An excellent series! This series may not create the emotional investment in the characters that I normally require for a 5 star review, but this series makes up for it by delivering a character in superhero style. If you like hero stories, like Thor, Superman, Spiderman, etc. (With a near immortal and near invincible main character,) you will love this series. It's refreshing to be released from the emotional heaviness and massive drama found in books like Twilight. You read this series to find out how the character wins this time, and what hilarious things are done and said. 5 stars, and I will be reading anything else this author releases.

This series continues to be well written and to develop on the previous books in the series, without, I think necessarily requiring you to read them to follow the plot. There are a lot of thematic similarities with this series and Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series. As the store predicted for me, if you like one you will like the other.

Jim Butcher introduced me to Urban Fantasy. Kevin Hearne has cemented my belief that the genre isn't as useless as I had initially thought.
I'm particularly fond of the irreverent and amusing conversations between Atticus & Oberon.
The action is entertaining and the characters fascinating. The latest instalment isn't quite as good as its predecessors, but is still well worth a read.

Except perhaps for the first book of the series, the Iron Druid chronicles are certainly not recommended for those with strong religious beliefs. To me this aspect is immaterial because all "fantasy" genre stories may at one point or another offend true believers. Hearne's stories have no impact on my beliefs and the reason I enjoyed his books is because they are witty and written with a delightful - yet preposterous for some - sense of humor.

Another excellent follow up in the Iron Druid series, I loved the book. As usual there are elements, of humour, action, mythology and different pantheons blended together to create a world that seems to exist right outside my door.
This is some of the very best action fantasy out there, and I look forward to the next book.

Kevin continues to build, grow and breathe more life into the world of our hero the Iron Druid. Obviously drawing on numerous sources and having a great mind to pull them together in an engaging and intelligent way the story unfolds in a very enticing way. My only regret is having to wait for the next book... much like telling Oberon he will have those sausages... tomorrow.

I just finished reading this book a few days ago. I've really liked this series overall and they are all good reads, but I feel like this book really didn't go anywhere. The time flew as I read it, but after Granuaile became a full fledge druid, I looked down to see how much of my book was complete and I had only 10% of it left. That event alone took almost all the book and I felt cheated. I also thought that the final fight seemed a little easy compared to other fights in the previous books and I was hoping it would be a little more epic then it was. Overall, I did really like this book and will continue reading the series, I was just looking for more plot to be covered. P.S. i have read all the other books and will write reviews for them briefly

so much action, I love love love granuale!!!! Packed from cover to cover with action and suspense!!! I am in love with these books. The clever and witty talk between the characters is so much fun, I don't think I have read any book with dialogue like in these books. I just can't put these books down

I am actually always surprised that this series never gets old. Every book has something new and interesting. With a lot of series the first book is good but the later ones seem to be lacking, not with the Iron Druid. I know the series will end at some point and that day will be a sad day.
If you have not read any of this series, you owe it to yourself to read it, you won't be disappointed.

Sorry to put this on here, but Another great author, fun to read, so far Kindle only as far as I am aware!

It's nice to find a writer with enough imagination to allow a relationship to develop in a story without immediately using the girl/boy friend as the immediate target of the villian and having them immediately disappear. I like that Hearne did not succumb to the easy cop-out and allowed the charecters to work together.

Kevin Hearne is a genius of language. The entire Iron Druid series is clever, witty, and funny and Trapped is no exception. The characters are robust and entertaining while retaining their depth. The story is vivid and imaginative with so much intrigue. I can't wait for the next book. I'm definitely hooked!

I really thought this was series was just going to end as a trilogy, so you can imagine my surprise when I found out there was going to be a fourth, fifth and, yes, even a sixth book. While the main character isn't as engaging as Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden, the plot moves quickly without being "fluff" and the dialogue is witty and frequently humorous.

There is just nothing that compares to Kevin Hearn's "Iron Druid Chronicles" series! The series is witty, tongue-in-cheek, and action-packed! Kevin makes every book in the series an enthralling page-turner. His writing is so vivid I find myself dreaming of Atticus and Oberon and the myriad of adventures they face! I would recommend this series to ANYone that appreciates good fiction!

The Iron Druid Chronicles is an excellent series and my only dissappointment when finishing this novel was that the next one doesn't come out for a year. These are the kind of books that you don't want to put down until you have finished reading every last page.

While reading books on my kindle I love to highlight phrases or scenes that really come off the page for me. With the Iron Druid series I want to highlight EVERYTHING and this book was no different. In fact, the very first page got me going and that is just an awesome experience to have a book that gets me from the very first page. I continue to laugh out loud at Oberon (and plan on naming my next dog that, hopefully it talks) and Atticus, which gives my husband the opportunity to think I am insane ;). I really enjoyed how Granuaile got more commentary and action in this book and hope to see more of her badassness (yep its a word I promise) in the next books. Keep them coming because I don't think I will ever get tired of this trio!

If you like the urban fantasy genre you will like this series. I recommend you start at the beginning ( book 1) and follow along with Atticus O'Sullivan and his apprentice in their adventures. I have enjoyed reading all books in this series. Kevin Hearne keeps the tales fast paced and interesting.

