One Call Away

Emily Goodwin's books stole my heart years ago, and I just fell in love with her words all over again. One Call Away gave me ALL the feels. This is pure, satisfying romance. And did I mention hot?? Chase and Sierra had great chemistry, and at times I found myself sighing and swooning as their relationship developed. I can't wait for everyone to read this book and love it as much as I do!

Small town romance with two broken characters coming together. It warms my heart! It wasn’t the most original concept or execution but I found myself connected to this book from page one. Goodwin was able to capture something sweet and broken in these characters and the small town and make me invest my time.

You feel like you are in riding the ride with them. Emily Goodwin is a phenomenal author, her books are always beautifully written that you can connect with. This will be short. Another long review gets erased by my kindle fire. This was a good love story between Sierra and Chase. It was told in dual POVs and I liked how the author showed a gradual progression from attraction, friendship, to love. They had great chemistry and hot and sexy intimate moments. It was a good read filled with laughter, love, and conflict too.

I absolutely love any and all books by this fabulous author. This book was so different with you thinking about how fate plays big roles in our lives. I started this book and could not put it down. Such a heartfelt and satisfying book to read you couldn't help but fall in love with these characters. I would recommend this and every other book this author has written.

Chase finds a home he didn’t know he needed and Sierra is finding she can care again. You find yourself pulling for these two people to find the happiness they both need.

Chase has a fantastic backstory which I would love to have a novella on! It would be so interesting. This book was a very emotional book and could not put it down I have not read a book in a long time that has made me cry this much. I tell you what though this is one of my favorite book to read. This author is new to me and if her others books are like this I will be reading more of her. I recommend you pick up this book.

What an amazingly beautiful story. Sierra lost her boyfriend to a car accident and drowning in sadness. Chase never stays in one place too long, he's lonely and has never had a real family. Read about their beautiful love story that will make u laugh, smile and maybe even shed a few tears.

I loved this storyline! No spoilers, but wow. Sierra goes through so much pain and suffering, it makes her happy ending that much better. Chase is exactly my type of man. A little dangerous, a lot sexy, a book nerd and a sweetheart. Pretty great read.

What a beautiful love story. This was written with so much feeling and the characters so well written that you felt like you knew them.
I enjoyed the pace of this story and the element of suspense that the author added, it was exceptional.

Well written, lots of drama. Sorrow and painful situations fill the pages of this book. The way the characters are written helps the reader for attachments to them. Love can come fast, but sometimes the road to happy ever after is rough.

Honestly, the book lover life in this story is dreamy. I love the characters! They’re very realistic and deep. The ups and downs are not over the top, and pop culture references are awesome. Plus I love a good HEA!

Excellent book! Great story! I love how We got to watch Sierra and Chase fall in love and battle the issues together. There was drama but nothing over the top to take away from the love story. I highly recommend this book and Emily Goodwin!

My goodness, Ms. Goodwin this story was so full of heart. I cried so many times with this story. It's like you were telling a story of a person who actually lived it. Loved this book! As always Emily Goodwin has written a book I fell in love with! Chase & Sierra both have a background, they are both able to move past all the bad with each other. They were meant to be together from the very beginning before they had even met! Love love love!!!

This story is so enjoyable beginning to end, even though I cried all through the first chapter. The love story is wonderful, land I certainly recommend this book. On a personal note, either the author or proof reader needs to look up the correct usage of lay versus lie. I am sure I am not the only reader bothered by this, and I find more and more misuse in many books I have read lately. Despite the grammatical errors, this book is well worth reading.

This is a wonderful book! Great storyline very real characters! I got sucked into the story by the fifth page and could not put it down read it in one day! This is a must read! Can't wait for the next book.

Sierra and Jake loved each other dearly and one day while at work Sierra got a call that changed her life. Jake had been in an accident. Rushing to the hospital and hoping Jake was going to be ok, she sits with him and talking to him, trying to get him to come back to her. Jake was too badly hurt and passed away, taking Sierra's heart with him. She couldn't seem to get passed it. Her life was sitting in limbo and she doesn't know how to come back from it. Chase comes into town to help his step brother with his bar. Josh's father had an affair which resulted in Chase. People in town down't seem to like Chase that much for that very reason. He is dealing with it the best he can. His life has been keeping him busy but he wants a break and helping his brother out is just the break he needs. He also likes being home to be around his niece too. Dakota is a sweetheart to him. She loves her Uncle and was playing with his phone and broke the screen by dropping it. Josh feels responsible and gets him an used phone to use while waiting for his to come back. Chase uses the phone and finds what he thought was a cleared out phone to have still a bunch of messages on it. Listening to the first message sends him reeling. From the first text this woman drew him in. She was leaving messages for a dead boyfriend. He shouldn't keep reading but he can't seem to put it down. There is something about this woman that keeps hims reading. He feels for her and what she is going through, he wants to see her happy again. Then he meets a sweet girl named Sierra. Finds out she is the lady on the phone. He starts a relationship with her and knows deep down he needs to tell her about the phone but can't seem to do it. You will find yourself brought right into the story, you will fall in love with Chase and Sierra and when trouble comes you will want to fight for them. Wonderful characters and story.

One Call Away was a beautiful, emotional, and memorable love story, and one of my favorite reads of the year! It was my first novel by Emily Goodwin, and it will most definitely not be the last. I completely fell head over heels in love with her writing style and the phenomenal storyline and characters she created. One Call Away was an incredible romance and I absolutely loved it!

