals.
Kristen Anders is a recently divorced author who has just moved from NJ to Tampa, FL. While at the one local pub working on her latest novel she spies the sexy six pack and has found her inspiration for the subject in her next BDSM novel. After securing an interview and tour at the elite private sex club, The Covenant, she is shocked to learn that her sexy six pack owns and runs this club.
Devon “Devil Dog” Sawyer can’t take his eyes off this sexy brunette while she is busy typing away on her laptop. Devon doesn’t do relationships and prefers his girls for one weekend and then moves on. Discovering Kristen is an author and scanning one of her books, seeing the “vanilla” sex in one of her books, he figures she isn’t into BDSM and is totally shocked to find her in his club while researching for her next book. He takes her research to a new level and what should have been one weekend together ends up being more than either expected. When an assassin has his sights on the six pack will they be able to survive, not only with their lives but each other?
When I first started this book, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. It was clear that this is the author’s first book and it took a little while to get into the story. She uses multiple points of view and will switch between them within the chapters. You never know who's POV you are reading until you start the next section of the chapter. I enjoyed having the multiple POV's as it really helped to get in each mind of that character. There were times I was wishing to know more from the other character so this did help. Once Kristen was introduced to the club while it was open, the story finally picked up as it felt as if the author finally found her writing flow. I loved the aspect of the suspense that was added to the story. We had an actual story going along with all the hot steamy sex. This wasn't just a steamy sex novel, there's suspense and an intriguing storyline. I was disappointed in the ending as it felt rushed and everything got wrapped up too quick. some scenes were also rushed and left me wondering and confused. This is one of the reason I am not able to give this the 5 star rating that it could be. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and hoping that with growth in the author's craft and a few reviews under her belt these small issues will be addressed.

The story line keeps you interested the moment the sexy six pack turns up. The chemistry between the characters is sizzling, and keeps you turning pages to find out what is going to happen next with Kristen and Devon. Can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
Kristen is suffering a writer's block. She's finished moving and realizes that her time is up to give her agent the plot for her next book. Her last book was different from her others and was a BDSM romance, she can't decide which character to use from her last book, but after a shower fantasy, she decides on Master Xavier.
Deciding that a change of scene may help she decides to have a look at Donovan's Pub, after her divorce she's ready to start dating again.
Settling in at a booth at the pub Kristen is even more surprised when she sets eyes on a man who looks exactly like she pictured Master Xavier.
After a slight computer error at the pub Kristen meets one of the men she had been staring at who Jennifer calls her Uncle Brodie and Kristen sees as sin on two legs turns out to be a computer expert. Then turns up Devil Dog who is Devon, Kristen is so involved with all the hotness around her she doesn't hear a question Brodie asks her. After some confusion Kristen and Devon set up to go on a date the following night.
Things start to get interesting when Kristen visits a BDSM club for research for her next book and both her and Devon are equally surprised to see each other there. The chemistry sizzles between them and Kristen gets invited to the club as Devon's guest and Kristen gets some firsthand experience for her book.

Having recently stumbled across Samantha A Cole's work in the beautifully written Don't Fight It, I knew I had to go back and see what else she had to offer and I am SO glad I have. I have found an author who has hooked me in and won't let go of me and for that I am very much a happy reader!

Dev (Devil Dog) is a strong alpha male who along with his 'family', the aptly named 'Sexy Six Pack', not only protects those in need of protection with Trident Security but, also as a Dom in The Covenant, an exclusive BDSM club that caters to those whom privacy is a must. This sexy SEAL sweeps in and unexpectedly falls for Kristen, a sweet and innocent BDSM author who is looking for more background for her future sexier books and unexpectedly falls for the gruff and demanding man.

I have to say, I fell head over heels for these two and can only hope the rest of the 'Sexy Six Pack' books are as well written and have me falling in love with them to! I can't wait to keep reading!

