Dirty Bet

I volunteered to read this book for a review. Interesting to again be reminded of how business minded Billionaires have to work day and night, plus at times will run over others to achieve their goals. With this novel even when someone has reached that point they find that their true soul is not going to remain at this ruthless stage of their life from now on. Meeting your true love can change many men.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Maiden was dispicable and finally got what he deserved. Ruth and Eric made a great couple and finally got their HEA. The ending was great. I love all the books from this author and can't wait for her next one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and highly recommend it to lovers of this.

I loved it. Eric and Dmitri two billionaires bored and making senseless bets. Of course the ugly duckling that is selected is bike shop worker, Ruth who wears Coke bottle eyeglasses, bad haircut she does and drabby clothes. Eric takes the bet to woo Ruth and falls hard. It was fast paced and engrossing, i really enjoyed and it rooted for both of them with all of the madness.

Eric & Dmitri are millionaires but Eric wants to clean up his image they come up with the idea of him dating a good girl. Dmitri challenges him with Ruth a nobody.
Ruth is unaware of the bet between Eric & his friend but is still wary.
Nice story but I felt the ending was rushed which spoilt it a little for me.

I really enjoyed this book, the plot of this story was interesting and the characters had a nice chemistry. They were from completely different places and still managed to totally mesh. A nice read with entertaining banter, some well placed comedy, drama and excitement and rounded out with some really sexy romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced review copy of this book.

This is another excellent steamy romance by an excellent romance author! Ruth is a plain Jane down to earth lady that Eric's rival decides to take him hostage with a bet. He knew that Eric's ego would put him in a vulnerable position. Now how does he get out of it? I received a gifted copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I honestly love this story and this author!

I really am at a loss for words on this book. I loved it plain and simple.
It was hot and sexy in all the right places, it had me screaming in some also hoping in others till the author decided to throw a twist in and then the book captured my heart in the end.

Happy Sexy Reading

This book will have you fighting for the underdog. Eric, a billionaire playboy who needs to fix his image, decides on a bet with his friend to win a best couple competition by dating a total Nerd, Ruth. At the beginning I did not like Eric because of the premise for him dating Ruth, but by the end of the story I was applauding the couple. A sweet romantic read.

What can i say about this one, other than i LOVED it. What started out as a nasty bet between Eric and Dimitri turned out to be true love for Eric and Ruth. Loved this story. It had so much steam between Eric and Ruth and I was so happy they got their HEA. This is a must read!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. I have read a couple of books by Melinda Minx. It is a good book. I had hard time read a how some people can just hurt people for fun. I know that thus can happen in real life. This is not my favorite book by Minx. I can't wait to read more books by Minx. I will recommend this book and author.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.  Ruth is working at a bike shop when Eric a billionaire walks in with a friend.  His friend convinces him to take a bet where he will choose a girl and make her fall for him.  His friend chooses him Ruth and now Eric has to ask her out on a date. This is a really good story with a HEA.

This was an entertaining, thoroughly satisfying read. While the book blurb pretty much described the action/what happens, it's the way the characters are portrayed that makes it so good. Eric has a redeeming character that quietly shines through the set-up of the bet and what happens afterwards with Ruth. You have to say "uh-oh, danger ahead Will Robinson" once the bet is made! However, their love makes the entire initial encounter through the HEA worthwhile. But it's Dmitri's darkness that makes a comparison of the two main male characters so easy. Dmitri has a hateful and hate-filled character that doesn't seem to have a direction so it kind of spews everywhere. Makes one wonder how he became that way. Is he really as two-dimensional as he seems? A book of his own in the works, perhaps? He could use some redemption! My final comment isn't about the story but the cover. The model is gorgeous but IMHO, he's too young! He looks like the star of a YA tale, maybe an 18-20 years old, perhaps heading off to college. Not the successful NYC billionaire we have in Eric. It would be nice if the covers of books matched up with the inside! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Eric Prince made a bet with Dimitri two Billionaires riding the FTRAIN because of all the traffic in the city Eric was talking about how he had to change his image for his business he was known as ruthless and a playboy who doesn't really care about the woman he's with. Eric and Dimitri make a bet that he can get any woman he wants to to win The Best Couple contest and Dimitri can pick out the woman they get off the FTRAIN and go into The Fixed Gear bike shop to get a bike. While there a girl with a bike walks in looking like something the cat dragged in she had been knocked down by a car she worked ther her name was Ruth and that's when Dimitri told Eric she was the one he had to get to win the contest with. This is one amazing read there's humor, drama, secrets, betrayal, some very hot steamy sex scenes this is one story you dont want to miss I highy recommend to read Melinda Minx wrote a fantastic storyline the characters were all well developed and fantastic you won't be disappointed you will thoroughly enjoy this very unique intriguing story.

This is a book that I enjoyed reading, can a billionaire date an everyday down to earth girl with little dress sense and make her as famous as him , read this book and be taken on a journey to find out the answer to this question.

