Just a fun quick read with believable characters that you will get instantly hooked on. I laughed and cried and subjected my partner to a verbal readings cause I couldn't help but share the fun comedic moments in the story. It's was that good that you wanted to share it with others. I highly recommend thus book.

This author makes you feel so many things every time, whether it's laughing or crying (even in public). Yes people might stare but it's totally worth it. This book was my introduction to this author and I haven't been able to stop reading him since.

There is literally not one thing wrong with this story. Perfection. The most hysterical, heart warming, crazy cast of characters that will just make you fall more in love with every page. Just left me feeling fantastic! I want more of Vince & Paul & their entourage. I want to be personal friends with TJ Klune for his sense of humor alone. Loved it!
A Destiny of Dragons (Tales From Verania Book 2) :: An Mpreg Romance (Silver Oak Medical Center Book 1) :: and the Kid Chronicles Book 2) - Who We Are (Bear :: Imago (Imago, Book One) :: The Consumption of Magic (Tales From Verania Book 3)

There was honestly nothing I didn't like about this book. The writing was flawless and flowed seamlessly. It wasn't insta-love but, you fell in love anyways with the main and secondary characters. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard reading a book, I literally had tears in my eyes from laughing. I only wish that a second book follows this one up sort of a where are they now? And maybe Sandy's story as well. I wish I could give this more stars this is truly one of those books that you just feel good in the end. Just perfect!

such a pleasant and enjoyable read. Considering that I was not as big of a fan of Bear, Otter, and the Kid, I was a little apprehensive. I have enjoyed this book immensely that I bought it in Audio as well.

Paul Auster is the main character and narrator of this book. And what a piece of work he is!!
A giant drama queen turned 30, with little to no self esteem, sees himself as overweight, boring and plain. He has a boring job, a best friend Sandy that works as Drag queen Helena once in a while, a dog with two legs and two wheels (Named Wheels), a hilarious Nana and wonderful pair of parents.
One night at the club where Sandy/Helena works, Paul spots a gorgeous young guy, which seems to like him too. When he is introduced to his new co-worker Vince, turns out to be that same guy.
When Vince later saves Pauls life, he is choking at spinach, the drama really starts.
Because Vince thinks he and Paul should date, and Paul is sure that Vince is mistaken, because how could someone like Vince ever see anything in Paul.

The book made me howl with laughter, through all Pauls and Vince’s dates and day to day troubles.
Vince being gorgeous with the biggest heart but not the sharpest mind, and Paul being, well Paul, with all his issues and a loving family that get their nose in everything, because they love him and want him to be happy, preferably with Vince….This book is such a fun, wonderful and heart-warming read……

I have read hundreds of MM romance novels; some good, some bad. But I have never wanted to write a review of one until now. If you are looking for an over the top, laugh until you cry, love at first sight romance...this would be it. Combining the average Joe, Paul, with the slightly less intelligent, but drop dead gorgeous Vince worked brilliantly. They both gave something to the relationship as it built over 7 very long days. The supporting characters helped make this book that much more fun. I laughed until I cried at Paul's interaction with Sandy/Helena Handbasket. Paul's parents made me choke on my drink at their complete support of their son. Darren...well lets just say I will be upset if there isn't a book 2 about him :-D.

I don't want to ruin the plot of this book. I can only describe it as this...if it was a M/F romance, this would be a blockbuster romance story for Hollywood. It really does have everything...TJ Klune is on my auto buy after Bear, Otter, and the Kid (Another amazing story) but if you want a feel good romance buy this one and laugh until you cry.

This writer's style and stories are probably not for everyone but are quite entertaining. Most of the genre are soft porn (mostly) with a small slice of story on the side. Not so with Klune. Although there is a lot of reference to sex, (fantasy episodes, imaginings, etc) there really isn't that much actual sex between the characters. His characters are well developed and varied and mostly totally improbable but that is where the fun comes in. I wish I could find some people like the characters he writes, I could certainly use a laugh. He does have tension and there are intense situations. Sometimes it gets a little over the top on the believability scale but for most part its just rousing good fun.

I highly recommend this author to everyone who could use a little lighthearted entertainment and a HEA ending.

I love this book. It's really, really, REALLY funny. The main character Paul is a hoot. Sarcastic. Self deprecating in a humorous way. His best friend, regardless of when he is Sandy or Helena, is hilarious.

This is a keeper.

A touching hilarious, witty and sardonic story. The main characters are well developed and are believable throughout the story. A true mixture of heart wrenching life trauma blended with insightful humor. The author nailed this book. Great Job!!

I loved this book!!! Perfect combination of happy, sad, and love. It made me laugh so hard! Love in a week is a little hard to believe, but that's the only flaw. Great writing and storyline. Just wish it would have continued on a little further, thought the ending was left hanging a bit. Recommend big time!!!! Great author!!!

I have mixed feelings about this book. I have really loved TJ's other books, but this one was not my favorite. The snarky sarcasm got a bit old. It was funny and cute at first, but just got old. So did Paul's constant whining, clumsiness, his family, the parrot, and Sandy... It was just overdone. Too snarky, too funny, too cute, too much.

I didn't love it, but I certainly didn't hate it. Won't stop me from reading TJ's other books but this one would have been better if it was toned down.

After I got through reading the (monologue) I was like OK. enough of this non-sense already let's get the story going. I knew right then that I was not going to take this book seriously,It was like reading "Eating out" the movie series where you'll never find these people in real life. The main character can be real annoying, can this guy be serious for one second without turning everything into a joke. Even in the hospital. But once in awhile it's nice to laugh at silly stuff. I wish there was a serious version of this book cause I really like the story. But it's still a good read.

This book was fantastic! I love books that have that witty and snarky but oh so funny dialogue and this one definitely had that in spades! Top that with parts, at least four maybe five, that had me putting the book down because I was laughing so hard I couldn't see through the tears in my eyes! And then could make me tear up in sadness too and it was just one of the better books I've read. Thank you so much for this book TJ Klune! Can't wait to see what Darren and Sandy get up too!! lol

This book had me constantly chuckling to myself. The narrator does ramble alot, which was the only real letdown. Sometimes I felt I was reading a script for a comedy romance movie, with hilarious dialogue and the odd bit of slapstick (the narrator is very clumsy). Take away the comedy and you still have a very lovely story between Paul and Vince.

I would happily recommend this book for a good laugh and to warm your heart.
