Adriana Locke does it again people!!! Sway is fantastic! 5 stars!

Barrett Landry. Sexy politician. He's gorgeous, charming and he's used to getting what he wants. Once he meets single mom Alison, he can't stop thinking about her. She's different than other women. She, how do I put this...puts him in his place when he gets a little out of line with his cockiness:) But Alison's been burned before. Hard. And she's not looking to go down that road again. But sometimes powerful swoon-worthy politicians come along and sweep you off your feet and you just can't help but fall head over heels.

Number 1. I'm voting Landry this election.
Number 2. Where has Barrett Landry been hiding all my life?

Barrett just might be my new favorite Locke boy! Well, besides Crew I mean;)

I really loved Alison. It was understandable why she was so hesitant in starting something with Barrett. Not to mention that it's not just her she's worried about, but she has a 10 year old son to put first. She thought out all her decisions carefully. I loved how independent she was. She made it very clear that she didn't want or need a man to take care of her or her son. GO GIRL!

Barrett was so swoon-worthy. He's smart, confident and he's actually a genuine politician. Like the first honest politician...ever. He wanted to make sure he was doing the right thing for the people. I loved how caring he was of Alison and how accepting he was of Huxley. That Barrett Landry...he's a good man.

From that first walk Barrett & Alison took together, it seemed so easy and relaxing between them both. Their conversation just flowed perfectly. I really enjoyed that. It wasn't forced or awkward or even weird. It seemed so natural from that moment that they should be together. Oh gosh and I don't think I'll ever be able to look at grapes the same way again. I don't know for sure but if I had to guess, I'd say Adriana is helping a lot of women out there get their daily dose of fruits. First bananas and now grapes!

The secondary characters were wonderful. Well the Landry siblings, Barrett's parents, Huxley, Ali's parents, Troy, Isaac & Lola were all great.

Lola was a terrific best friend to Alison. She was so funny and loyal. All the Landry brothers were great. I especially loved Lincoln. I had a serious crush on him, especially when he was defending Ali.

Now Nolan, Lacy and that winch, you know, Daphne, can take a flying leap off a cliff. Omg that's mean of me. I apologize. No, no I don't because they were mean and nasty. The things they said and the things they did were awful.

I did not expect to cry while reading this but I did. Huxley is such a smart boy and the way he took care of his mom was so sweet. That kid is going places!

Ohhhhhh and I loved that this was set in Savannah! It's one of my favorite places to go!

P.S. I love Adriana Locke. She's an author I can always count on. Her stories make me cry, laugh and always leave me with a book hangover. This was such a great story! I can't wait for the rest of the Landry books!

Convincing characters I fell in love with. Felt like I was watching a movie as I had a clear picture of each person introduced into the plot. Adriana Locke has a way with words. Believable and realistic take on the political aspect. Looking forward to reading novels of the entire Landry family.

this book was absolutely amazing, but Adriana Locke's book never dissappoint. Barrett and Ali's story is complex and gives you all the feels. Hux is quite possibly the cutest kid and how he protects and worries about his mother and also how wise byond his years is the sweetest boy! i would completely recommend this book and am very much looking forward to the upcoming books in the series.

I absolutely loved this book. The Landrys are my new favorite family and I've found a new favorite author. This book is filled with phenomenal writing that made me laugh, fret, and (in the end) filled me with joy. I've not only read this book several times, but have also recommended it to pretty much everyone.

Sway is the first book in the Landry Family series, and I thoroughly enjoyed. It is the story of Mayor Barrett Landry and Alison Baker, he is running for Governor and she works two jobs, attends school and has a fantastic little kid named Huxley. Barrett doesn't want or need a relationship and Alison already has her life mapped out, with Huxley as priority one. But sometimes life has a way of throwing you for a loop, and that is exactly what happens to Barrett.
This is a great book filled with family, friends, romance, passion, and intrigue. The secondary characters are the greatest, I could not help but fall in love with all of Barrett's family, and Alison's friends Lola and Isaac. For me it was Huxley that stole the show in this book, between his love of baseball and his need to protect his mother, how could he not?
Five-Speak as you find stars for this one, along with a high recommendation to anyone that loves romance. Now on to the next book in the series!!

