Each book of the Rachel Morgan series leaves one wanting to read another one in the series immediately! A delightful, fun, entertaining, thought provoking series ... can't wait for the next one! Thank you, Ms. Harrison ....

I have read every book in Kim Harrison series about Rachel Morgan; a witch who was 'saved' by returning her closer to the demon roots of witches. Especially fun: I live in suburban Cincinnati where the books are set. My only wish: the store or the author stop numbering the books and it's hard to figure out what is next!

Love the book, Love the series. Answers questions that had been stiring in the under current but the books main mystery is still unanswered which I personally think is great. You dont always get all the answers when you expect them and thats what makes this series fun. Kims a masterful story teller and has a way of making fantasical characters seem like people you know. If Kim keeps writing them Ill keep reading them.

Kim Harrison is my favorite writer on the market right now. I buy all of her books, but her Rachel Morgan stories
are my favorites. Constant action and terrific character
interactions keep you constantly reading so you don't want
to put the book down. I would recommend her books to anyone who wants a well written, action packed read.

Kim Harrison writes extremely enjoyable fantasy/horror and this latest installment of the Hollows series just as much fun as the previous five, while adding more twists to the emerging story of Rachel's true nature. This story has great pace, good character focus and amusing dialogue and I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Once one allows themselves to fully enter the world of escapism Kim Harrison offers with this series, it becomes more and more fun. I am enjoying reading this series and watching all the characters grow.

~ WARNING, POSSIBLE SPOILERS! ~
I have been a huge fan of this series since its very beginning. I find Rachel a believable character with flaws, weaknesses and strengths, who captures the reader in a way no other character ever could. But I have to say I was slightly disappointed in this installment in the series. I was really cheering for Ivy and Rachel to get together. It would have been nice to have a lesbian couple in an urban fantasy series of this caliber, for people such as myself. But as much as I like Kim, obviously she couldn't get over her own prejudices over such matters. After all, the main character in a book is more or less a mirror of the author, no? And the whole excuse why Rachel could not continue to try with Ivy seemed a bit rushed through, unreal, and all in all patched together from out of nothing. At least to me. Too bad, the relationship really had potential.
That aside, the rest of the book is excellent. The story had me turning the pages faster than I've ever done before. And I really, really enjoyed the ending. Wonder where that will lead?
I give the book as a whole 5 stars, but the Rachel/Ivy resolution 1 star. So overall, 3 stars. And I am sad to say that this is no longer my favorite series. It's just that the intensity of Rachel/Ivy's relationship was what I liked most about these books, and now... Well, the situation is more or less resolved, and not in the way I was hoping for. I'm still going to buy the next book, and am pretty sure that I will enjoy it immensely, just not as much as I would have had Rachel ended up with Ivy.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Rachel is daring and although she might be afraid she still does what she has too to keep those that she loves safe. With Ivy and Jenks to back her up when she gets the job done.

Kim used to be a wonderful author...then she decided to get political and publicly insult half her readership. If I could get my money back from all her books I previously purchased I would as while I agree with her right to free speech, we also have rights as consumers not to support her or her views.

I got the newest book in the RACHEL MORGAN series yesterday, could NOT put it down until I finished it (just now), and all I can say is "BRAVO!" Ms. Harrison does nothing but get better and better the more she writes. This book is NO exception. Typical Harrison fare, with more twists and turns than a corkscrew - and a COMPLETELY unexpected, crafty ending that not only surprizes but also delights. Ms. Harrison is a terrific storyteller, with characters that are also people - people with problems, people with joys and sorrows, and, most of all, people that are likeable, loveable and interesting. I was so pleased to learn more about Rachel's background and family (THAT is one of the surprizes that I was talking about), and I laughed myself silly at her crafty trapping of her biggest enemy. So typically Rachel, it isn't even funny!
This book is a wonderful read, and Kim Harrison is a great writer. I only wish that Laurell Hamilton had Ms. Harrison's deft touch, sense of humour and narrative capabilites. Maybe, in the future, Ms. Harrison's books with have that sort of dark and unhappy edge to them; at this point, I don't see that happening. Thank the Goddess! THANK you, Ms. Harrison!
