5 amazing beautiful stars, how can you review a book when you can't find any words to express how good this book was.

This was a beautiful story of how to broken souls find each other and go on a journey to heal each other.

I loved them both, they were both so very unique and written beautifully that I felt I lived every page with them from start to finish and the emotion that Carmen wrote into every page was truly spellbinding that you can't help rooting for them both but in totally different ways.

For me I don't know if Carmen will ever top this book it's definitely found a place in my best books ever shelf, but the beauty of books is I can't wait to find out!

The storyline was stunning and exceptionally well-written. I wasn't sure if this was the type of love story and subject matter that would hold my interest to the end of the story, but I found it to be one of my favorite books of this year, and I read a lot.
The characters were interesting and well written with lots of good feelings and emotions. I think the secondary characters added so much to this story and the pace of this book was exceptional.
I was so moved by this author's style that I can't wait to read more from her. This was way beyond a five-star book, exceptional from start to finish.

The Way Back Home was a nice surprise. I normally do not read military romances. I was able to finish this in one day, and found myself wanting more.

With most books you find yourself annoyed with one character playing the poor me card. This wasn't the case between these two. While August's past is brought before you from the start, Olivia's slowly unravels showing her demons. To overcome what she's had to go through, and to have such a huge heart is amazing.

This book was a breath of fresh air, and great for summer reading!

Carmen Jenner is a new author for me. I downloaded the book because it popped on on an the store list for me and I thought the book cover looked interesting. Yes, I do judge a book by it's cover, sometimes. I am glad I gave this new author a chance. It only took me a few pages and I wanted to keep reading. There were a few aggressive/assertive romance scenes but nothing like the known 50 Shades. This book does discuss PTSD, return from active military life and it is a romance book. I will be looking for more books by Jenner

Honestly, I really wanted to love this story. It had a lot of great things. I loved to see the growth in August and I'm a sucker for a sexy marine. I felt like this story was really drawn out and there was just too much going on. I felt like the author could have built up the story of the main characters a little more. Overall a good story but I was hoping for better.

Charming and heartwarming story of War Hero August Cotton and quirky Olivia Anders. They couldn't be more opposites and their banter made this story a must read!
The writing was smart, funny and easy to follow. The characters were real, relatable and with great chemistry!
This is their journey as they navigate new developments in their complicated lives. The result is an angsty story that had me laughing, rolling my eyes at their banter(in a good way) and pulling at my emotions!
4.5 stars!

I just don’t understand why authors take the easy way out. This had potential to be a 5star book. The details just weren’t there. There were too many places that characters or situations were just ignored. Ok as a light read.

August Cotton is a veteran who returned from the war with both physical and emotional scars. Wondering why he was spared as well as what he has to offer anyone is at the forefront of his mind. Olivia is a woman who has endured a life of hardship to find her strength in training service dogs for veterans. Each has personal difficulties, but find they are stronger together. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

3.5 Stars. Good storyline.. A Person who just wants to help after suffering some tragedy in her own life. The damaged marine angle was a great way to write ! I felt it was little long but otherwise it is a solid Read.

An emotional story that is most likely the truth in a ton of households. Not just the ex Marine PTSD but the father dealing drugs and beating his son and making him deal drugs for him. This book is amazing the characters are awesome and I love the chemistry between them all.

Incredible strong heroine, beautifully broken hero throw in memorable secondary characters, two Julie teens and some dogs and a pig resulting in poignant tale of healing a wounded warrior. Well done tale of the issue of PTSD and suicide. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. This book did not disappoint. ?
