This is a very good example of a romantic mystery involving two interesting characters; in this case a senator and a journalist. I've just read the book for a second time after an interval of a year or so and enjoyed it both times.

Ms. Clare uses her real world experience when writing Kara learning about a newsroom. Reece is the ultimate book boyfriend -- handsome, smart, loving, great with kids, and he can cook. It would be nice to know why this paragon of virtue is still single at the start of the book. I agree with some other reviewers that he was smitten awfully quickly.

I wish the Kindle price was more inline with other authors of the same genre (Lisa Marie Rice, Kristen Ashley, Kaylea Cross, Samantha Beck...), but you can't blame an author for trying to make a living.

I actually read "Unlawful Contact", (third in the I-Team series) first -- because somehow I didn't realize it was a series. Anyway, I'm glad I did, because had I started with Extreme Exposure I may not have been compelled to keep reading. I loved "Unlawful Contact", but thought this book fell short in a few ways.

First, I did like Pamela Clare's style of writing; I have read her historical romances (Ride the Fire, Untamed, Surrender) and absolutely loved them, so I know she's a great storyteller, with the gift of writing. I also liked reading a romance/suspense type book for a change. The mystery kept me reading to see whodunit, but it wasn't a passionate (i.e., I can't wait to see the mystery unfold)read, as was the case in Unlawful Contact. It was just okay!

What I also found lacking was the relationship between hero and heroine. Reece seemed too good to be true (though I did like him) and Kara, especially in the beginning, seemed a bit immature. The dialogue that took place at their first meeting seemed a bit lame and certainly not conducive to "serious" romantic attraction. One can blame only so much on being drunk. And the ensuing relationship (understandably) seemed more like lust, rather than true romance. The author attempted to remedy this through narration. But I prefer to come to believe in a relationship through great dialogue, supported by narration. In the end, I simply did not connect with Reece and Kara as a couple. And since this was central to the plot, I was left feeling a bit well, lacking.

I have already purchased the next book in the series, Hard Evidence, and plan to read it. I do enjoying reading about characters from previous books in the series to see what they're up to. And, I'm simply a huge fan of Pamela Clare. Even her less than best is good!

Investigative Reporter Kara McMillan is in a night club waiting on her friend Holly and drinking margaritas. With liquid courage Kara walks up to a State Senator she recognized in the bar and before she can stop herself she says his name. Senator Sherridan offers her another drink and she accepts. Next thing she knows a blonde bombshell shows up as Sherridan's dinner companion. Kara feels shot down as he goes into the restaurant to eat with the other lady. Finally Kara's friend shows up and they go into the restaurant to gossip about men and sex. By this time Kara is very tipsy.

Reminiscing about what she liked best about a sexual relationship Kara divulges some very risque things only to be overheard by the Senator. With seeing the humor in what Kara is saying he has a seat and chats with the ladies. Kara's friend decides to leave, she is hoping that Kara will have a great night with Sherridan. Stuck with no drive or money for a cab Kara gladly accepts Sherridans offer for a drive home. When home she invites him in but he declines because he knows she is intoxicated but he really had to fight himself not to indulge.
The next day Kara gets sucked into the story of a lifetime, environmental hazards, big money and cover-ups. Action packed and full of twists and turns this book will suck you in!

I really enjoyed this book, it had just the right amount of suspense, action and romance. Kara is a believable character. Mother, career woman and investigator she really brings the story alive with her loving nature to her son and gumption to revealing the truth. The hero, Senator Sherridan is a hunk with a heart and yours will just melt as you learn more and more about him throughout the story. With many twist and turns this book will keep you reading late into the night and have you feeling anxious for what will happen next.
Don't give up a chance to read this book, the story is truly worth reading and the ending will leave you very satisfied. I give this book a heartfelt 5 stars!

Kara McMillan, a reporter for Independent Denver and a member of its I-team (investigative reporters), is approached by a potential whistleblower to expose his employer for illegal and harmful waste disposal. She not only is able to substantiate his claims but finds that the corruption extends beyond the company to include state elected officials and government agencies.

Kara is also a single mother with a four-year old son. She meets state senator Reece Sheridan following an embarrassing "tipsy" encounter with him at a bar during a night out with her best friend. Reece takes her home but leaves her at the door and follows up for a more sobering encounter and from there the sparks fly. Kara hasn't been in a relationship since her disasterous relationship with her son's father, who wants no part of her or her son. She's vulnerable but Reece is persistent and committed.