This book is an excellent read. Multilayered story line. Alpha Male hotness. Interesting, smart heroine. Great cast of characters, hot steamy sex. Practically a primer in BDSM. All you could want in a romance book. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

This was my third time reading this book. It really is such a wonderful read. Samantha A, Cole has managed to start a wonderful series with this book. Created around a group of characters, former members of Navy Seal Team 4, who now run a security company. They also happen to be Dominants in the BDSM lifestyle which Ms, Cole explains so thoroughly and in excellent detail. Leather and Lace revolves around one of the owners of Trident Security, Devon Sawyer and Kristen Anders, a romance novelist who is researching BDSM for her stories. Their combination of heat and the banter going around as we are introduced to this cast of characters will keep you interested from the first page until the last. I'm going back through the books as the later ones have introduced some ties to earlier books that I had forgotten and I wanted to refresh my memory. I'm pretty sure I could read this series a dozen times over the years and never tire of them. There are so many layers, so much depth to the writing. A five star read for sure - but only because the software won't let me give more.

We meet author Kristen Anders who is starting her life afresh after getting divorced from her husband after he cheated on her.

Kristen works hard as a well known author. Kristen has researching and looking for character types that fit into the BDSM world. Kristen manages to blag her way onto a exclusive BDSM club that is known for being exclusively private. The club is called 'The Covenant'. Its here that she meets a man that has caught her eye on a few occasions in the bar little realising how much he will change her life forever.

We meet Devon 'Devil Dog' Sawyer who's been intrigued by the mysterious brunette that has been staring at him every now and again in the same bar they drink in. Devon decides to do the one thing that he's not done in over 20 years and ask the mysterious brunette out on a date. This may sound a little odd but for the past 24 years Devon has been a dom at The Covenant and rather have girlfriends only had a string of submissive's under his belt.

The chemistry between Devon and Kristen is off the charts as Devon shows Kristen the true meaning of BDSM and what it means to be in a dom and sub relationship.

Kristen Anders is beginning her life over after moving to Tampa after divorcing her cheating husband. She is an author who began by publishing "vanilla" romances but her latest book dived into the world if BDSM without ever experiencing it herself. Her self-esteem is at a low point after her self-esteem took a huge hit by the words her ex would constantly use to describe her.

Devon "Devil Dog" Sawyer is one of the owners of Trident Security and also The Covenant, an exclusive BDSM club along with his brother Ian and cousin Mitch. When he spots Kristen in his cousin's pub he is instantly taken by her and wants to get to know her but believes she is already seeing one of his friends.

When Devon and Kristen realize they are attracted to each other they begin to get to know each other but how will Kristen react to Devon's sexual needs and differences? Will she be willing to go along with it knowing that Devon is not into long term relationships?

When it is clear that several members of Trident Security are in danger from a mission they went on as Navy Seals will Kristen be a distraction for Devon? Will they discover who is after them in time?

I enjoyed this book and found it really explained everything well in regards to the club and how everything worked. If you have never read a book involving BDSM then it is a good introduction. I always find it somewhat amusing in these books how fast the sub is willing to go along with everything the DOM says just to please him and in this book it was evident that there wasn't much that Kristen wasn't willing to do to make Devon happy. I have no honest idea how realistic that is.

I did like how Devon really wanted to make sure Kristen was taken care of and she was fun to read about and I loved her sass.

I really enjoyed getting to know all the members of the team and I can't wait to read more about each one in the coming books. I also really hope that Jenn is able to have a book on her and that she finds some happiness and peace after everything she went through.

I stumbled across a review for Leather and Lace and thought oh, this sounds good. But it was so much more. The book is well written, the characters are well developed and the storyline is sexy, romantic and suspenseful; with a splash of humor.

The story is about Kristen, a newly divorced romance author who has moved to Florida to start her life over. Her past and ex have left her to believe she is a cold/frigid woman, yet she still has desires. Especially when she see the sexy Devon at a local pub, and the instant attraction is mutual. Devan is an ex Navy Seal who owns Trident Security Company and an Exclusive BDSM Club with his brother and a few of his Navy Seal Brothers. When Devon spots Kristen at his club getting a tour of the place as research for her new book, sparks fly in more ways than one. I was glued to the pages, especially when trouble starts to threaten all that Devon hold dear.