Once again Adriana Locke has rocked me happy. Sway, the first book in her Landry sibling series brings the humor, heat and heart in equal doses. I fell for both of the main characters from the first moment I met them and loved reading this one in dual POV. I loved getting both sides of the story and seeing the different reactions to the same situations.

Alison Baker. That woman had me rooting for her from page one. She is strong and as sassy as she is sensitive. She hides her frustrations and fears behind sarcasm. And for good reason too, she has been more than burned by the actions of others in her past. She has to look out for number one, her son Huxley. But all it took was once chance encounter with the sinfully sexy Barrett Landry to shake up the stability in her life. WOW oh wow Barrett- I don't even know where to start with him. Swoon isn't enough of a word for his yumminess. He is fiercely loyal to what and who he holds dear; namely his family. I loved his relationship with his siblings. It was realistic and had the teasing with love vibe to it that you can only get with family. But what I loved most about his was how taken aback he was by Alison.

There was no denying the chemistry between them. Even when Alison tried to Barrett was having none of it. Seeing how he went out of his way to show he listened and cared and making time for her amidst both of their hectic schedules made me fall for him even more. The sweet, quiet moments between them are what sealed the deal, though the big gestures didn't hurt. But when someone who I shall not name here puts everything Barrett has been building- both professionally and personally at risk, it is game on. The gloves came off and yet another side of Mr. Landry was revealed.

So much happened in the last quarter of this book that I had no idea what was going to happen. My head was spinning just as much as Alison and Barrett's. Kudos to Adriana Locke- I can honestly say that I didn't see the twist that changed it all coming and I can usually spot them coming. Sway made me laugh, sigh, swoon and smile. And that ending- le sigh- it was everything I was hoping for from page one but didn't know if I was going to get. It was a fantastic start of what is sure to be an amazing series. The siblings are all so different but they are family- they come together and take care of their own. I absolutely can not wait for more from this family and series.

"What are you doing to me?" she whispers, her voice filled with as much need as is coursing through my body. I press my lips against her neck, right beneath her ear.
"Exactly what you thought I was going to do to you. What you were picturing in your mind when you agreed to be mine."

This was just so freaking good. I loved it so much.

And I kind of hate Adriana Locke right now because I have absolutely no clue how to review this. I'm all out of words.

I guess I should start with the story. In short, and without reciting the synopsis, this is book one in the series and centers around Barrett Landry, a somewhat playboy politician who has learned to get what he wants especially with his charm and a smile and then we have Alison Baker a single mom working two jobs and studying and who knows what it's like to have everything taken from her. Both really are at opposite ends of the scale in life right now but that doesn't stop them from being pulled towards each other even if it's the last thing either of them thought they wanted or needed.

'Every part of me is tangled up in this irresistibly handsome politician and I’m afraid there’s no way out. I’m really afraid I might not want a way out.'

From reading this book all I'm left thinking is HOW THE FU-- DOES ADRIANA DO IT??!
Here's the thing, the more books an author puts out and the more we read from them it's hard for similarities not to be there in each book, the similarities aren't even a bad thing, there's only so many ways you can portray a story or a character and yet, Adriana has a couple of books out and they're all different. Adriana has done the single mom book already and yet again this is absolutely NOTHING like the one before. Not the story, not the relationship(s), not the kid, not the dynamics. The writing and voices are nothing a like. I dunno I'm rambling lol! I'm just in awe of her talent, her writing and her delivery with each book.

Adriana has some of the best female characters and Alison is high on that list. I loved her. She's tough. Not in a loud way, she just is tough. She's been through a lot and came out the other end. She's so strong and doesn't realise it. She's scared at times yet so brave and selfless. And she loves so fiercely. She didn't make things easy for Barrett and not in a hard-to-get way, not in a way because she's trying to be a badass, just because she needed to be careful and take things slow and because she was always thinking of her son. Their love is something else and the way she took her time with Barrett was so natural and right.

Barrett, well damn. Not quite sure I was expecting him! He is sexy and smooth. What I loved most about him though is his character really went on a journey through this book. He learned a lot in many aspects of his life and he over came a lot. He's in a career where there are liars everywhere and he has to deal with sneaky people who all have their own agendas, he's trying to be honest and work towards being the governor, the best one he can be yet he has many people who have their opinions on how he should be doing things. And in the middle of it all, he's starting to fall hard and fast for someone when falling in love is the last thing he should be doing.

