Kohen and Roxanne are new team mats , Kohen the seasoned professional and Roxxy the newbie and also the first female professional football player. I Hingis get completely out if hand after an accident that leaves Kohen injured and on the bench. Roxxy begins to prove herself on the field but is settling with some of the sexiest attitudes of the public and players. After a particularly bad experience with a fellow player she wonders if she should quit.
This is a well written, extremely hot, sexy read. I'm not American but followed the on field play and jargon just fine and it didn't detract from the brilliant story. Roxxy and Kohen are hot fun and just what you need to make you floret the grey winter skies.
I liked the other characters and understand that they will be getting their own stories told.
Great start to a promising series. Lane Hart hits the spot again.

Ballbuster is about Kohen and Roxanne (aka "Roxy" and the namesake of the book).

Kohen is the kicker for the Wildcats and Roxy has just been introduced to the team (via picture and lecture from the coach for no sexist comments or innappropriate touching) as the first woman to be signed by a professional football team...and Kohen's backup. Kohen is so mesmorized by Roxy's picture, he's not paying attention as he's walking to his car, Googling her, and steps right into her path as she's driving through the stadium parking lot. When she jumps out to check on him, she is completely taken with him as well.

Turns out, the hit dislocated Kohen's knee. When Roxy goes to check on him after the trainer has looked him over, they end up in a passionate kiss...that leads to some more (whew...fanning myself thinking about it). They both know they're off limits to each other, but the pull to each other is overwhelming. Then, the coach tells Kohen he will be Roxy's mentor & talks Kohen into taking Roxy as a roommate since she has nowhere to stay and guilts Roxy into it by reminding her that she hit him with her Jeep.

Will they be able to stay away from each other? Will Roxy make it as the first female professional football player? Can Kohen get over his trust issues with women? I don't give spoilers, so you'll have to get your copy and find out. It had it all: sweet romance, hot sex scenes, anger, jealousy, sad moments, funny moments, happy moments...and so much more! This is the first book in a new series from Lane Hart and I am looking forward to the next book, Perfect Spiral!

A well written story with nice storyline and plot. It has well described characters who develops nicely through the story.
I would have like less swearing. It is a bit too much for my liking. Roxy should have believed more in herself. She is the first woman to play in the NFL so that should help her in spite of the difficult past she have had both to get where she is now in the sport and with men.
Kohen is attracted to Roxy but she is literally running him over. Can he open up to such a woman who tries to steel his position?
The chemistry between the two main characters was not that captivating for me.
But an enjoyable read of a great length.

Ballbuster is a romance between two people who are not only teammates but both have emotional issues holding them back from finding true love and happiness, but somehow push past all the crap and find their way to each other.
Roxy is the first female professional football player.
Kohen is the star kicker for the Wildcats who just singed Roxy to be his back up.
They meet for the first time when Roxy hits Kohen with her car on her first day.
After the accident Roxy and Kohen keep getting thrown together and the intense attraction that they have for each other can’t be denied.
The authors writing style is fun, flirty and at times filthy, and her characters have the ability to come alive and pull you into their world. You’ll laugh with them, you’ll cry with them, you’ll be turned on with them in this amazingly seductive romance. This is hands down one of the best books that I’ve read this year and I can’t wait to read the rest of the book in the series.

It's no secret that I love Lane Hart's writing. I absolutely love the cocky cage fighter series and this book was no different! Kohen and Roxanne were amazing together! I loved all the ups and downs and how they overcame each one. She has a huge heart and forgave his trust issues several times...I love the secondary characters, Lathan is adorable,shy and super lovable, and the new drama towards the end of the book with super hot Quinton, can't wait to read his story too! I love his friendship between the couple!
I love sports romances and am a huge NFL fan so reading a book about football players and particularly kickers, which you don't see too often, was a no-brainer for me! I would highly recommend any of the Lane Hart's books, Ballbuster was a great, fun read, Sports fan or not, if you love romance, pick it up! ???

I loved this book! Recently found this author and have not been disappointed with any of her books. The story of Roxy and Kohen was unique, hilarious, snarky and heartwarming. My favorite scenes include the phone in the car, the "wordjob", the ladybugs costume, the pink mohawks, releasing the kracken and the final play of the season.

Cannot wait to read the rest of this series! Highly recommend.

I loved everything about this book. Roxy being the first female to play pro football gives this story a great twist on the sports romance, and I give bonus points to the forbidden relationship trope since they are teammates.