The story is well thought out and will keep you on your toes until the very end. If you are like me and enjoy Hot Sexy romance books with suspense and humor in the mix, you will not only love this book, but will be hurrying out to get book 2 in the Trident Security series. 2 Thumbs up for an Awesome to start to what this reader feels with be a Terrific series.

This book was just amazing, from the way the story was written to the main characters and even the secondary characters, it was easy to fall in love with each and every one of them.

Kristen is a famous author starting on her next book in her not so vanilla romance book, and needing a change in scenery to write she heads to a local pub where she lays eyes on the sexy six pack, love that she name them that all I think about are some amazing abs, but she only has eyes for mr tall dark and handsome and he eyes for her. Devon is his name and he is more than meets the eyes, he is a part owner of a BDSM club and once he realizes that his friend does not have the hots for her, Devon takes the plunge and asks her on a date, even though he has never done just a date.

Kristen needing to do research for her book, she sets up a tour of the closet BDSM club, just to find out the Devon owns it, little does she know that he will eventually own her.

I loved this story of Kristen and Devon, but will they both survive when there is someone after some of the sexy six pack?

Would love to read the next book in this series

I really enjoyed the way Samantha Cole writes and weaves a hot love story with a lot of suspense. Since she is a new author for me I was pleasantly surprised of how well the story was done, which made it difficult to put the book down to do the adult things in life that must get done, like.....work. I will say reading BDSM intrigues me but yet has always made me a little apprehensive, not so with the way Ms. Cole writes it! Loved all the details of security of safety for the sub, among other details.

This book is the story of Kristen and Devon, their instant attraction, her discovery of him being a Dom and her learning her true sexual self at his hands... can I just say it was HOT. All while Devin and his Team are in danger, hence the above mentioned suspense. I highly recommend this book and looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I loved this book. I liked the combination of the BDSM life style and the suspense and mystery of the story. Anxious to read the next installment about the Trident Security men.

She's looking for more information on the lifestyle and decides to take a tour of a private BDSM night club called The Covenant.

Devon is an ex Navy SEAL and a Dom in the BDSM lifestyle with no intentions of having a long term relationship. He first meets Kristen when she walks into his friends bar, where his "niece" also works. His niece is a fan of the writer which makes it easy for him to meet her, except it makes for an awkward meeting... He and Kristen are both intrigued with one another but neither knows how to go about it. She's recently divorced and shy while he is a Dom and is sure he would be too much for her to handle.

Now back to the club... While on the tour she runs into one of the owners who is non other than, Devon... Master Devon..and from there it's on!

I enjoyed the story, I think this author has great potential and I will read the next in the series. I did have some issues though.

The point of view was third and first, switching between Kristen and Devon. Sometimes I would get confused as to who I was reading because it would switch from him to her, back to back.
The other was that this book really didn't grab me. It was a good concept and while I thought the book was good, it lacked emotion. When you read a book it should make you feel the emotions it's trying to portray.

Like I said before, I think this author has great potential, the book is worth a read and I will read the next in this series, but it needs to have a bit of maintenance. (for lack of a better word) 3.5 stars

You all know BDSM is not number one on my list due to the repetitiveness of the genre and storylines, so when Im telling you to go grab this up; you know it has to be better than good. The series she has created introduces us to the men of Trident Security along with some other characters. Clear your head and I introduce you to the guys and ladies. It’s a long list and I found myself writing it down to keep up BUT as I was writing I had a huge smile on my face because if this book turned out to be great I knew I had several more heading my way with each new name that appeared.

The men of Trident, some who are brothers, are all former Navy seals who have formed their own security agency. Ian and Devon are also co-owners of a private, elite and highly secure BDSM club called The Covenant which they owned with their cousin Mitch. Ian and Devon Sawyer are brothers by blood, Brody Evans, Marco DeAngelis, and Jake Donovan all frequent Donovan’s. Jake’s brother Mike was the owner of the Irish pup. They came to the pub almost daily now checking on the girl they all considered their niece, Jenn. Jenn’s father Jeff Mullins suffered through basic with Ian and remained fast friends and after Jeff’s wife Lisa gave birth to the beautiful girl Jenn; Ian became a godfather. Jenn was now under all the men’s care as the team considered each other family after the tragic loss of both of Jenn’s parents six months prior Ben Michaelson also has just retired two years after the boys and now had joining the ranks of Trident as well.