The investigation into the corruption around the illegal waste disposal was interesting and somewhat suspenseful. However, it wasn't too tough to figure out the potential suspects, though their nastiness did provide some tension to the romance between Kara and Reece. He's a really good guy but lacked any flaws to make him more interesting and credible. Kara has a lot of baggage that seemed to dissipate pretty quickly, which didn't seem realistic for the time frame.

I enjoyed this book but it was a little low on the suspense meter. There are some really steamy moments between Kara and Reece, even though their romance may have moved a bit quickly. Even so, I'd recommend this book and intend to continue the series.

My rating is 3.5 stars.

I recently picked up my first Pamela Clare novel based on some the store reviews. Five books later, I've come up for air so that I can actually write my own opinion of these novels and I have to say they're all fives starting with this one. Extreme Exposure kicks off a series of stories about the I-Team investigative reporters in a reputable Denver newspaper. This one is Kara's story and I have to say it is a crazy sexy book.

Kara Macmillan is a single mother, raising her son Connor on her own and working hard for the newspaper following up on a whistleblower's lead into a corporation's illegal operations. Think Erin Brokavich minus the trial and add kidnapping, rape and murder. The closer she gets to the truth, the more danger she finds herself in. She's also extremely attracted to State Senator Reece Sheridan but eventually he turns out to be a possible suspect in the corruption and Kara is not sure who to trust. Kara pushes herself to expose the truth, meanwhile Reece tries desperately to unravel her mystery. Although his actions make him look guilty to Kara, he's doing it to protect her.

Although the book is not necessarily mysterious, ie you know who's good and who's bad all along, it initiates a great supporting cast who will later have their own novels. The romance between Kara and Reece is very hot, funny, sensual and satisfying and I found myself finishing it in a single sitting. Not only that but the series simply improves book after book. I've since picked up every Pamela Clare novel and find that I also love her historicals as much. She's definitely in my favorites now.

I found PC's contemporary romantic suspense novel very entertaining!

Kara McMillan is a single mother and a committed journalist. When she meets kind, teacher-turned-senator Reece Sheridan, sparks fly. When Kara begins to uncover a story (large plant dumping waste in well-water to gain millions in profits), her life is threatened and thus begins an exciting cat-and-mouse type investigation story.

I found Reece to be a wonderful hero- sensual, determined, intelligent and thoughtful. Kara was somewhat frustrating- which made this only a four star novel. She's bullheaded and stubborn and throws herself into trouble quite a bit. I suppose a good journalist DOES act like her, but I found her actions strange seeing as how she had a small child involved in the midst. One thing is for sure- this novel read like an erotic romance. The love scenes are steamy and playful.

I appreciated the good sidekicks (Sophie, Tessa, Holly) and I'm looking forward to their stories.

Overall, I rarely read contemporary romance, so I have little to compare this to. But seeing as how I LOVE Pamela Clare's historical novels, I wanted to give this set a try. I have to say I was surprised and pleased! I've tried "cross-reading" with other authors but this is the first time I was able to sit through a contemporary suspense novel. But still, I'm more of a fan of her historical pieces.

It started off keeping my interest. Single, working mother/reporter dragged to a bar by her best friend and ends up running into the state senator. Maybe they'll argue. Maybe there will be some underlying sexual tension while they discuss politics. Maybe they'll have wild sex for one night and pretend like it never happened the next day.

Sadly, none of these things happened. Instead Kara gets plastered (the author calls it tipsy but whatever) and has the worst case of verbal diarrhea I've ever seen. She actually asks him if women taste like tuna.

And this just kind of irritated me. Because she's telling her best friend how hot it is for a guy to go down on her then kiss her on the mouth so she can taste herself. Then she asks him if women taste like tuna. I read this part to my husband out loud, and he had the same response I did. If that's your biggest turn on, then you already know women don't taste like tuna, you moron. The author is just trying to be provacative for the sake of it and it makes no sense in the story or even by itself.

I just didn't buy that a hardass reporter would do something so completely unprofessional and that a senator, who was not drunk, would actually participate in a public conversation about oral sex. Make him anything but a Senator. A millionaire playboy, a captain of industry, any other profession where it would make sense for her as a reporter to have heard of him and spoken on the phone once, but not a Senator.

And it's not the only instance of forced sexuality in the book. I'm not a prude. But the scene with Kara's young son producing a purple vibrator in front of Reece while he was picking her up for their first date just felt so heavy handed, banal, and unnecessary. If this were supposed to be a romantic comedy, I'd probably not really blink an eye. But it isn't. And how many instances of sex themed embarassment do you really need to put your heroine through?

