I absolutely loved Jack and Lawson's story. Lawson is a butterfly expert looking for a species of butterfly that has never been seen before. Jack is a local Wildlife officer. They meet by chance at the airport and sparks fly between the two immediately. I loved everything about the Jack and Lawson they are truly an opposite attracts couple. Jack is strong, outgoing, and big all over. Lawson is quirky, kinda nerdy, very smart, and kinda awkward. The chemistry between them was off the charts hot. I loved the dates they would have and how Jack would try to top the next one...extremely cute and sweet!

I highly recommend this book. NR is a favorite author of mine and I have read everything she has released. You will not be disappointed and I can't wait for the next book in this series to be here. Well done!!! Another 5 star read from the extremely talented NR Walker.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Jack accidentally meets Lawson while on a plane trip back home. He's a parks and wildlife officer, and Lawson is a butterfly specialist. When Lawson is unable to get a rental car Jack offers him a ride. At first Lawson is not open to being friendly to Jack at all. He is very focused on his assignment and he doesn't want to deal with anything else while he's there. But Jack is not one to give up. He promises Lawson a great date and he delivers. When he finally brings Lawson to his house and he passes the Rosemary test, he knows that he's a goner. These characters are both so different and so sweet. I loved how stubborn and hard to get Lawson plays, and how fun and carefree Jack is. They compliment each other perfectly. Lawson is there in search of a butterfly that an old professor is positive he saw once. But after looking for days, Lawson isn't so sure. This is a very sweet story full of great dates and lots of butterfly hunting, with lots of love thrown in for good measure. Great read.

So freaking adorable!!! Jack and Lawson are both so stinking cute I can't even handle it. I loved this quick, sweet, utterly charming little story! So happy there's more to come- and I cannot wait to get to the Red Dirt Heart crossover...oh Charlie!

Yes, I've fallen down the N.R. Walker rabbit hole, and I don't plan on climbing out until I finish all of her books. It'll take me the rest of the year I'm sure, but I am on a mission! And I'm seriously contemplating taking a sabbatical and moving to Australia for awhile, so I can visit all these places she's brought to life.

The book is romantic and has a smidgen of suspense as well. It's got a nerdy whiz of a lepidopterist who was, at times, fit to be bow tied, and a hunky Parks and Wildlife officer who adored his dog and discovered he had a thing for bow ties. it's got a cast of supporting characters that were more memorable than I expected them to be and a setting in Scottsdale, Tasmania that had me curious as to what it would look like in real life. The author colored me surprised when I saw that there was a sequel to this book on Goodreads because it honestly felt absolutely impeccable as a standalone, and that's what I thought it was going in. But I'm not foolish enough to say "no" to a second book, especially if it's still about Jack and Lawson. I highly recommend Imago, easily giving it five-plus stars.

Such a delight. Lawson Gale is a lepidopterist (a fabulous new word for me!), someone who studies butterflies. He is looking for a new species of butterfly, one that possibly does not even exist but he's determined to at least try. A chance encounter at an airport car hire desk leads him to accept a ride from a wildlife officer Jack Brighton and the two find themselves instantly attracted to each other.
What follows is the sweetest, most wonderful story of discovery and feelings.

I was blown away by the sweetness of the whole book, everything that happened was steady and measured while still surprising (I mean, the whole thing takes place over just a week). At first glance Lawson seems uptight and shy and Jack roguish and determined - I thought it would be a straightforward case of seduction but never have I been happier to be wrong. There are dates, impromptu picnic dinners and flowers, a dog, some Tasmanian devils and of course - butterflies.

It was a beautiful love story that is started like a cocoon and grew into a beautiful butterfly. Jack is a forest ranger and Lawson studies butterflies. They first meet in the plane coming to Tasmania. Jack offers his help to Lawson when they arrived and from there on they find more things in common and the attraction starts right away. Jack dines and wines Lawson with the most romantic dinners and a flower given at the end of each, it's very sweet. There relationship blossoms into a beautiful love affair. ?

I loved this story. There was tons of cute dorkyness, clever snark and two incredibly likable characters in Jack and Lawson.

I enjoyed the almost effortless way they came together, not likely to find two more different beings. The spark, the connection was one that made me just grin and grin and grin as I read this book.

Personally the low angst was just fine for me. I'd love to believe that many love stories don't have secret lovers, babies, lives...

Sweet sighs, romantic dates, a lovely small town and tons of interesting butterfly trivia made this a beautiful read. Looking forward to the next installment in Jack and Lawson's love story.

Jack works in the Parks and Wildlife. He is friendly, lives with his dog Rosemary (which I love), and single. Sparks fly when Jack meets Lawson. Lawson is a butterfly specialist. He is nerdy, attractive, speaks his mind, and he doesn't know what a catch he is. Lawson simply put is one of a kind.

This books just made me feel the "butterflies" in my heart and stomach. Get it. Haha. These two men are sweet, caring, and hot together. I loved their dates. Man jack surely knows how to put together 5 star dates..

Simply put, you must read this book. If you don't, your missing out.. I need books two because I need more of these men.

I loved this book. I loved both Lawson and Jack. Lawson is a genius and really has no filter and speaks his mind and generally doesn't worry about offending anyone. I really liked that even though he is crazy smart it wasn't turned into that being a bad thing and having a continuous discussion of being a geek or nerd or whatever. I liked that the person who comes to love him, Jack, just 'gets him' and visa versa. There really is a kindness to these two men that actually seems to be rare in books. I also enjoyed the butterfly theme, and I think I even learned something! Sexy men, hot times, smart, and lovable.

