Firelight (Darkest London Book 1)

Refreshing author who actually grasp the beauty in the nuances of the English language. I was exceedingly tired of reading due to the excess trash that clutters the library these days. My excitement and love of books has been renewed thanks to Ms. Kristin

This book was so unpredictable! I can normally guess how a book will end or what resolutions will be revealed, but this book had me at he edge of my seat for its duration. A wonderful love story filled with light mythology and magic...I highly recommend this book to all. Not for teenagers, though, as it is quite sexually explicit. Enjoy!!

Firelight had a lot of great things about it- there was strong character building, a vivid historical setting, mystery, romance and a touch of paranormal. The story took off from the first page and kept me engaged throughout. This is a unique, fun read, and I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed reading this book and Moonglow on my Kindle - enough that I pre-ordered Winterblaze, which will be published February 26. The books are dark romances set in Victorian London that include supernatural powers, romantic angst, semi-graphic sex and some violence. They aren’t intellectual novels, but they aren’t meant to be. They are entertaining and good for a few hours of light reading. I do like that the heroines in all 3 books are sisters, so there is some continuity of characters.

The story was well written and kept me guessing till the end. There was great chemistry between the two main characters and the suspense was just enough to make me want to keep reading. I am looking forward to the next two books in this series.

I could not put this novel down. The plot unfolded and twisted and turned....all while taking a delicious amount of time to thoroughly reveal the main characters. Perfect setting and time to get lost in......

Tender moments from the leading man despite his brutish nature will make you swoon!

If you want something light, this is not the book for you. I didn't finish it. I got to the place where they finally made love but just couldn't push my self to trudge through the rest of the book. The writing style is not great either