The fact that they literally started over during the date, with introductions and a handshake. So juvenile. Then he feeds her dessert. It's just so over the top. I couldn't deal with it.

Thankfully, the actual mystery picks up soon after and that's the only interesting part of the book. It's a well-constructed plot and I really appreciated the amount of detail that went into it. It really made the book seem like a mystery with some sex, rather than sex with a dash of mystery. The mystery is clearly the most important aspect of this novel. Which is great.

The portrayal of their relationship almost ruined the whole book for me. There are too many instances where the author tries to make Reece too likeable and it doesn't really make sense or seem realistic. For example he always refers to their encounters as 'making love.' I'm sorry. No. Doing it doggy style in the woods while pretending to be mountain lions is NOT making love. No guy would ever refer to it that way. Is it hot? Totally. Did you make love? No freaking way.

I could understand if in the course of a strictly sexual relationship he eventually developed some actual feelings for her, but right from the get-go this guy is all about the 'making love' and the 'special' relationship they have. They never made love. They did it in the woods, he tied her to the bed and used a vibrator on her, he bent her over his desk in his office for a quickie, but at no time did this couple ever 'make love' and it just irritates me when he refers to it that way. At one point in the novel his inner monologue reveals that he doesn't really know when he fell in love with her. He lists three possibilities, two of which are times they did something sexual. Go figure.

Oddly enough, I still would have read this and probably liked it MORE if the author had either had Reece only interested sex and begrudgingly developed feelings for Kara as he got to know her better OR they just never had sex at all and had a collaborative relationship while solving the mystery that eventually turned into mutual affection.

But the way it's written he comes off as desperate, clingy, and able to fall in love based on one great BJ. Or, as he suspects, maybe it was the first time she had an orgasm. Cue eye roll. Oh and he tells everyone that he's nailing her. And I mean everyone. Way to be discreet, Senator.

The bottom line for this book is, I don't know this author. It's my understanding that she also writes historical romance novels. I find that really, really intriguing because the 'romance' in this novel sucks. Maybe I'll read one of her historicals just to compare.

If I hadn't known that about her my judgment of Extreme Exposure would have been this: Pamela Clare seems like an excellent writer with a nose for crime and inside knowledge of the life of an investigative reporter. She just doesn't know how to write about relationships. Pick up the book because even though the romance is terrible, the mystery is still really good.

I'll read a few more in this series out of curiosity but I will try to adjust my expectations. I'm still amazed this woman writes actual romances, supposedly.

So how good was this!? Thanks to everyone who kept recommending this series to me, now I get what all the fuss has been about. And Pamela Clare well what can I say, this is the 7th book of yours I've read now, covering two genres and they've all been 5 star reads, so thanks for being amazing.

One of the reasons I put this off for so long was that I just couldn't get into a politician as our hero. Yeah I made assumptions, because I couldn't believe that a stuffy, suited, paper pusher could be so, freakin hot! Or for that matter even slightly interesting, I mean at some point his character is going to have to do political stuff which is always so bor-ing, and yes Reece does hang out at the capital and pass bills and vote on stuff but he's also so much more. Okay I'm just going to say it; Reece Sheridan is the perfect man, a total keeper.

I'll admit I still cringed a bit when he was described as wearing a bow tie ...um no thanks but the Senator makes up for his fashion sense in so many other ways; like his extreme cooking skills, he's great with kids, he's also funny, has a six-pack, knows his wines, and drives a jeep (I wonder if it's a CJ or a YJ ?) He has a compassionate yet take charge nature and goes all alpha and growly in the bedroom, he's also good with his hands i.e. he has the ability build a cabin in the woods complete with a bed made from tree branches and then take you outside in the snow and have mountain lion sex with you !! Jeez Louise.

Okay where was I? I'm all befuddled now.
Right, Extreme Exposure book is book 1 in the I-team series, centering around Kara McMillian a single mother and hard hitting journalist with a penchant for margaritas and purple jiggly things (god those scenes made me laugh) Kara is struggling to be a full time mum for her son while still holding down a full time job. She's given up on any hope of a love life after the disaster that was her son's father and the fact that her boss is a bit of an a$$ and there just aren't enough hours in the day.

