I love kricket! Her strength in this book never falters and this book was so full of adventure...it was a page turner that I never wanted to end. Amy literally takes you to a whole other world in this series and I can't wait for the next one!

Loved the book as always! The story keeps getting better and better and I can't wait for the next book. But let me tell you that at one point I hated the book and was mad with Amy, some thing should never happen, but in the end I was able to understand why. I love the book, I cried and I want more.

Anxiously waiting the next one to come out. Such a great adrenaline rush throughout this whole book. No idea where up or down is as we are on the run with kricket and trey. Not sure whether to hate pity or feel some sort of warm mush for both kyon and gif. By overall a book I'd gladly read again and again xo

I absolutely loved this book! When the world she knows and loves crumbles all around her, Kricket holds her head high and she let's her heart lead the way... finally! August can't get here soon enough! So ready for Darken the Stars! I would highly recommend anything written by this brilliant lady!

Everything that made the first book of the series great was gratefully present in the second...likeable, strong characters, humor, romance, suspense, mystery, action. Can't wait to read the third. Highly enjoyable read.

Could not read through this fast enough. Normally not a fan of this type of backdrop but loved how interesting the characters were, the land they existed within, and the plot. One twist after another.

Hang onto your hats and your heart! This book will take your breath away in so many ways! Laughing, crying, screaming and yelling all the way to the GASP at the end! BAW-DA-BAW!!! Can't wait for the next book!!

The last half was great and I was finally starting to get really into and then it ended. The whole first half of the book is all 1 battle and it gets tiresome after a while to be honest. The 1st book was great though so I have high hopes for the 3rd.

Love the strong female role of Kricket, she is what makes this book unable to be put down. There is always a turn a a twist and she handles everything that is thrown at her. Can't wait to read book three.

The first book opened up so many potential plot lines with the political intrigue and houses at odds. Kricket could have trained at Skye and actually become a warrior instead of a pawn. They could have expanded the characters from the other houses. With so many possibilities, the author decided to write a 400 page cat and mouse game between Kyon and Trey with Kricket as the prize. Then, it seems that the author ran out of other ideas (which I can't fathom). So she adds an entirely new set of characters we've never met and bases it all on something Kricket says in her sleep "all the time", but never once came up in the first book?? Can you say backpedal? Then, Kricket who is usually very private decides she's going to put it all out there in front of Trey's family. It's like she's a completely different character. I might read the next one to see if it gets better, but I'm keeping my expectations low.

What a phenomenal author. I adore all her books and this is not a exception. Her voice, sarcasm, pacing, sense of romance and characterization are all outstanding. I hope Ms. Bartol writes 50 more books- I will buy and reread them all.

I love how this author writes, the words creating lush images in my mind . Already I am waiting on the next installment. Such a beautifully written yet semi sad for Kricket as she gets tested over and over by fate. I just can't wait for the next book!!!

Interesting and non-stop action. Definitely leaves no doubt that you will read the next in the series. It does seem that the "bad guys" have all the advantages however. Would be more believable to show the sides with some balance.

I really liked the first book. The second was really much more a general romance with a really predictable plotline. Girl with staggering powers, beautiful and sensual beyond all boundaries, serves as a catalyst between kidnap/fight/rescue scenes...adored by too many men to count. It just got boring for me. Really, I may be the problem, since I was OK with a little romance/sex with my fantasy/sci fi, and instead I got the opposite. This series started off very interesting to me, but has quickly devolved into a formulaic hot romance. If you like that, you'll love these.

I usually don't enjoy series because of the repetition the author includes. Repeating characters and relationships for what would be new readers or I guess to remind the reader if they forgot. Except I read one after the other so I find the repetition annoying. In this case I found book two to be unexpected and a fun read. Perfectly picked up and continued from book one. I also find I like kricket more in this book.

The Kricket Series and Amy Bartol's other series (The Premonition Series) are my absolute favorites. She is a phenomenal writer in that her descriptions make you feel as though you are standing alongside her characters, experiencing everything they see and feel. The only downside is you will become so engrossed, you won't want to put it down. Carve out enough time, people cause these series are THE BEST!!!

Throughout the first two books, I've really come to know and love Kricket. I love her spirit; I respect and admire the way she handles everything that life has thrown at her. I am rooting for her to find a happily ever after... And so, I will anxiously begin book 3...

Action packed. Unexpected plot turns and nail biting anxiety through out made Sea of Stars a must read again and again for me. I will be hanging on a cliff until book 3 arrives! Please don't leave me too long!!!

I adored the first book....I really enjoy amy bartol's writing style...but this one just fell flat. I agree, the beginning was slow, the end had me captivated, and then cliffhanger ...just when there was beginning to actually be some "meat" to the story. A second book should not only be a continuation of the story, with new twists and characters, but it should also be it's own story. This was truly a filler with just exciting tidbits at the end. I am hopeful that Amy can deliver a solid finale in the third book without recapping books 1 and 2. I will read the third book because I truly believe amy bartol is a talented author and can pull this together with a fantastic end. Overall the book was enjoyable, so I do recommend it...I just wanted so much more. With how book 2 ended coupled with the new twists, the final book has the potential to be fantastic.

Just another fine example of this authors ability to take us to another place and time. A great read. ! And just a note to Amy, honey you take your time and write they way you do best, I personally am willing to wait however long it takes you to finish "Iniquity".