Kristen is under the gun to write the second book but is unsure and struggling to continue. She isn’t sure who the next book should be centered around. In order to clear her head she decides to get a change of scenery and goes to a local pub called Donovan's. Low and behold she has walked right into sin and heaven --- at the end of the bar is a collection of six men. One of them is the image of the Dom that she has been considering making the lead in book two; Master Xavier.

Devon Sawyer aka "Devil dog" is sitting with his buddies when he spots the beautiful brunette in the booth eyeing him. Devon cant be bothered with a relationship. The club is perfect for him. He is respected and any relationships he has are at the club with a set time limit and just sex. However when he thinks his friend Brody is hitting in her and asking her out he gets jealous but it is what it is. He waited too long and lost his chance. Luckily events that dance through the pages show us that is NOT the case.

This is a great book and a fantastic start to what could be another must have series. The book doesn’t only center around the club but it also includes dealings with Trident Security. The plot is fantastic on both accounts. Its almost like you are getting two stories in one. All I can tell you is there is more to the story of Jenn’s parents tragic accident. Because of that we are also introduced to a thrilling man named Carter. Uh yes … that’s all Im saying. Although I know he is NOT the subject of book two Im certain Ms. Cole wont leave us hanging and eventually he will get his own story. HINT HINT Ms. Cole if you are reading this! You all know by now I don’t do spoilers. What I can say is go get this book. Its FREE if you are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber. "Leathers and Lace ", gets five sizzling stars , I loved the story's plot line and two main characters and I can not wait t see who Ms. Cole picks for her next book in the series!

You are introduced to Kristen Anders , recently relocated to Tampa after divorcing her slime ball cheating husband; Kristen is a popular vanilla romance writer, that the douche of an ex thought was a hobby and not a real career, but she really hit the big time when even more so when she wrote her first bdsm based romance.
Now Kristen is under the gun to write the second book but unsure which Character from the first to make the lead male character, she decides to get a changeof scenery and goes to a local pub called Donovan's , which just became her favorite place since the end of the bar is sporting a super sexy six pack of men and one of them is the image of the Dom that she has been considering making the lead in book two.

Devon Sawyer aka "Devil dog" is sitting with his buddies when he spots the beautiful brunette in the booth eyeing him, and he finds himself attracted to her but he is not in to dating, he can not be bothered with doing all the relationship stuff, any relationships he has are initiated at the club with a set time limit and just sex. However when he thinks his freind Boomer is hitting in her and asking her out he gets a little jealous.
Kristen since coming into Donavans has been able to get a lot of writing done, especially with the inspiration sitting at the end of the bar, that is until her computer looses the two chapters she just wrote , luckily for her one f the sexy six turns out to be a computer geek and retrieves her file for her, unfortunately it is not the sexy dark haired blue eyed god she can not keep her eyes off.

The next time she gets to Donavan's she runs into Devon, and determined to finally go after something she wants , she takes the chance and asks him out on a date, which Devon , thinking his buddy Boomer is seeing her; he starts to decline, until Kristen clears up that misconception , they set a dinner date for the next day.

Kristen , is excited she has her date with Devon later and she finally is gettting the opportunity thanks to one of her Beta readers to actually tour " the Covenant" as part of her book research and while touring with the owner Master Mitch she is surprised ,actually stunned to run into Devon there and more so stunned to discover he is a Dom also.

These, two have an incredible chemistry together and when Kristen agrees to put herself in the hands of Master Devon and doing so opens herself to some of the best sex of her life, but she has to agree to one weekend only. But , will one weekend be enough?

Luckily for Krosten it turns out that one weekend is not enough for Devon , and she is more than willing to continue exploring the sub life. As part owner of Trident security and The Covenant duty calls with Trident when fellow x seals start being murdered and the government thinks that Devon and the rest of the former seal team # 4 are in danger.
Devon finds himself second guessing the extends relationship with Kristen , afraid that she may wind up in the assasians cross hairs by association.