"So you'll be my girl? Even though you once told me I'm the exact person you didn't want to be with?"
"I thought you once told me you could spot a liar from a mile away."

And I can't not mention Huxley. That kid is adorable and so smart and strong. A protector. He's too cute for words and his character fit perfectly into this story.

This is a really sexy (grapes, people, GRAPES!!), funny and sweet book. It's actually quite an emotional (at times) story too. I teared up a couple of times because the emotion was something else, whether it was how honest Barrett and Alison were with each other, Alison and Huxley, Huxley and Barrett or sometimes just Alison and what she's been through. This book is an all around winner and I can't wait to get to know the other characters and see where Adriana brings them.

I love reading any book by Adriana Locke as I’m always left with a fuzzy and warm feeling, her books have lots of awww moments.

Barrett Landry is the mayor of Savannah and in the middle of a really important stage of his career; he’s running for Governor of Georgia. He’s known for being a ladies’ man and can charm the pants of a woman, literally with just his smile.

Alison Baker is a single mom to her son Huxley. After a really bad public break up with her ex she moved from New Mexico to start a fresh and make sure that she could financially provide for her and her son and never need to depend on anyone else again.

While working one of her jobs she has the pleasure of serving drinks to Mayor Landry and his associates and even though she tries not to let him affect her, she leaves work that night will a smile on her face and an offer from Landry who made it clear that he was going to pursue her.

While Barrett is used to getting what and whoever he wants, Alison is fiercely independent and determined to never let another man get close enough to break her heart. Barrett finds himself in completely new territory, wanting a woman who doesn’t give in to his demands instantly.

As Barrett tries to win his campaign and be true to himself and his beliefs, he also tries to win Alison’s heart. As much as Alison tries to convince herself that she doesn’t need a man, she finds herself falling for Barrett and has to decide if what she feels for him is worth the risk as it isn’t just her feelings she has to consider, it’s her son Huxley’s too.

I really enjoyed book 1 of the Landry Family and l look forward to reading the rest of the series when they’re released. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a light hearted romance with a strong female and a male character you can’t help but adore from the start, even when he makes mistakes.

I was so looking forward to reading this book, it’s nice to read a romance with a little politics involved. Who doesn’t love a man who is running for an office.

“Married to my college sweetheart, a newly minted judge in Albuquerque, we went to balls and galas and swearings-in ceremonies often. It was magical time in my life, before the magic wore off and everything exploded right in my face.”

This is the story of Barrett Landry aka mayor of Savannah who is running for governor of Georgia. Then we have Alison Baker who is rebuilding her life with her son Huxley in a town with her family now. It’s not been easy for Alison since she left her ex. Then she meets Barrett a function is working for as a waitress. I loved the chemistry between these two and it was off the charts at times. I loved how these two wasn’t looking for love, but found in each other even though Alison had a hard time with it from the start. In this story you get the drama, a really good storyline with some very sexy HOT scenes. I loved the secondary characters in this book. I can’t wait for the other brothers to get their story next. Okay, one of my favorite parts is the fruit scene LOVED it.

“How can you be so calm?” Ali whispers. “Aren’t you dying to know?” “Usually I am. But you know what?” I pull her onto my lad and lock my hands around her waist. “I’m not. Because either way, I’m going to be fine.”

I look forward to seeing Adriana Locke does next. This is truly a five star read for me. I can’t wait to read Lincoln story next…

Barrett Landry, the Mayor of Savannah, has it all power, wealth, good looks, and all the women he could ever want.

Alison is a woman who is rebuilding a life for her and her son Huxley away from the spotlight of her past. Her first and only priority is her son. She is a woman working two jobs and going to school to cement their future.

Alison and Barrett meet at a fundraiser for his campaign for Governor, and when her boss accuses her of being too friendly with the attendees and threatens her job, Barrett comes to her rescue. They take a walk and talk, but Alison keeps him at a distance, the last thing she wants is to get involved with someone in the spotlight. (been there, done that, not going to repeat it)

Can Barrett convince her to spend time with him privately away from the spotlight, or does Alison keep him at arm's length, afraid of a repeat performance of her past? You will have to read it to find out.

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next story in this series. Adriana has written a great story with very well developed Characters. You will fall in love with Barrett and his brothers and sisters who you will get to know better in future books.