When Kara receives an anonymous tip from an employee at the Northrup Mining Corp regarding a host of environmental crimes including the dumping and disposal of toxic waste (I admit I had flashes of Erin Brockovich here) Launching into her investigation Kara soon realizes she's got the potential for a huge story on her hands. People's lives are at stake and the extent of the corruption is beyond anything she could have imagined, going all the way to; you guessed it, the senate which does put a kink into her blossoming affair with a certain politician. Before long he's also on her list of suspects and Kara's running for her life.

This was just all out fantastic read, superbly written with believable, well rounded characters, sex scenes that were off the charts hot, an exciting suspenseful and interesting storyline that stayed out of OTT territory and kept me engrossed with moments of humour, vulnerability, intrigue and passion. I can't wait to see what lies ahead next. Cheers

Author Pamela Clare has called on her own experiences as an investigative reporter to write a stunning romantic suspense story that takes you into the world of corruption, high stakes government, and reckless abuse of power. A story that's part romance, part action-adventure, and part police procedural, EXTREME EXPOSURE is a roller-coaster ride that will have you turning pages long into the night.

For single mother Kara McMillan, finding a man hasn't been a top priority for several years. The only problem is that her body is urging her otherwise, and Kara has to admit that five years without a man-and without sex-has been about five years too long. Her friend Holly's advice? Go to a bar, have a few drinks, find someone you want to spend the night with, and make your intentions known. For Kara, whose life has revolved around nothing but her son, Connor, and her job, journalism, Holly's advice is easier said than done.

Unfortunately-or fortunately, depending on how you look at it-after one too many margaritas in that bar crowded with fine male specimens, a man enters who has all of Kara's juices flowing-the private and the professional ones. State Senator Reece Sheridan is a man to be admired, feared, or lusted after; depending on which side you fall upon. For Kara, this smooth-talking, well-dressed man who could be a male model is a cause for alarm-he gets her bells ringing, and it's been a long, long time since that happened.

A drunken conversation about sex in a crowded bar somehow leads to an invitation for a date, and Kara finds herself growing more and more attracted to Reece. And as their relationship develops to the next level, Kara finds herself on the other side of the newspaper for once-there's a lot of public interest in her relationship with the Senator, not all of it good. Someone is urging her to investigate her lover in something more sinister than having Reece get to know her son; something, in fact, that might have Reece Sheridan as a government official abusing his power in the Senate, and doing things that are strictly illegal-not to mention dangerous.

Suddenly both their reputations are on the line-Reece's as a Senator, Kara's as a reporter and a mother. Can the fact that their growing attraction, admiration, and respect have grown even deeper save them from the storm of bad publicity around them? And why is someone so desperate to see Reece Sheridan removed from the Senate?

Kudos to Ms. Clare for such a great story! An innovative and intriguing story line made better by real life characters, EXTREME EXPOSURE is a hot, sexy novel that has enough twists and turns to keep everyone satisfied. Romantic suspense that's heavy on details that only a true reporter would know, I highly recommend this book, and look forward to her next release, Hard Evidence (Berkley Sensation).

This is my first Pamela Clare novel. I was entertained, but definitely not blown away by this one.

I think my major disappointment came with Kara's character. She seemed "childish" to me at times. In the first chapter of the book, she is at a bar (tipsy to say the least), and approaches the Senator, Reese Sheridan. I won't get into the details of the conversation, but I'll just say there were moments that I had the experience of thinking "DID I REALLY JUST READ THAT/DID SHE REALLY JUST SAY THAT". In real life, I think Kara's mouth would've sent Reese running instead of turning him on!

Speaking of Reese......here's a question "Can a romantic hero be "too perfect?" If this is possible Reese fits that criteria. His perfection is overwhelming. Smart, sexy, successful, attentive, good with protection/weapons, able to build homes and fix anything, as good in the bedroom as in the congressional hall. The description could go on and on. His perfection cast a shadow over Kara's flaws and made their relationship seem somewhat unbelievable. What did he see in her?

The suspense was decent. Environmental crimes via big companies....(think Erin Brockovich). In the end I felt entertained, but not enough to ever recommend this one to others or keep it for myself.

One last thing:
I was going to quit this series after this book, but decided to read the next book Hard Evidence. Please consider reading this gem (a true keeper and absolutely "unputdownable")!

I absolutely love this book! This is a great start to the series & I can't wait to read the rest. Author Pamela Clare does a great job at throwing suspense & romance into one! I loved Senator Reece Sheridan: the ultimate alpha male. Kara, the determined & independent journalist & single mom, was also a likeable & strong heroine. Their relationship was well developed and believable & together, they burn the pages with hot, scorching flames! The story moved at a good pace with lots of suspense, romance, and twist & turns. I really enjoyed this book & highly recommend it for those who like their romantic suspense with great & unforgettable characters! Praises for Pamela Clare. She did a fantastic job with the beginning of this series & I have no doubt that the rest of the series will be phenomenal as well! I highly, highly recommend this!