Can Devon allow himself to love? Will an assasian cost him that chance? Will he loose Any of his buddies?

Ms. Cole has written a wonderful story, with sizzling sex scenes, sexy doms and a gripping sub plot that keeps ou guessing till near the end.
I would recommend this book if you like sexy dominant navy seals, Erotic bdsm scenes and a bit if mystery and suspense. I loved this book and could not put it down!

Holy cow batman, that was intense and just a little bit hot.... oh who am I kidding this was hot enough to melt your panties from your body, and might I add, I am so ok with Devon melting mine anytime.

So first I have to say this was gifted in exchange for an honest review. And What a pleasant surprise it was. I don't hand out 5 stars very often but this one has me so close...

This is book 1 in the Trident Security series and is Devon and Kristen's story. Devon Sawyer is an ex navy seal, part owner of Trident Security, Co owner of "The Covenant ", a very private BDSM club and popular DOM.

Kristen has recently divorced her cheating husband and has re located to Tampa, Close to her cousin Will to further the writing of her novels. she has a number of vanilla romances but with the release of her BDSM novel that was a huge hit has her not only reader's but for herself finding her inner goddess and realizing she has been missing out on some serious sexual knowledge.

While working on her new book at an Irish pub, she meets Jen, an avid reader but it is a group of men or one man in particular that catches her eye, one Devon Sawyer.

With a 1st date on the cards Devon invites Kristen out to dinner then a visit to The Covenant to show Kristen all about BDSM and it there she finds her real inner woman with some serious sexual chemistry and it Devon that wants to give it all to her. 1 night date turns into a weekend of some serious hot sex scenes that would make anyone blush (kind of glad I read this at bedtime, it may have been a little embarrassing out in public ) Kristen's heart wasn't the only one who's heart spike quite a few times.

Along with the heat and steam of this book it was the mystery / who dunnit that I enjoyed. The sexy six pack- that Kristen affectionately called the Trident Security team, are all ex-navy seals it is their lives put into the spotlight when it becomes clear that deaths that everyone thought were accidents were carefully planned and it seems that they all at risk. As the team rally together to find the killer we are introduced to some other figures that play another role in the Devon /Kristen dom sub relationship.

After so many years Kristen is finally loving being with a man that can show her what she really deserves, but when the weekend is over can they walk away from each other or is Kristen the one woman Devon can't live without.? it is here we meet the softer, warmer side of Devon instead of the Dominant that I really enjoyed.

Although this is Kristen and Devon's story meeting all the other team members has opened this up to what I hope is a great series.

If you like hot steamy sex, a dominant that will make you blush a little menage and gorgeous military men this is story for you. I loved it and really look forward to the next instalment.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! Leather & Lace is the first book in the Trident Security series which follows the lives of a group of ex Navy SEALS who now work for a private security firm. Of course they are all absolutely gorgeous and most of them are also Doms. Leather & Lace is beautifully written, steamy and has a nice amount of suspense. The main characters are great and I also love the supporting cast, who I assume will be the lead characters for future books. I will definitely be looking out for other books from Samantha Cole as she has real potential to become one of my favourite authors.

Divorcee Kristen is a successful romance author, whose latest books involve BDSM. When she tours a local BDSM club for research purposes, the last person she expects to see is the guy she met at a Irish pub and agreed to go on a date with. She's shocked to discover that Devon "Devil Dog" is not only a Dom but he's a co-owner of the club. They agree to spend a weekend together, with lots of kinky sex, but will it lead to more? And with a killer on the loose will they even survive?

Devon is oh so sexy, he's a dream Dom. He's a real alpha male and is endearingly protective of Kristen and others he cares about. Kristen is also a great character, she's a strong woman who is enjoying her new life after divorcing her idiot ex-husband. The chemistry between them is sizzling and the sex scenes are so, so hot. The BDSM scenes are intense and well written, with a strong emphasis on safe, sane and consensual. The suspense part of the storyline is great too, with danger lurking and a killer to catch.