Barrett Landry has my Vote! A definite 5 Plus Star Read

I devoured this book and absolutely loved it. Sway is shooting to the top of my list as one of my favorite reads of the year and probably even favorite ever. Adriana has a wonderful way with words and creating these amazing stories with characters and a storyline that keep you drawn in from start to finish. You feel like you are right there with the characters, living the story with them. I'm a sucker for a story with a child and I have to say, Huxley is one of the coolest kids ever. He reminds me so much of my own son. He's so funny and has unwavering loyalty to his mother Alison. And Alison! She's such a strong woman and I really admire her determination to build a great life for her and her son. Alison and Barrett's relationship developed at the perfect pace and I loved seeing Barrett go from this ladies' man to ONE lady's man. They have such a great connection and chemistry together. This book made me laugh, cry, frustrated, swoon, and had just the right amount of suspense to keep you guessing as to what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed getting a glimpse into the other members of the Landry family and am looking forward to reading more about the other Landry siblings.

Adriana Locke is a great love storyteller. I already can not wait for the next book about further siblings. It will be an incredible series!

About the plot: The Mayor of Savannah, Barrett Landry is a full package. He is this, handsome and charming politician who is on the run to the gubernatorial election. Everyone wants a piece of him or gain something from him. He is determined, but tired of deceitful and devious political campaign.

Alison Baker is a single mother. She focuses full attention on her ten years old son, Huxley and on building a stable and happy life for them. She works at restaurant during the day and go to school for journalism, also has a second job in catering. On one of these catering job at the event for the campaign, she catches the eye of the mayor.

Barrett would like to know better this fascinating woman, but Alison, despite a strong attraction, do not intend to bend. She was married to a high-ranking judge in Albuquerque, and she knows perfectly well what its means being associated with such a man. It once ended up bad for her and she will not take the risk for the second time, no matter how much would like to.

For Barrett, this also is not the best time for new romances. But he found something in her, what gives him peace of mind and balance, and is willing to risk everything to take a chance with her. Therefore he is not going to give up and performs a spectacular chase after her.

Final thoughts: This book is a fantastic surprise. Smile, excitement, shock, melting heart. These are just some of the emotions that accompanied me while reading.

I finally read about a hero who fights for a woman by all means. He stands firmly against everyone and everything. And also an independent woman who does not give up after the first look and nice words. I absolutely love this moment of the story, in which she is strong and independent, and he have to work hard that she took a risk in him. It is thanks to her independence and his intensity that they create such magnificent heroes.

Of course, not everything went smoothly and waiting for them many potholes. It was all very realistic. From the beginning, the relationship was fantastically built in a very real way. Everything had its purpose and order. They have wonderful chemistry and funny testing and innuendo create a successful storyline. And it’s sexy as hell. This already famous scene with grapes! Holly Hell! How? What!? Wow.

What always stands out in the best books are not less best secondary characters. Main, secondary, all have their great role in this story. Mr. Mayor has a real hit siblings. Star baseball, check! Sexy military man, check! Serious bussnesmen, check! Stylish and generous sister, check! Her twin artistic and crazy sister, check! Check, check, check! This book has everything! Before you go crazy big plus for the introduction characters in progressive way. We know some more, others less, thanks to this there is no chaos. Well done! This family promises incredible series.

And I have not even begun to write about Huxley! Each scene with Huxley guaranteed a hit. My heart melts, I laugh to tears. This little guy is perfect! His interactions with Barrett are priceless.

Adriana goes high up in the list of my favorite authors. With a clear conscience I can say that it is another very successful book of her. It could be the imperfect/perfect family. It could be Huxley. It could be this wonderful romantic plot. And it could simply be these grapes… And certainly it all together meant that this book is excellent. Can I ask for another faster? There is no pressure at all!

If I’d recommend? Yes. Especially if you like family stories with lots of great characters and captivating romantic plot.

"Speak as you find."

I absolutely love this advice, and it's a lesson that's pivotal to learn in all areas of life but especially when someone is in the public eye, where things get twisted and manipulated.

