Destined for an Early Grave - Night Huntress - Book 4

This fourth book of the Huntress series wasn't my favorite. Cat and Bones spent too much time apart and I wanted to see more action for Cat. But....the development of the other great characters and their storylines is commendable. I'm still amazed at the imagination of Jeannie Frost. She keeps me thoroughly entertained, amused, and yet she doesn't make me roll my eyes. By the way....more Vlad please!

This book was amazing . This is the third time that I have read this book and believe me I will enjoy it the fourth & fifth.The night Huntress books are great . I OWN THE COMPLETE SET.GET THE SET YOU WANT REGRET IT.

Yes there are some difficult times for Cat and Bones but all couples have conflict. The plot is creative and the author reveals her sense of humor several times. I laughed out loud more than once. A good installment and leaves you wanting more.

Loved "Destined for an Early Grave". Jeaniene Frost did NOT disappoint. I was glad to see the vampire side of things with Spade, Vlad and Mencheres- keep Cat and Bones going strong!! I can't wait to read the Spade/Denise spin off!!

This was just painful. The entire scenario screams awkward and it causes a great deal of conflict. The fights and distance between Cat and Bones are tremendous. For them as a unit, it all comes down to this book.

Gregor is such a slimeball. It was both hilarious and appalling when Cat finally confronted him. It cost her though. A choice she later makes that upsets him further costs her so much more.

Notable characters that play a significant role here are Mencheres, Vlad, Majestic, and Apollyon. Apollyon is setup, but the other three are ones I’ve come to love, partly because of this book. Then there are fun scenes with Spade and Annette too. The last thing I’ll say is poor Justina and Rodney.

Destined for an Early Grave is another game changer and makes or breaks Cat and Bones.

Destined for an Early Grave was just as intertaining as the first three books.
I hope this isn't the last of their story. I'm sure I'll love Denise's story as well but
I feel Cat and Bones have more stories to tell.

I love this book although I was a little disappointed at all the fighting between cat and bones. I was shocked at what happened at the end though. Don't want to spoil it for anyone so make sure you read it.

I am an avid paranormal series reader and have read most of what is out there. This is an excellent series that expands far beyond simple action and romance. The characters have great depth to go along with the passion they hold. I would recommend this book (have to read the first 3 first to appreciate it) to anyone who enjoys a great preternatural escape.

Always enjoy the huntress series, but wasn't able to read this book til now. Cat and her friends always surprises me at what can happen, but be assured it won't be ordinary. Ihave been reading her for a long time and look forward to the next in Jan '14.

Arrived Quickly, and in good Condition. I love this series! The author creates a vivid, exciting world with lovable, intriguing characters. I would recommend this book (Series) to anyone of my friends and family. :)

The author paints vampires in a way not previously described. It's innovative and exciting. The way she gets into the way that they think, and explains their motivations without beating you over the head with tediousness is compelling. You get a chance to feel and understand the world she's created, and you can't help but want more.

In addition, I highly recommend the audio books. The narrator is incredibly talented and her inflection is amazing. Her voice perfectly captures the writing style, and intensifies your journey through the book.

Enjoying the series. The character development, the plot lines, the plot twists, and humor all make for excellent escapist fang-fare. A refreshing new take on vampires and the infrastructure surrounding them and the other creatures they co-habitate with this world.

The only problems I have had with this series is 1) setting aside time to read, and 2) stopping for sleep! Addictive reading, in other words.If you haven't started, I envy you; you have a wonderful adventure ahead of you. Warning: the violence can be graphic (no; IS graphic) and the sex scenes are very detailed. You can skim/skip over them, but be careful; some plot tidbits can be hidden in those scenes.