Lovely. Sweet. Romantic. Heartfelt. A true love story.

Do want to smile and feel good? Read Imago.

NR Walker's latest warmed my heart and etched a smile on my face the ENTIRE TIME I was reading this. It was sweetl without being sickly and gooey. It was romantic without being angsty nor over the top. It was intelligent without being overbearing. And it was sexy in just the right ways, at the right times, and in the right amounts.

I adored this story about a shy and straight forward scientist and a grounded, yet lonely parks ranger. The story is as beautiful and magical as the glorious cover to this book!

This is the story about Lawson, a lepidopterist who loves to wear bow tie and suspenders, and Jack, Local Parks and Wildlife officer.
Lawson goes to Scottdale, in Tasmania looking for a rare butterfly specie; they meet and from the beginning the chemistry is strong and I Loved the chats and the flirting between them.
Their story is so sweet and fresh, I was completely fascinating by the descriptions of plants and nature in Tasmania ( make me want to go there too)
Add to the mix a super sweet dog and old fashioned courtship ( they give flowers every date they have, so cute!) and you will have a well written story I highly recommend; I can’t wait for book two!
And what about the cover? it's amazing!
I received an ARC from the author for an honest review

A Beautiful story!!! A genius lepidopterist (expert on butterflies) meets a local Parks and Wildlife officer. Their chemistry explodes and love is in the air as Lawson sets out to find a new species of butterfly and Jack is there to support him all the way. Their passions of their jobs and each other bring them together in a heartwarming way. NR Walker is an amazing author!! Always been a fan. Don't miss this exciting first novel of a series. You won't be disappointed. Loved it❤️❤️

The big, brawny outdoorsman top, the lithe bookish bottom has been done to the point of death, but this Brooks's saving grace, in my opinion, is the romance. The sex scenes were too detailed for this to be a "sweet romance" but the readers of this genre expect it so I can't fault the writer. The writing is flawless, no typos, not too much Ozzie for American readers and the dialogue was equally fitting, believable and helped moved the storyline. I will be looking for more from this writer

Once again, N.R. Walker has brought us a completely adorable and awesomely unique couple in Jack and Lawson. The quirky, nerdy scientist meets the ordinary park ranger on a flight. Together, they end up searching for an elusive butterfly while they find the love that has eluded them both. Filled with bow ties and butterfly kisses, you'll find Imago makes your heart flutter. I'm looking forward to more adventures from Jack and Lawson. I received an ARC with no expectation of a review.

YIKES!! I was looking for some light reading because I'd just ready a heavy book. I needed some fluffy light reading. But this takes FLUFF to a new level. It's basically ONE LONG DATE with SPECIFIC SEXUAL EPISODES over and OVER again!! No, really. These guys are beyond fluff. I honestly waited for something to happen and then .... at the very end, a fire, some drama, and everyone lives happily ever after!! Even the DOG!! Honestly, I had to force myself to finish the book. This is one of those situations where straight women think they can write m/m fiction and they just write all the characters as if they're women. No kidding. Like two women dating and what they'd want from their dream guy. Just so y'all know (spoiler alert) even the butterflies come out okay in the end.... JEEZE!!

Nerd nirvana! I love this pairing of Lawson & Jack. It’s an old-fashion love story...without all the angst that is generally apart contemporary M/M romance. They are sweet, endearing and lovely together. Plus there is butterflies talk! What’s not to love!

Awesome start to the series. This book just did it for me, it hit all the marks! Cute nerdy guy? check! Hot muscle guy? Check! You will feel the connection between these two from the first page to the end. I immediately wanted to read book 2 so I hope it comes out soon. This book has action, sweet moments and good laughs. Can't wait for the next.

I have really enjoyed this author's previous work, but this one not so much. It isn't easy to both authentically show a character's social anxiety issues. I understand the trope but it just didn't work I finished about a quarter of it and gave up. Given I read a book or two a day it takes a lot for me to actually not finish a book.

It was sweet, it was charming, it had some scientific themes and details which I enjoyed. I could get a good idea of a specific place, it wasn't a generic setting. I loved that Lawson was confident while still being geeky and without being arrogant. I loved watching Jack be charmed by him. Not much angst, lots of good feelings!

I love butterflies, which led me to this beautiful book. It is a wonderful love story that develops much as butterflies do. It was too short for their love to be fully developed. But it was a sweet tale with some hot naughty moments. I am impressed by the attention to details and with the research. I loved the way the author ended Jack and Lawson's love even though it left me wanting for more. There is all is and if that's what you are into, read this.

This is an excellent romance with just enough intrigue to keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Jack and Lawson are wonderful characters and reading about them as their love unfurled was great. Definitely recommend this book and this author.

I just loved everything about this one- from how they meet, to their vast physical differences, but personal similarities, to how they just clicked. I liked their speaking differences. The story builds nice and slow then roars- like a good fire!

I bought this book 100% because of the amazing cover. The book itself is sweet and fluffy. There's no real conflict, and the characters are as sweet and fluffy as book plot. It's an easy, enjoyable, if somewhat forgettable read. But in the whole, it's a nice way to pass a couple of hours.

This is a sweet, light, and very enjoyable tale. I completely fell in love with both Lawson and Jack, and cheered at their HEA ending. N.R. Walker is a master at taking simple plotlines and giving them her own unique twist.

Another stellar release from Walker! The characters are immediately lovable since the very first page. There are no angst at all in the book, and I love the way the relationship evolves organically through the book.