Why I Read this Book: A lot of people recommended this book (and series) to me, especially one person in particular - Nicole from The Book Pushers. She knows how much I love the romantic suspense sub-genre. (And she definitely qualifies as a `Book Pusher'!) My lucky day arrived when I was next in queue for this book on PBS and you better believe I tore into it as soon as it arrived in my mail box.

What I Liked: Kara and Reece are likeable and realistic characters. Kara is a journalist for a Denver newspaper who is not afraid to go after a story, no matter who or what the subject is. She's good at her job; she's a hard hitter and legislators are terrified of her. She balances raising her son, her career and now a new relationship. Reece is a Senator who catches Kara's attention. I loved Reece's reason for becoming a Senator; it shows that he's in it for all the right reasons. Kara's a bit hesitant to start a relationship with Reece at first. There's the conflict of interest being that she's a journalist and he's a Senator; that's reason enough for him to potential end up as a subject matter in one of her articles.

The book starts off with a hilarious conversation about oral sex that takes place between Kara and her friend Holly. Things get real interesting when Reece joins the conversation and Kara interrogates him about his sexual preferences. At this point Kara is completely loaded up on margaritas so she knows no boundaries. And though Reece could have totally taken advantage of Kara and the situation, he remains a complete gentleman.

One hilarious part that had me laughing my ass off was when Kara's 4-year old son Connor holds up her vibrator and asks "Mommy, what's this jiggle stick?". And of course this conversation takes place in front of Reece. I just about died from laughing when I read that!

I like how the epilogue gives you the feeling that the story you've just read came from actual events from the author's life. Nice touch.

What I Didn't Like: There was a really awkward conversation that took place between Reece and Connor, Kara's 4-year old son. Kara and Reece are woken up by Connor. He climbs into the bed, looks Reece right in the eyes and asks "Are you having sex with my mommy?" to which Reece replies "Not at the moment." I'm not going to get into a big long spiel about the matter but my 6-year old doesn't even know that word yet. I'm sure there are 4-year olds out there who do know of the word (and say it) but the book could have gone on without that conversation. And if I were in Kara's shoes, I would have smacked Reece for his reply.

Overall Impression: Extreme Exposure was the perfect balance of romance and suspense. The suspenseful plot in Extreme Exposure is interesting although not entirely original; it's very similar to the water supply contamination plot found in the movie Erin Brockovich. Fans of the movie will enjoy the research aspect and the suspenseful element in Extreme Exposure. And there's also the added bonus of a hot romance that the book has which the movie lacks. I need the rest of the I-Team series STAT!

I'm a major fan of the three historicals (Surrender, Ride the Fire and Untamed) I have read by Pamela Clare but this one had me skimming the pages and not so engaged. Perhaps I am just not a fan of the genre as this is the first contemporary romantic suspense I have read, but I was disappointed. It was OK but predictable (yes, historicals are predictable too but somehow it just didn't work for me here), and without giving any of the plot away, the bad guys were stereotypically bad and all the bad things that happened went over the top. However, I absolutely recommend 100% Pamela Clare's historicals (5 stars) that I mention above. They are up there as some of the best I have read and I have read many in the past year.

That this was Mrs. Clare's first contemporary, and a suspense at that. I read one of her historicals thought it was pretty good. This is way better, in my opinion. I really liked Reece. He was a perfect hero. He came across as human and still a good guy. Not those ones who are so perfect they are too perfect to be believable. Kara, well I liked her too, I just didnt agree with some of the things she did. That falls into more personal tastes. I just didnt like some of the choices she made, little things that. So that is my personal taste, not an opinion on the story itself.

The story all together was great. We had an idea of where the bad guy was, but we didnt know exactly who or where they were on the ladder. Not the best who done it, but enough to keep you entertained and guessing a little. There was plenty of action, good lovescenes. Purple jiggle stick, lol, was great. I liked her son, I didnt think he was in enough of the book though. I thought it was great when Kara snapped on her boss Tom. The book was also funny. It was a strong novel that had humor, a good story line and good characters.

I thought this book was great and would recommend it to romance readers all over. Enjoy!!

