This was one deep storyline. Friends to Lovers sure but the depth of the fight to get there is what made this story enjoyable. Graham secrets and Lauren fight to prove her devotion and get answers was just phenomenal. I don't know which mind thought it but watching Graham accept his worth regardless of a diagnosis was genius. I wanted another ending but will settle for what I received.

Graham is encouraging, sensitive, and protective. Lauren possesses a fierce loyalty.
Childhood friendships, a betrayal and a revelation brings forth strengths and shows what LOVE is all about.
Collaboration of two authors with distinct writing styles

Heartwarming and inspiring story about Lauren, loving, naïve, incredibly brilliant. beautiful, loving, and loyal friend to Graham. He can be described as handsome, professional football quarterback for the Denver football league, always been loyal to Lauren and her brother. Lovely story about friends who start out as only friends but end up as so much more despite Graham's medical problems and Lauren's insecurity and issues because she finished school at such a young age. They both overcome so much and help each other to become the best they can be. Cannot wait to read the next in series which is Tye's story.

I absolutely love both authors, so having both write a book together was a huge treat for me. It was amazing how well they worked together, because it was so seamless that I couldn't tell that it was written by two separate authors. I loved how you really got a sense of the long friendship history of Lauren and Graham, and you were so happy to see them get together. I also loved Lauren's Dad. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Graham and Lauren grew up together and were close friends. They both had their own demons to deal with. Lauren was almost a genius and didn't have many friends. Graham had a mental disability that needed a lot of attention. He kept this a secret from Lauren for years.
Graham was engaged to a model but it was all for show. Laurens' brother Jack slept with Graham's fiance and caused some hard times between him and Hope.
This is a very interesting story that will keep you reading because you need to see what happens.
I recommend this book.

Jack and Lauren are brother and sister and Jack befriends Graham when they are really young. Lauren looks up to Graham as they are growing up. Graham has a really bad childhood. Shifted from foster home to foster home after his parents died a few years apart. Things are thrown into turmoil after Lauren witnesses something. Very good story with some twist and turns.

I liked that she was helping Graham with his school work and with his football career but I didn't like that it was his best friend who cheated with his fiancee. I liked that Graham and Lauren were friends and kept that friendship while loving each other.

The storyline was great. Both Lauren and Graham understood each other far beyond what they showed the world.
It did feel to me, a bit disjointed throughout, as there were many flashbacks to the different stages of their pasts, + the redundancy of both POVs, and their back and forth of friends or lovers as really, that ship had sailed.
It was a good read, I just didn't feel it was great.

This read was so emotional. Graham had had a hard life after his parents died, then Jack and Lauren came into his life. He found people he could trust and think of as family. He overcame so much to get where he was in the NFL.
Love this author.

This book is full of all the feels. Angst, friendship, love, steamy sex and an HEA.
I absolutely loved this one. Of course I haven’t read anything by JS Scott that I haven’t loved. ;-)
Looking forward to the next one and I’m hoping it’s about Ty.....

Well Played is an amazing pairing of two very talented authors. Graham and Lauren are two incredible characters, they are friends who become so much more. This book gives us all the feels and makes us want a second story with the incredible background characters. Looking so forward to see if Ty finds his happily ever after, and to hear more from these wonderful characters.. A five star read for us all!!!
