It was very interesting, especially the 5 purposes of the church and how there needs to be balance of all five for a church to thrive. Being a military spouse and attending churches all over the world, it was illuminating to think back to each church and see which ones were attentive to all the purposes and which were not. You will really see a correlation between meeting the purposes and a thriving growing church.

I did not receive this particular book, but the one with the purple cover. I think they are the same, except the page numbers are different for the information. This was ordered for someone else, but I do like the one that I had previously ordered. The order arrived promptly, and was in good condition. I would recommend this book .

Mr. Warren has given an inspiring step by step account of how God worked to create a great church in California. He makes clear suggestions about how to be intentional in focusing on the needs of a congregation and on God's will to meeting those needs. It could be a great help to anyone wishing to participate in bringing God's Kingdom on this earth.

The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren was very informative and excellent book. I think everyone should be required to read it. I think it will build up many churches the correct way. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Of Course, the Bible speaks for itself.

Using it to facilitate a church's internal look at itself. It has application to all church structures regardless of denomination. I recommend this book to seasoned and new readers who have an interest in how their church is structured and operating.

The author paints word pictures well such as his analogy of "catching a wave" when surfing. I know it doesn't sound like ministry, but it is and there's a lot of wisdom sown in the pages. I recommend the book. It has value for all size churches.

This book is a great tool for personal and church growth. While reading I have used this to tool to examine myself in the way of commitment, surrender, and spiritual growth. More importantly my awareness of obedience to Gods influence in my life has been highlighted. I know now even more than before that hearing from My Father is a privilege, and the spirit of obedience allows me to embrace Gods peace and His pace for my life.

I am so grateful.

When you search "Purpose Driven Church" in the store, you get a hit on a book or two that criticizes this book. Success always draws criticism and those who would find their purpose in creating controversy.

This book is an excellent model for building a church that focuses on what is important about building a church. There is good practical advice that will help you be successful in building a church that can not only be self-sufficient, but focus on its purpose - to fulfill the Great Commission and live the Great Commandment.

It is not the Gospel, nor was it intended to be, nor does it need to be. Just a help on church leadership and administration.

A must-read for every pastor. Intentional, purposeful ministry articulated in such an easy read. Annointed and timely. Author hits it right out of the park. Thank you for your obedience. In the trenches I remain in Christ alone, Pastor Nancy Wright.