In the political realm, it's difficult to speak openly and honestly because there is always someone waiting to spin things any way they want to in order to paint a much different picture than the one the candidate wants to show. For much of his political career, Barrett Landry has been led by his team to do whatever it takes to win, even if that means going against his principles and not going with his gut. But a chance encounter with Alison Baker, a woman who knows first hand what can happen in the smoke and mirrors world of politics, opens Barrett's eyes to what it means to truly take risks and have the guts to speak much more than half-truths, accomplishing the things he perceives as important not what's important to the people who try to tell him what to do.

Alison Baker is a strong woman who's had to build herself back up after being put through the wringer and destroyed by her ex and his numerous political scandals. She's extremely hesitant to start anything with Barrett no matter how much she wants him, which makes sense because she has no desire to be thrust into the media spotlight again. But even though I completely understood Alison's fears, I'll admit that I did get kind of frustrated with her actions at times because she could tell from the start that Barrett is nothing like her ex-husband; in fact, he shows on numerous occasions how much he wants her in his life. But Adriana Locke does such a great job of exploring Alison's fears and explaining them so thoroughly that regardless of my frustration, I couldn't fault Alison for wanting a bit of distance and time to think...I think the romantic in me just wanted her to let go of her past and live in the present with Barrett but clearly Alison's concerns were seared into her heart and soul, forcing her to be cautious, especially for her son.

Adriana Locke not only illustrates the effect bad press and the power of the media have on politics, but she also gives readers a behind the scenes look at how manipulative and backhanded the political world truly is. With all of the double dealing and greasing of palms that take place, it's a wonder if political leaders ever truly stand on their own principles or if they simply take the positions they're told to in order to get the votes or the backing they need. And with the state of the race for the presidency, I couldn't help but align various issues in Sway to the reality of today's presidential election.

Barrett and Alison's story is a fantastic start to Locke's new Landry Family Series, and I have to say that I'm looking forward to getting Linc's story and seeing what lucky lady wins his heart.

Oh, and by the way, I'd absolutely vote for Barrett Landry!

Well, Adriana Locke has gone and done it again, written a book that I have fallen completely in love with. Every time she releases a new book, I think, 'Oh, my gosh, this is my favorite, I just love it so much!' And then, she writes another one, and it happens all over again.

I have to say that Max Quinn from THE PERCEPTION held my heart for a very long time, with his constancy, and his sweet Southern sexiness. What wasn't to like? But, folks, I've gotta tell you, Adriana has written a man that will completely give Max a run for his money, because Barrett Landry is here, and, oh, my word.

Barrett Landry, mayor of Savannah, GA, is everything you'd expect a successful Southern politico to be. Rich, sexy, a true ladies' man, he's enjoying all of the perks of his position, and living a pretty sweet life. Alison Baker, once married to a powerful man herself, knows what a life in the spotlight is like, and has come away with less-than-positive experience. Now all she wants is to make a good life for her son and herself, far from the notoriety that once followed her. When a chance encounter brings Barrett and Alison into each others' sphere, life as they each know it takes an unexpected turn.

SWAY is thoughtfully crafted, and instilled with Adriana's signature focus on family. Each member of the Landry family, along with Alison's family and friends, bring personality, humor, and, most importantly, unswerving support, to both Barrett and Alison, and Huxley, Ali's son, had my heart from his first scene. There are plenty of distinctly unlikable characters, as well, which just adds to the political intrigue that runs throughout the story.

I am absolutely in love with this story, and with the relationship between Barrett and Ali. He is completely swoon-worthy, made even more so by his utter commitment to making things work with Ali. Although the differences between them say that they shouldn't, the two of them just work, and it's pure pleasure experiencing it along with them.

"What if this is all wrong?" I ask.
"What if it's all right?"
"What if we mess this up a million different ways?"
"What if we nail it every way we go at it?" he smirks.
"What if you decide you hate me?"
He laughs, kissing me on the nose.
"What if you decide you're going to love me forever? Because that, Ms. Baker, is what I'm going to make sure happens."

Seeing Barrett aspire to become the man that he truly is at heart, and watching the relationship between the two of them unfold, moved SWAY firmly into one of the top spots of my favorite Adriana books, and one of the most enjoyable I've read recently. 5 sweet, sexy, 'I love a man that knows what he wants' stars for this one. I cannot wait for the rest of the Landrys to get their turn, and will have each book at the top of my TBR.