This is a great book that I definitely recommend. Samantha Cole is obviously a talented author and I look forward to reading more books in this series. Five stars!

Although this is my first Samantha Cole book, it won't be my last! When I started this book, I had only read a quick peek and knew I had to read it . Immediately. Samantha Cole has an ability to place you directly into the head of Kristen, a writer struggling to find her next book. She has a deadline, an idea and words that won't flow. After all, how does a woman who isn't good at sex write about kinky, toe curling orgasms? Her readers don't want to read about finding her (ex)husband in bed with another woman, her lack of orgasms, inability to satisfy anyone. Inspiration hits at the local diner, in a pair of blue eyes and a strong jaw. Devon is sitting in the diner, a typical afternoon of people watching and keeping an eye on the daughter of a buddy. Watching the girl in the booth stare at him and working was enough to make him crazy trying to figure her out. Working as a Navy Seal led Devon discovered his true desires and need for control. While he was quite considerate, he was still very much a Dom and only for a few scenes. Devon was not one to get attached.

I loved that Kristen and Devon aren't typical or predictable. They don't quickly fall into bed after meeting, she doesn't swoon and immediatly ask to be dominated. They have bumps, misunderstandings and mistakes. The chemistry between Kristen and Devon is so freaking hot! There are surprises, danger, twists and plenty of reasons to change your panties. Especially the rest of the team in Trident (Devon's security company). I can't wait to read the rest of the series and watch as these strong, sexy men fall.

So an inexperienced Vanilla Girl meets a man, finds out he is a Dom, doesn't have a problem with how obnoxious he is to find her in HIS club, and on the first date agrees to call him Sir (eyeroll/ugh), agrees to be seriously spanked, agrees to have sex with him -- all in the name of research for the book she is writing?? Of course she falls in love with him -- seriously?? He set up his friend to have a menage with this girl he is getting to know & supposedly has strong feelings for?? And she readily agrees?! Give me a break!! And for goodness sakes -- get an editor! No interest in further books by this author.

This was a sexy erotic romance, with the added danger of an assassin thrown in.

I liked both Kristen and Devon in this story. Kristen wasn’t well versed when it came to sex and BDSM, but she was open to learning more, and happy to let Devon be her teacher.

“I wasn’t you to wear the sexiest dress or skirt that you own and no underwear. And I mean no panties or bra, Pet. You will go to dinner like that. If you disobey me on this, I’ll take tou into the women’s restroom and remove them myself. Understood?”

The sex in this was really steamy, and Devon and Kristen really worked well together. There was an added bit of danger with the assassin on the loose, and lots of fun as Devon showed Kristen what BDSM was all about.

“And you’re thirteen minutes late, so I think that calls for thirteen smacks. It’s a decent amount for your first spanking.”

The ending to this was good, but I would be interested to find out if the next book in the series follows the same characters?

I am extremely bias where it comes to BDSM books. This book was well written and well represented from the world of kink and fantasy.

I find it very hard to read books like this, because I have a super critical mindset where it comes to the entire 'life style' aspect. So, removing all of that from influencing my review, I am left with the bare bones of a romance which was written very well. I enjoyed the marginal plot twists and the general build up of the relationships, not only between the main pair, but also the rest of the cast and crew.

I enjoyed the easy going writing style of Samantha, and the internal dialogues of the main lady had me snorting out loud at times.

It is clear that the author relied some on her own knowledge in her writing, which makes it accurate on most levels - which is one of my most favorite aspects of this book: There is a element of realism mixed into the fiction - while still touching on the human emotions. This is a story of loyalty, love and influences beyond one's control at times.

All in all, I would recommend this to those who enjoy a bit more [chuckles] than heavy petting in their reading materials, but still look for the 'Da'ahw' moments. It is most certainly a good set-up for future readings.

What starts out as something very casual quickly becomes more. At the same time - there is someone gunning for members of former SEAL team. A very real threat that may harm anyone he cares about.

