First off, after reading the Steel Brothers books I had such high hopes for this one. With such great reviews I was excited to get started. However, I found the way these characters talked ridiculous and repetitive. I am familiar with ranch work and rodeos. Nobody talks like that. It was so annoying to me. I just didn't find them to be realistic or relatable. So disappointed.

I absolutely love this book. Such a great story line. Definitely a must reread this book again. Will retain this book in my collection. I have read Craving, Obsession, and Possession, and fell in love with Helen Hardt's story telling. She has moved to be on my top 5 list. Thank you Helen! Please keep writing.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The first half was forced and robotic. I didn't connect with the characters. There was little development with the characters or the world they lived in. Then about half way through the story just took off. The dialogue felt more organic and I was more invested in their plight. So I'm glad I stuck with it. It ended up being sweet .