This is a great story gone wrong! Ruth has graduated from college and working in a bike shop. She is a strong woman who is unusual. One day Eric decides while sitting in traffic to get out and buy a bike. With his friend, competitor and enemy, Dmitri they make a bet that Eric can not win Best Couple Contest and Dmitri gets to pick the women. Eric should have known better but once he saw Ruth he was invested to find more out about her. Ruth was worried about the reasons behind Eric's interest in her but he removed them and they end up falling into a relationship that could win the contest. Lets say that Dmitri is not a nice man and does everything he can to sabatoge Eric chance to win the bet and to keep Ruth. Once Ruth discovers what happened she stands up for herself and walks away. Eric realizes that the only thing he wants from the bet is Ruth that he does the unthinkable and puts in motion to win Ruth. This is a wonderful love story that two opposites have fierce attraction and chemistry towards one another. I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Melinda Minx did it again with another amazing story! Wonderul read! I would recommend this book and author to anyone. It has a great story line and characters you'll fall in love with.

A fast and entertaining book! I loved Ruth and Eric, but Dmitri I would have loved to strangle! I read on a plane and enjoyed the book. I can't imagine someone making a bet knowing that a woman could possibly get hurt! Be careful what you bet on! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Eric and Dimitri are billionaires and make a bet that Eric just can’t refuse, but if he loses he will have to hurt the woman these two chose to use in their game. This is a fast paced read with plenty of drama and suspense. I liked the story and Ruth really is a great character. A good read.

I really liked this story! It had a great storyline about loving what someone is like on the inside, not always first impressions from the outside. Very refreshing! It also had great supporting characters and details to complete the story. Yeah am voluntarily writing a review from an ARC.

I knew three pages in that this was a more than meets the eye storyline!
Many intriguing characters I had a love-hate, hate, want to hug them feel for!
This frustrating page turner with its bad boy billionaire, shy girls getting a confidence boost, funny moments, evil lurking in the background some hotness in between was not only an enjoyable read but for me more than I had anticipated!
One I would recommend to other book fiends!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. This book was different. This book was entertaining. This book was fantastic! It drew me in from the beginning. I held my breath to see if Eric got what was coming to him and I was really on Jane's side. Another must read from the magical Ms. Minx!

A really cute spin that reminded me of the movies we used to watch as teenagers. I loved how the H had to work for his redemption. An entertaining read with great characters and good supporting characters.

A great story! Eric is a sexy, arrogant billionaire who can have any woman he wants. Eric makes a bet with his friend to turn normal Ruth into a sexy woman. What Eric doesn't plan on is falling for Ruth. Drama, funny, sexy, and a HEA. I received an arc for a voluntarily honest review.

Such a beautiful book. Absolutely love Eric and Ruth's story. Their connection and the romance is well written. You feel the emotions the love throughout the book. Cocky meets his innocent match. Love it.

I couldn't get enough of it. Romance, suspense and a happy ending. There was a touch of Cinderella and a little bit of mystery. I loved every page and every word. Good find!

Not much plot development - felt like I was missing huge chunks of the story. The H went from trying to win a bet to being in love with hardly any interaction with the h. Neither of the main characters were believable.

Eric bets his friend Dmitri that he could take any women that he could make them the New York couple. Ruth is riding her bike to work and all of a sudden she gets hit by a car. Eric and Dimitri go into a bike shop for Eric to pick out a bike. Ruth gets into the shop just in time to see Eric and Dimitri and gives them a rundown on this one bike. Dimitri tells Eric that Ruth should be the girl for him. Her bad haircut, skinned arms and coke bottle glasses. Eric knows that it going to take a lot for her to go out with him. Eric and Ruth take a bike ride in heavy traffic and a way around. Eric asks her to lunch she is real apprehensive of his motives. Eric and Ruth start seriously seeing each other. Eric is still worried about the bet and when the other shoe will drop. Dimitri comes into the shop and Maya is going nuts checking him out when they decide to take a bike ride. Dimitri being there is creeping Ruth out. Eric asks her to go to this party with him so her friend take her to this salon where is totally pampered. Hair dye, make up and prototype contacts she can’t believe how she looks. Meanwhile Dimitri goes out with Maya and he tells her about the bet he knows that she will tell Ruth. The party is a precursor for the 1st New York
Couple and that was part of the bet and then he would have to break up with her in public. Meanwhile Eric is falling in love with Ruth and has no idea what is going to happen. Dimitri walks in with Maya who doesn’t look happy at all. Even though Maya and Ruth have not really been friends Maya knows she has to tell Ruth about the bet. Ruth is so heartbroken and was not going to let Eric get away with humiliating her. Ruth walks up and asks Eric if it were true that he was dating her as a bet. Ruth with a glass of wine in her hand throws it in Eric’s face and tells him never ever to speak or see her again. Dimitri was beside himself because he thinks he is going to get his accounts because Eric looked like a complete a**h*le.
Aiden who works for Dimitri and he tell’s Aiden that he wants him to hook up with Ruth as her rebound guy and that would really put a nail in Eric’s
Coffin. Eric knows he has to do something drastic so he could get back with Ruth. Aiden tells Eric about the plan Dimitri has come up with to force his clients to go with Dimitri. But, Eric thought two can play that game so he gets Aiden involved. Meanwhile Ruth can’t believe that Eric played her. She knew she was never a beauty but, when she heard the whole bet she couldn’t believe that someone could be that cruel. Will Eric be able to get Ruth back. Will Ruth ever forgive Eric for being so cruel. There is also a bonus book.