This book is like a delicious dessert recipe that has just the right combination of ingredients. It’s got a “sexy six pack” of men that happen to be well built ex navy seals. Devon comes from a lot of money; but doesn’t flaunt it, act superior because of it, or use it to manipulate Kristen. He does own a sex club and is a well skilled Dominant. I love how he humorously refers to Kristen’s ex-husband by an assortment of derogatory names like “goat ****er.” But Devon’s best quality is the way in which he enables Kristen to forget her displeasing sexual history and guides her to discover pleasure. The sex scenes are hot! There is also an edge to Devon that makes him come across as thoughtful rather than just a domineering ass. Kristen is a relatable character – she’s a fan of romance novels. She says, “Too bad life wasn’t a steamy romance novel with a hot and hunky hero knocking on her door.” Who hasn’t thought that at one time or another? Finally, the crime/suspense story line didn’t detract from the romantic story line. It did leave me wanting to get to know Carter better. I’m hoping to get to know him better as the series progresses.

This was an interesting story with elements of mystery and suspense. The story was for the most part a romance involving the world of BDSM. The author wove in educational information about that world that provided further depth for the story. This provided knowledge that many readers previously may have lacked while enhancing the storyline.

There were problems with the story. Much of the dialogue seemed rather stilted and interrupted the story flow. There were several instances where the switch in POV was not at first clear and rather jarred the reader in determining which POV it was. Almost every page had errors in editing that should have been corrected before publishing.

The author is talented and I am planning on reading more of this series. A word of advise to writers: every few chapters go back and read the dialogue you previously wrote out loud. This should help in finding and correcting the bits that sounded stilted or a little unnatural.

Kristen is an author who has stepped into the waters of “romance with an edge.” The only problem, she knows nothing more than vanilla sex and barely knows that! So when a fan provides her with an opportunity to visit an honest to goodness sex club, she is ecstatic. But when her professional life collides with her personal one, can Kristen accept her needs and the man who can fulfill them? In Leather and Lace by Samantha Cole we meet Kristen and Devon. Kristen is not quite sure about her sexuality but that is about to change. Devon sparks her libido but he is hiding a secret. Can he limit his sex to strictly vanilla? Does he even need to? I loved meeting both Kristen and Devon. They appeared so different but in actuality were more alike than either expected. Devon was a strong alpha male. Kristen was a strong female hiding a sexually submissive nature. I loved the relationship that grew between Devon and Kirsten. Kirsten was a bit unsure as to what to expect as she allowed Devon into not only her body but her heart. Devon was determined to protect the woman blossoming right before his eyes.
Ms. Cole gave us a story that was well written and full of wonderful characters. Devon and Kirsten were fully developed and felt real. The attraction and chemistry was believable. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. They added an additional layer to the story. I thoroughly enjoyed the first in Samantha Cole’s Trident Security series and look forward to seeing where she will take us next.

This is my first time reading anything by Samantha Cole but it will not be my last. I loved this story about Kristen and Devon. Two people that found love when they weren’t looking for it. She meets Devon in a bar and they are instantly attracted to each other. Devon works for a security agency and part owner of a sex club. He is also a Dom and notices Kristen is a sub. Kristen is a romance author and I loved that twist. With her needing research for her next book about bdsm, Kristen explores the sex club and is surprised to find Devon there. These two give into their sexual attraction and it is smoking hot but could there ever be more between them? I loved this story and how easily I got caught up in it. This was Kristen and Devon’s story but you also meet the men that Devon works with and I hope to learn more about each one of them. This has the beginnings of an amazing series and I look forward to reading more.

I just finished Leather & Lace and I really liked it. Kristen is a romance author and now her divorce is finalized she is ready to get back into the groove. What I dont think she was expecting was Devon. Ex Seal/Dom
but she take him how she can. He hasnt been on a date in forever but he is willing to be able to spend time with Kristen and see if they have chemistry in between the sheets instead of just out. It works out for Kristen since she is trying to get more information on her book, second in her Dom series. Best of both worlds, I say. What I didnt expect was someone trying to kill these hot sexy ex seals. I did get quite confused at times with all the characters but a budding new romance between Kristen and Devon with a sexy BDSM twist made this one hot sexy book. I cant wait to see whats next!