After reading Wherever it Leads, I knew that all Adriana Locke books had to move up on my “To-Be-Read” list. So, when a new series was announced, I didn’t even need to read the synopsis. With no hesitation I dived straight in and in one sitting, I was able to witness a beautifully moving love story. Filled with love, laughs and lots of Landry’s there was nowhere else I wanted to be.

Set on the backdrop of a political campaign we meet Alison Baker and Barrett Landry. In two different stages of their lives, their unlikely paths cross and an instant connection is made. Working at a political event, Alison bumps into Barrett Landry, the Mayor of Savannah and candidate for Governor; he’s sexy, funny and so much more than she ever thought he could be. As enamored as she is with him, it seems Barrett can’t get her off his mind either. But as Barrett pounces with determination, Alison is adamant that they will never work.

Perfectly balanced, Adriana Locke delivers the story in dual perspectives. Continuing with her ability to break characters out of the expected clichés, Locke brings to life a leading man that has heart, soul and a whole lot of love to give. With no cockiness, arrogance or self-importance in sight, it is easy to understand why Alison Baker’s walls break down for him. As she juggles motherhood, school and employment, Alison Baker is my version of a real life wonder woman. Making ends meet and determined to do it herself, you can’t help but be proud of the woman she is and inevitably, we see why Barrett Landry wants nothing more, than this refreshingly beautiful woman in his life.

With insecurities surfacing, truths being questioned and the perfect amount of drama, Adriana Locke successfully captures your heart. Having you invested in both the love story and the politics, she showcases a great collection of secondary characters. Giving extra spotlight to Lincoln Landry and Huxley Baker, Adriana Locke ensures that they serve their purpose, in showing the importance of family. As each character manages to capture a piece of your heart, Sway is the perfect cornerstone for this new series, You will laugh, you will smile and you will cry, but above all else you will want more.

Sway took me on the best emotional roller coaster ever and has truly left me speechless! I loved that this book felt like Adriana but at the same time was completely different then her previous work! Barrett and Alison were absolute perfection as characters and each page kept me wanting more!

I love Barrett! I love that he is perfectly imperfect! Yes, he is gorgeous and powerful but what really spoke to my heart was his imperfections. He has doubts and fears just like everyone else! For me he was a more refined Alpha! Yes, he could be crazy hot and possessive but his position of power often gave him opportunities to handle things in other ways so it felt a more "refined". There were moments where it felt more real and authentic and I found myself maybe being able to believe in more in a "real world" setting. I love that he made mistakes along the way, that he stumbled at times but he always learned from them. Now, to be with a man like Barrett and last you are going to need a woman who is strong and opinionated with a sense of class that comes from just within her and not "who" she is. That is exactly what we got with Alison.

Alison was perfection and I love the fact she didn't just call for Barrett. Yes, she might have been attracted to him but she was so strong her convictions, in her instinct to protect Huxley, that she for me was exactly what being a good mom is all about! I don't want to give any spoilers but all I will say is that this is a book that you don't want to miss! Adriana has once again hit it out of the park and I promise you that you will want to know that Barrett and Alison are all about!!! #voteforlandry #getgraped

So.. My vote for new BBF??? Barrett Landry!! Wow. This book had everything. Snarky ex-lovers, backstabbing politicians, powerful family dynamics and a new love between two amazing people.

Barrett is smooth, smart and calculating. Alison is a single mother trying to right all of the wrongs in her life for herself and her son. When these two meet the chemistry between them explodes.

I am absolutely certain this book will rank off the charts. The absolutely flawless written book is about making decisions for the right reasons, and proving undivided worthiness in all that you do. Barrett Landry has choices to make, but Alison is unsure where she fits in his world. Will these decisions cost Barrett more than he's willing to lose? I implore you to read this book to decide what you think. I promise you it's worth it!

I received an ARC for an honest review. Completely worth the 5***** rating.

Sway is Adriana’s best book so far! Barrett definitely has my vote!!

Barrett is in politics and doesn’t really do love and relationships. Alison is a single mother who has been burned in the past. The 2 of them meet and can’t forget each other- even if they want to. They both have a lot of decisions to make in deciding if they want to move forward with things. Barrett must not only decide if he is ready to be in a relationship, but also if he should agree to campaign ideas the people want or stand up for what he believes in. Ali must decide if she can open her heart up again to a man in the public spotlight and what is best for her and her son. Will they decide love is worth it all?