I felt instant attraction between Roxanne and Kohen, and all of the innocent mishaps on her part totally feed into him being (wrongly) suspicious of her motives in a way that didn't feel forced or cheezy to me as a reader. That, of course, leads to The Obstacle for this couple, and what Kohen does to beg for forgiveness brought tears to my eyes! So sweet! And I love, love, love that Kohen mostly calls her Roxanne, not Roxy. A little detail that endeared him to me even more!

Roxanne is kohen's back up
Unfortunately their first meeting doesn't go as planned when she accidentally knocks him over in the stadium car park injuring his knee.
As she's the first female to play with them it's a big deal, the players are all warned keep their hands to themselves & fill out the paperwork given so she's protected. The coach decides kohen should take her under his wing & since she has nowhere to stay & he's room in his private boat problem solved ?
The characters in this book are great the banter is all good. The story is a standalone However I believe we will be getting more from them yippe a note at the end says standby for quintons story in perfect spiral.

We know this is not easy for her being in a male dominent field and it was tough for her. So unfortunately for her she also crashes her car into the kicker for the team she was just hired in, no luck girl. Kohen is all over the place he is hot for her but doesn't trust her and he just cant figure out what he wants from her.

Kohen is placekicker and loves it finds out a girl is getting added to the team and just seeing a picture of her he wants her but keeps telling himself no he has to stay away. Well accidentally Roxanne hits Kohen in the parking lot and hurts him bad. Is Roxanne wanting his spot is she trying to hurt him on purpose? Kohen will he be able to trust Roxanne and open his heart? I loved this book it showed woman that we can be strong and be anyone we want to be! Roxanne reminded me of myself is so many ways! I absolutely loved this! I could not, for the life of me, put the book down. I am not really into football but this book was so well written and so great that it made me want to like football. There is definitely more than one story included in this and it was just great! I would definitely recommend this book and reread this all over again.

What a fantastic story. Roxeanne Benson loves her new job as back up starting Kicker for the NFL Wildcats , but putting out of action Kohen Kendricks the main Kicker is not what she planned. Knocking him over with her car is a no no. A story of instant chemistry between them, dealing with fellow team players, sex, passion, drama, laughter and so much more. The characters were interesting to gel the story together it really was that good. How a female has to fight her way to the top, stay there and deal with fellow male sportsmen is not easy. Roxeanne is a little trouper

Lane Hart's novels are never a disappointment. Ballbuster is right up there with her other novels. I immensely enjoyed reading it. The novel put a spin on typical sport romances, because it adds a female professional football player in a male dominant sport. From beginning to end I was hooked. I kind of didnt want it to end.

Another fun series from Lane Hart! The concept of having her main female character on a pro-football team was great! Loved Roxanne and how strong she was. She was funny, kind, had such strength to keep doing what she loved even though there were so many people against her. Kohen was great at making you feel sorry for him one minute and in the next making you want to punch him in his face. By the end though you'll love how he finally smartens up and becomes the guy who you want to see win Roxanne's heart.

Roxanne is the first female NFL player, and does not get off to a very good start with the team when she accidentally and injures Kohen who is also a kicker for the team. The chemistry between these two is intense, and I loved the humorous banter between them.
This is a well written book, and has a great plot. Lane never disappoints with her books at all. I recommend this authors work for all, and look forward to reading more from her.

Boy meets girl. Boy finally get girl. All the fun of Lane Hart's books and you have a happy camper, if I see books that she has written I have to one click fast.
If you want to have a fast paced, fun filled story about the great game of football, with a twist and the twist is a female kicker with a hoot of a nickname you are in for a treat.

Kohen and Roxanne heated up more than just the football field! Whew- I could not stop reading this book!
I absolutely love the game of football so I was all in on this book. However, you do not need to be a football fanatic to enjoy this hot, steamy, fun romance!
Lane Hart must have one of the best imaginations around to write characters who make the reader stay so engaged. Thanks once again, Lane. Can't wait for the needy book.

The passion & intrigue are right up there with all of Lane Harts books...I can’t quit reading one until I’m done! This book involves a football player & all the team players from preseason training camp through the season finale. Great read that I recommend from one of my favorite authors.

Lane has done it again! Ballbuster is another great book by Lane Hart. In this book you will laugh and then laugh some more. The main 2 characters chemistry is phenomenal ,they will leave you wanting more.Hoping some of the supporting characters get there own book!

This was a perfect sports romance book. The chemistry between Roxy and Kohen was off the charts. The way their relationship started out was both hilarious and the perfect set up for some drama. I enjoyed that the story did contain some of the actual sport rather than just one of the characters being a player. The other characters were fun to read as well.