My Favorite series of all time. Absolutely love this entire set and it hasnt gotten old or boring as so many epics tend to do at the 4th or 5th book. I also love the fact that the author doesnt constantly re-iterate previous information from past novels. Its like he is actually writing it for those of us that have read all the prior books. I hate reading half a books worth of rehashed knowledge. All aroung a 5 star novel and series.

Kevin Hearne is a fantastic writer, anyone that hasn't read his books should give them a shot, his fresh take on myths, legends, religion, and magic are really awesome. This book Trapped his latest work was superb from beginning to end. Kevin's characters are relatable, fun, charismatic, and his story lines are fresh, new and just all around a good time. Keep them coming Kevin....I am definately a huge fan of these books.

I eat these books up! An interesting twist and interweaving of several mythologies. A really fun read, the Irish tradition of getting knocked about and then fighting your way out against all odds is prevalent along with some irrereverant humor. The characters, right down to man's best friend, make this series pop off the page for a fun ride.

Wonderful escapist fantasy book. Let's you learn about mythology while being entertained. Being a dog person I see an amazing similarity between what Hearne says Oberon is saying and what I think my dogs are saying and thinking.

I liked this book slightly better than Tricked and significantly better than Hammered (where things went just a *bit* off the rails). Solid writing, great humor, and further down the trail of the Iron Druid no longer being the last druid on the planet. Keep them coming, Kevin!

We finally see Atticus get to initiate his apprentice, meet more Dannan, and watch how they deal with new problems from the Greeks. We get to see some interesting developments and a lot of new complications in this book. The next one should be fun given where this one left off.

Kevin Hearne is a really entertaining writer, and the audiobook is a blast. Oberon's commentary, particularly voiced, is LOL funny. And the cast of characters is really entertaining to anyone who knows anything about the various pantheons introduced... not to mention there's an endless supply of new material when he can use all of them.

I have really enjoyed all of the Iron Druid books and this one does not disappoint. It ties up several loose ends and creates a few more "entanglements". This book also maintains the light hearted note while still being able to nail down the serious points required to develop deeper characters.

The Iron Druid Chronicles just get better and better The best part of Trapped? More Oberon!!! We get to know Granuaile more better through the process of becoming a true Druid. Funny, fast-paced engaging storyline and characters - it just doesn't get much better than this!

Not many authors whose work I will pre-order, but Hearne's are right in there. Literate, superbly researched, well plotted and frequently amusing. And yes, I've already ordered book 6. Right up there with Butcher and Parker. Sad day when we lost Spenser, Hawk and Susan.

I would have never purchased this series, if it hadnt continually popped up in my recommended for me list. I bought the first one and whizzed through the others. This book continues the same quality as the others.
The next one is on my wish list.

I waited impatiently for this next installment and then read the book in less than two days. I love this series.
Kevin Hearne does a great job providing fun, interesting characters with plenty of personality. And who doesn't love Oberon? Funniest Hound in fantasy lit.

Thoroughly enjoyable, well-written and well-researched books with an interesting premise. I am more than happy to give Kevin Hearne a 5 star rating in addition to purchasing everything he has published. I hope many others discover the fun adventures of The Iron Druid and a very entertaining cast of characters. However, the reader must jump through a mandatory hoop if you choose to leave a rating. Star ratings are not acceptable on their own. No, any star rating is booby-trapped with the requirement of a written review, further weighted with a minimum word count, no less! Write a review or no stars from you. This is a tad bit bit onerous for the buyer who enjoyed reading the book and respects the author enough to pause and tap some stars. The demand for a written review effectively prevented me from posting the 5 star rating that might encourage others to enjoy an excellent book. This is ultimately unfair to Mr. Hearn, undoubtedly depriving him of many well-deserved 5 star ratings. Guilt eventually caught up with me, so herein lies not only my enthusiastic support of this book, but a bonus review of a misguided policy: to the Kindle folks or whoever came up with this Either/Or toll: lighten up on the needy/greedy gate keeping, already.

I finished all the books released so far and wanted more. So I re-read the entire series. I love Atticus and am happy to see the continuation of the story line. I enjoy the mix of all the different mythologies and I can't wait for the next book.

I have read many of his previous Iron Druid books. This one follows along the same story line, but... it seems like it's missing something. Still it has a good story ,with great occasional humor and I liked it enough to probably read the next book in the
series.

They're a little quirky, but very enjoyable. To me it seems like a fairly unique universe Mr. Hearne has created. The repartee between Aticus and Oberon is priceless. The books would be worth reading just for that alone. Can't wait for the next one.

A great read in a wonderful series, with a cliffhanger ending. Add a beer and pretzels and you have a pretty good weekend's entertainment. Kevin Hearne always comes through with exciting action, genuine characters, and just enough humour to make a book hard to put down. Keep them coming Kevin.

Love this ongoing story. Well written, fast paced and seemingly well researched. Now skip the European gods and lets tangle with the real nastys like the South Americans and the sneaky ones like the North American Native gods- other than Coyote.

What to say without spoilers? New species and old friends make their appearance and an apprenticeship comes to an end. Granuaile lives up to her potential and becomes a serious badass and Atticus makes some new enemies. I can't wait for book 6!
