Rammel Hawking 1 (Knights of Black Swan Book 8) - VAMPIRE HUNTER

I will admit, I was trepidatious about reading this book.. I am not much of a vampire book type person, but Ms. Danann writes so well and very detail oriented, that I was lost among her world within a few chapters. This book has just enough action to hold my attention, the characters gave me plenty of laugh out loud moments, romance is prevalent, I am now intrigued with what happened in My Familiar Stranger, since now that I've read this, I was told I should have read that first, lol! I had no idea..

Elora and rams story was of course the first story I read but I loved hearing it from rams point of view!!!! Hes my favorite character !! I also loved the writing style switch up and wish the author used it more. Her other books are like a summary instead of an actual story but this was absolutely refreshing.

This is a revisit to the original story that kicked off the series. The difference is that you are seeing it from Ram's point of view. Now, if you have read the series up to this point - you will see some familiar scenes and dialogue. The great thing is the depth it adds to Ram. If you haven't read the series, I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book either before or after this one. It can stand on it's own but is so much better with the details from the other story. Pick up a copy and see why the Black Swan Knights are addictive.

Rammel is sexy, sweet and fun. But then again, what is not to love Ms D nailed it again with another book in her Black Swan series. If you haven't had the chance, come follow along with this series, you won't be sorry you did. Ms Danann spins a wonderful tale, and I love the multi pov! Wonderful characters and a world I would want to live in! Thanks for writing such a great story. I am hooked.

Yet again Victoria has done it!! I loved hearing Ram's side of the story. I was cracking up a few times and others I was like OH that's why he did that!! I think his side was a side that needed to be told! To hear his side of the story really like you fall for Ram in a whole new way, the why he tried to learn what she would like so he could be more romantic was so sweet. To find out what happen when he went home after she arrived and how hard that time was for him.

what a great addition to the Knights of the Black Swan. While I have always had a special place in my heart for Ram, after read his story and reading things from his point of view, it has just made me love him even more. This series has always been one of my favorites and it seems that every time Victoria add another book I love it even more.

Except for a small amount of new material, most of the book is simply a retelling of the first novel from another viewpoint. I felt somewhat cheated, as this is a sneaky way to get another novel out of material that is mostly not new. The writing is still good, but I could have gone back to re-read the first one.

The Black Swan series is still one of my favorite reads so I was thrilled to have a chance to spend some time with Ram again!

Although Ram and Elora's story is told in My Familiar Stranger, reading Vampire Hunter gives us a chance to learn about Ram's past and get a more in depth look into who he really is. You won't be able to help falling just a little bit in love with him!

This books certainly works as a stand alone, but to really appreciate it I would highly recommend reading the other books in the series first.

Once again Victoria Danann has written a funny, entertaining and enlightening story. Rammel Hawking’s is one of my favorite characters. He is funny, sexy and an elf. It was really nice reading this story from his point of view.

I was looking forward to reading this book because I really love Ram but it fell flat for me. It didn't add much to his character or what we already knew from Book 1. Some lines seem to be taken directly from it. I did like the chapters of him when he was just a young Elf.