I loved Sway!! Barrett and Alison captured my heart! The entire book is well written and the dual point of view nailed it! Barrett and Alison have chemistry that is off the charts. Hello, can you say grapes? I was so rooting for everything to work out for them and for them both to get the happiness they deserve.

There are so many great characters in this book! Barrett comes from a large family and all of his siblings are great. Every single one should get their own story. Lola is Alison’s best friend. She’s completely inappropriate in a lot of what she says but she’s an amazing best friend and she’s a riot.

Sway is a book about life, love, family, letting others in, and taking a chance on love. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book in the series. I hear it’s about Lincoln. Another hottie. I can’t wait to read more about him, his baseball career and the rest of the Landry family in the next book! Well done Adriana!!

If asked, I would tell you that SACRIFICE by Adriana Locke is by far my favorite that she has written. I mean, Crew Gentry people! Well now I'm going to have to do some re-arranging. This book grabbed me and hooked me and would not let go. I was talking about it during break time, I was sneaking tidbits during work time and I stayed up and finished it all in one day.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out what it was that made this so wonderful, and I think of all the things, the bottom line is the writing makes this outstanding. Ms. Locke has crafted a world that has musty old Southern "royalty", baseball, little boys, a strong willed single mom, hot mayor, intrigue and politics. It is chuck full of family and sense of duty. What happens when we choose to do what is right instead of what is expected of us? In the end, family has our back always. The rest of the world can pass judgement how they see fit, but family keeps us grounded.

Now it also helps that Barrett Landry is a good man and once his head gets screwed on straight by Alison, his actions will make your heart melt.

Barrett: "I typically stay in complete control of situations, but this little vixen in the form of an innocent mommy, has me whipped into a mess."

The rest of the Landry family also bring flavor to the story and I look forward to seeing them each find their HEA.

So Sacrifice is going to stay in it's own column of favorite reads. Sway, and I suspect the rest of this series, will just start their own special little favorite book list. Read this one!

Sway is the latest release by Adriana Locke. As of right now, it's a standalone but it's book one of her new Landry Family Series. Book two will be releasing later this year.

Alison Baker is a single mother, working two jobs and going to school to better the lives of her and her son Huxley. She's not looking for love, but trying to survive the hand that life has dealt her. When Barrett Landry comes crashing into her life, she's finding it hard to resist him and his Southern charm.

"Barrett Landry in person? It's almost enough to make you high."

Barrett Landry is the hotshot mayor of Savannah, GA. He's known for being a playboy but also doing his job well. He can't resist Alison and really doesn't want to. He knows Alison and Huxley would make a great addition to his life and family and will stop at nothing to convince her of the same.

"She's not another woman in my life that I won't care if I see tomorrow or not. She's the woman in my life."

Adriana, I absolutely adore your writing. With each release, your words mature and always have great meaning. I'm not and never have been a single mother, but I felt such a connection with Alison and Huxley. I love a heroine that's strong and confident and knows what she wants in her life. Adriana gives that to us with Alison. Barrett is the perfect blend of swoon and alpha and I couldn't have asked for more. The Landry Family series shows so much promise for character growth and even more steam. I'm really looking forward to Lincoln Landry's book at the end of the year!

Sway is an intriguing and entertaining political romance (a first for me). Ms. Locke does a great job at pulling the reader into Barrett's stress from the political campaign and the growing intensity of feelings between him and Alison. The push and pull of emotions is just the right mix for the reader: not too over-the-top; not too bland. Add in the perfect sexy factor, and you've got a well-rounded, enjoyable book.

The author's character development in this new series was stellar. I became instantly wrapped up in the story and the main characters. Barrett is totally swoon-worthy. His transformation from manwh*re to family man will steal your heart. Alison is a sweet, devoted mother you can't help but love instantly. And Huxley is an absolute doll and everything a child his age should be.

Not only did Ms. Locke do an excellent job with the main characters in this book, but she also gave the reader the perfect dose of the side characters with books of their own coming out in the future, enticing the reader to want to continue reading. I know I'm hooked.

It may put me in the minority, but the only thing I didn't really like about the book was the grape scene. I guess sexy fruits just don't do it for me. It wasn't enough to affect my review, though, and the rest of the scene was HOT!

I highly recommend this book. It earned all 5 stars. I can't wait for more from the Landry Family Series.