I have never been disappointed by a book that Lane Hart has written and this one was no exception. I truly enjoyed this book, it had a different theme than most sports romances I have read. I love Roxy and her counterpart, they were well developed characters and I was entertained through the entire book!!

Ballbuster is a great book about a female football player --- how kicka** is that-- who just happens to appear as if she's trying to take out the males in line in front of her. Roxy has to fight hard for her name/reputation but in the end she earns everything she deserves.....on and off the field ;) this book was really a good read!

It was a really good story. It had fun, excitement and was hot. I loved the interaction between the characters. A very good storyline. I can't wait to read another of this authors books. I was pleasantly surprised by this story. It had substance and a better storyline than I expected. I liked the secondary characters of the football players that were highlighted in the book, and I look forward to reading additional stories in this series.

This was a really good story. Kohen and Roxy have both been hurt in the past and don't trust easily. This was a really good story about overcoming your preconceptions about people and seeing them for who they really are.

Kohen is the starting kicker. Roxanne is the female NFL player, also a kicker. Kohen is mesmerized by Roxanne, so much so, that their first meeting starts on shaky ground. Will they be enemies, friends, lovers, or just teammates. Time will tell.

I really liked the book except for how forgiving Roxy was... seriously Kohen was an ass a few you need and Roxy was like "that's ok" grrrrrrr! Good story line. Funny! Great characters.. I can't wait for the next book!

Roxy is the first female NFL kicker and she ends up oh Kohen's team. Roxy doesn't start off on the right foot with Kohen, though. Kohen doesn't trust women, but will Roxy tear down those walls???
And ohhh I can't wait for Quinton's story!!!

I volunteered Regis Arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading the story about Roxanne, AKA Roxy, and Kohen. Roxy is a young woman who's been selected to play for a professional football team on. She will be the first ever professional football player. So a lot is riding on her shoulders and she has a lot of opposition as well. Kohen happens to be playing for the Wildcats and has been informed that he is a new teammate. Unfortunately when he's leaving the stadium that day he become stracted and walks out in front of Roxy's car and hits him. Coach feels that it would be beneficial for the two of them to get to know each other, since he will be training her, any off to drive to training camp together on the way to his house for his supplies they make a bet saying she can't keep her hands on the wheel the whole entire time, in order to distract her he sets his phone on vibrate between her legs. Lucky her Roxy she when's the bet as well as in some excitement. Once they're in training camp things get crazy when one of her teammates attempts to assault her and threatens her. Due to the addendum that they signed before training camp he is released from the team but threatens to tell everyone about what she did to Kohen. The chemistry heats up between the two as they continue through the season and live together as roommates. Unfortunately both Roxy and Cohen have been hurt in the past and are having a hard time trusting. Imagine they're surprised when pictures show up on the media of them in a compromising position. Due to the addendum Roxy is afraid that Kohen will be let go and he is afraid that she did it on purpose to get him cut from the team. Follow them as they work through their struggles of trust and hurt. Watch as the surprises once they feel they can trust each other and how they really feel about each other. I definitely recommend reading the story. Characters are great, storyline is fun and holds your attention.

Kohen Hendricks is the star football kicker. Roxanne Benson is his backup. However, after an accident involving these two, Roxanne becomes the start kicker and Kohen finds himself at physical therapy! Roxanne is the first woman in professional football and the pressure she's in is very much.

Their first encounter is hilarious; I was laughing through it all :-P The physical attraction between them is instant and their relationship is one of love and hate! I laughed so hard at the car scene when they were driving to training camp. Roxanne is feisty and gives as good as she gets! Kohen was really unfair to her at times and judged her without knowing all the facts.

The epilogue was perfect and wrapped up the story beautifully! I'm definitely going to read the next books as well!!

Book one of the Playing Dirty series, can be read as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. I loved this book! I loved both Roxy and Kohen. Roxy is the first female football player in the NFL and she has had to work really hard to get there. She has two rules 1) never date a teammate 2) don't let anyone see you cry. Getting signed to the NFL is not the end of her struggles. Her first day she hits and injures teammate Kohen. Kohen has serious trust issues after being burned by his former fiance. He now has rules of his own on dating to insure he doesn't get hurt. Kohen is attracted to Roxy like he's never been to anyone, but he also believes she could be out to get his job as the starting place kicker. Good secondary characters, I can't wait for their books. I highly recommend!

A determined woman (Roxy) ready to conquer a sport totally considered for men only. A man (Khoen) hard to like in many ways. This book has a rollercoaster of emotions. But wit a definate HEA. I have never read any books by this author. But after this book, I will definitely follow with great interest in the next book.