A great story from beginning to end. From Kara and Reece's embarrassingly humorous introduction to their nearly fatal crisis and their rich, loving relationship at the end, I found them thoroughly likeable and engaging. I did wonder about some of the love scenes, how comfortable or even physically possible some of their acts might be, but that was minor in the overall grip of this great story.

WOW! And I thought Pamela Clare was a wonderful writer of historical romance..! This was an amazingly sexy, intelligent and truly entertaining novel! Someone should seriously make it into a movie!

Kara McMillan is a daring investigative reporter, who is trying hard to balance the demands of her successful career with those of being a single mom. Having been dragged to a swanky lounge by her female co-worker, in the hopes of attracting some male attention, Kara discovers that tipsiness, combined with her investigative skills, can produce an interesting conversation with a good-looking man... who, just so happens, is a state senator.

Reece Sheridan is so amused by the wildcat reporter, he can't help but pursue her. Unfortunately anything resembling a relationship is hard to fit on their plates, which are already overflowing by their high profile careers. To top it all off, a huge political scandal is brewing, which threatens not only any possibilities of romance, but also their very lives and careers.

I immensely enjoyed "watching" Kara slowly make room in her heart for something self-serving, that for once wasn't about responsibilities. Equally intriguing was Reece's effort to balance that male-protectiveness with respect for her feminist sensibilities.

This truly was a wonderful tale of pulse-raising romantic suspense, easily one of the best I've ever read! I'm definitely keeping this one on my bookshelf and can't wait to read more works by Pamela Clare.

Pamela Clare has done it. When I first began reading her historical series, I was immediately impressed with Ms Clare's attention to detail and historical accuracy. She embraces the senses and wraps the reader up tight in the cocoon of her story. She had me from SWEET RELEASE. So when I learned she would be writing a romantic suspense, I had to check it out. This is a fantastic, fast paced, highly charged novel filled with tingling sexual tension and intrigue. Kara and Reece pack a power punch! If you are a fan of romantic suspense, this is a must have.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Erin Brockovich but with more bad guys, more danger and way more romance. I got this from my library so I didn't pay anything for it. I am very cheap when it comes to buying a book, never paying more than five bucks for any book but this one was worth that and more. Will definitely read more from this author.

Pamela Clare, the brightest star in romance has outdone herself with her new contemprary book Extreme Exposure. Kara, an investigative reporter is on the case of a huge company trashing the environment with toxic waste dump. Her investigation will lead to politicans and other people who wants to stop her are out to get her at any cost, even death. Senator Reece Sheridan is single, sexy, and extremely handsome. He meets Kara on the first chapter, and has a very naughty conversation with her. This leads to instant attraction and chemistry. Unlike other senators Reece is dedicated to his work and improving the government. There are no sex scandals with any interns for this senator, the only sex and scandals he has is with Kara. Ms. Pamela Clare has certainly used her on career as an investigator reporter to good use. The authenticity of how Kara went about her job is real. But this is only have of the story. The action half.

The romance part of the story is to die for. As I said from the beginning of the book starting with the hot, sweaty conversation that Reece has with Kara to the last page, it is filled with sexual tension. Reece is such a powerful, loving, sexual hero. Not only is he a good lover he is also an excellent father to Kara's little son. This is the type of man any woman would want. There is a very humorous scene involving Kara's son and a certain toy. Numerous flaming hot scenes involving Kara and Reece showing their love and the lust. Just be prepared to have plenty of towels to wipe off the sweat and something cool handy. This book is that good.

Nowadays we have too many romance books that aren't even romance anymore. Extreme Exposure is the kind of old fashion straight romance that I feel we have been missing for a long time. Thank you Ms. Pamela Clare for writing romance the way it should be written.

I am typically strictly a historical romance reader but a friend of mine reccommended that I read Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare (which is classified as a "romantic suspense". I was not dissapointed. I was hooked from the start. The characters have great chemistry and are very believable. They story line itself is so intense and kept me from setting the book down. (Not to mention the sexy, hot love scenes!!!!) I went right out and bought the other book in the series, Hard Evidence.

From amazing historical richness to intense modern day suspense, Pamela Clare has proven that she is an author of many talents. Extreme Exposure is her first contemporary novel, but her voice is so true that you'd never know it. Smart, sassy, sensual...those are just a few of the words I would use to describe EE.

If you are looking for a story with depth, intrigue, heart, and serious heat, pick this one up. Pamela Clare has proven once again with this fast paced page-turner why she has landed smack on top of my autobuy list. Kudos, Ms. Clare. You rock.