Chase and Sierra were one of my favorite couples, and two of my favorite characters, that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about. I completely fell in love with them and their story from the start, and I was truly captivated from beginning to end. I loved Chase and Sierra’s easygoing and extremely likable personalities, and I felt an immediate connection with both of them. The chemistry between them was undeniable and I loved how their relationship progressed. There were several up and down moments throughout, which is to be expected in every novel, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. I didn’t like a few of the secondary characters all that much, especially towards the end, but other than that I loved everything about this book. I loved reading it from both Chase and Sierra’s POV; it allowed me to have a deeper connection and bond with each character. Chase and Sierra completely stole my heart, and I honestly loved reading every single word of their story. Books and reading are my true passion, and I loved that both of them loved to read as much as I do. Chase Henson has seriously ruined all other men for me in real life, and I don’t think any of them will ever compare to him. Sierra Belmont was one of my favorite heroines. She was sweet and compassionate, yet strong and for the most part knew what she wanted in life. I truly loved this couple and their story with all of my heart, and I couldn’t have been more ecstatic with the conclusion. It made my heart extremely happy and I couldn’t stop smiling.

One Call Away was sweet, sexy, and utterly addicting, and one of my TOP FAVORITE romances of the year. Emily Goodwin completely blew me away with her talent in writing One Call Away, and I couldn’t have loved it more if I tried. She did an extraordinary job with this book, and truly made me happy with the resolution to Chase and Sierra’s story. I have fallen in love with Ms. Goodwin’s writing style and I am very much looking forward to reading more of her amazing books. One Call Away was an exceptional and unforgettable love story, and one you definitely don’t want to miss out on!

This newest book by Ms. Goodwin literally had me bawling. Both in the beginning and then again at various points in the story. I could feel Sierra's pain, it was tangible to me. For her to survive this pain and the way she does it, speaks to her strength. I'm not going to tell you how she makes it through this time in her life, because you need to experience it for yourself.

Along comes Chase to Sierra's hometown trying to start his life over again after living quite the adventurous life. Chase's brother lives in town and actually runs a bar that is the local hangout in this small southern town. And to say there are some people that aren't happy Chase is there would be a lie. A couple in particular and it really made me want to slap them silly. Anyway, Chase meets Sierra and his whole life turns on a dime.

Little does Sierra know that Chase has a couple of secrets that when they're found out, could possibly turn her life upside down and inside out again! But the connection between these two is off the charts crazy high!! I absolutely LOVED that Sierra was feeling again and allowing her heart to open up. This girl literally had no reason to believe she would find love and that it would be an all encompassing love at that.

There's several hurdles our H/h need to get over to have their HEA. These include Sierra's parents, her BFF, a few of the townspeople and of course those pesky secrets Chase is keeping. I can't go too much further without giving it all away. Suffice it to say, this book has elements I haven't seen before and that's one of the things I loved the most. Once again Ms. Goodwin has written a book that drew me in, grabbed me by my heart, and wouldn't let go until I got to the very end with a huge smile on my face!

Okay, first off. 2 characters who love to read?! Like, where do you find a guy like that?! CHASE WHERE ARE YOU?!?!
This book was so sad. It starts off sad and as the story progresses it goes through a roller coaster of emotions basically. It was very frustrating not knowing much about Chase's character. I kept worrying that it wouldn't be explained and we would just have to make assumptions... And the ones I did come up with didn't even come close to what happened. So I failed.
Overall I really enjoyed this book! I love Sierra- she's a different character and I love that she doesn't care that she knows she's different. She comes from a small town where everyone knows everyone's business and pretty much you either have money or have a farm.
One thing that kind of bugged me was Sierra's friend, Lisa. I just didn't connect with her character and honestly wasn't a fan of her. I hate saying it because it's Sierra's friend, but she frustrated me quite a bit...
I love the ending. It just brought a huge smile to my face the whole time because of discussions previously in the book. Basically last couple chapters I had a smile on my face.

Sierra had a tragedy happen that no one should ever have to go through but with the support of her family they try everything for her to eventually move on with her life .. when Chase comes to town he might be the one.

Chase comes to Summer Hill to go to the memorial for his dad which was a dramatic story in itself but when his half brother asks him to stay .. get to know him and his family Chase agrees. He needs a break from his life and looking to just find his HOME. With his job of going all over the world Chase is looking for that one place he feels at home .. nothing has ever felt like that BUT when he comes to Summer Hill that ALL changes.

One tragedy .. one cell phone .. one true LOVE !! The past is the past !!

When secrets are relieved will they both be able to get over each other or will there LOVE ❤️ for each other be enough and push out the small town nosy gossip buddies of Summer Hill !!

This was a heart wrenching loving friends sexy hot tattoo bad boy book !!

One Call Away by Emily Goodwin is an amazing love story. It’s raw and feels completely real. Sierra’s a woman unsure of how to move on. In a dark place she has to decide if she wants to love again. Chase never stays in one place to long and now, now he isn’t sure he wants to leave. These two find each other at a time when they both need each other.

This book is a second chance romance with dual POV. I loved watching this relationship evolve and become something so important to both of them. I love how even after everything they both have been through; they are stronger people in the end. I love their shared love for books.

I loved this book and I hope you do as well. This was my first Emily Goodwin book and I can promise it will not be my last. I loved the book from start to finish.
