Play with Me (Novella)

Lisa continues to write books you can't get enough of. This one has been added to my list I wish it was a longer book or there were additional books coming out with these characters. Damien Ward is The man who is usually in charge of his world, however there is something going on with his employees that causes him to replace his secretary. Kali Miller is trying to start a new life, and a new career become secure with who she is and who she wants to be. They are both a little broken, but very attracted to each other regardless of their working relationship. It was a fun quick read about two people who need to find someone that understands them and completes a part of them that is missing. My only wish is that Lisa will add another book(s) and create a series as I feel there is much more to learn about Damon and Kali and It would be smoking hot!

This is a standalone novella. I love Lisa Renee Jone's books and this book will get added to that pile!!! Great chemistry and sparks between the main characters Damion and Kali= hot sex scenes!!Kali a strong woman who left behind a troubled past to start a new life,with a few bumps in the road, but when she set goals she goes after them. Damion hot, rich sexy, successful single CEO, they meet she's at the right place at the right time, he offers her a job and the sparks fly= hot romance! My only complaint was it was too short, like longer stories/books! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Oh, this novella is exactly what I was looking for today! It is a super quick read, but it is so well written and sweet that it just melted my heart. We follow a few weeks in the lives of Damion and Kali, two "bruised, but not broken" souls and LRJ tells so much in short amount of space, it really blew my mind. We literally get their entire story in 108 pages! Would I have liked a longer version of the book? Absolutely. But, was I pleased with what I read? Yes, incredibly pleased. I hope she keeps writing these novellas because they are really working for her, especially as we wait for the next books in the Inside Out series!

Easy to read with your generic secretary and "tortured past" ceo vibe. Very much a condensed version of fifty shades, minus the bondage, with the same awkward dialogue but written better.

Still. Very sweet and I like that Kali lived up to her namesake and wasn't one of those meek little self-conscious "girls" despite her past.

Kali is starting over in Vegas, coming there for a new job that fell through, has her applying for another job - one she never expected, as secretary to a wealthy man.
Damion needs a new secretary, and asap, when Kali enters his casino. A woman used to standing on her own, she's not intimidated at all by his stature. The scorching attraction, though, that's something else entirely.
Quick read, contemporary romance and smutty fluff in a great combo.

Have you ever had an all consuming, mind blowing attraction to someone that everything seemed that it can't be true, well Kali and Damion had that from the time they first met. Lisa sure knows how to keep you wanting more from the beginning to the end, well for me I didn't want to end... From the first time I ever read one of her books, I fell head over heels from them...Congratulations, I love it.. It is one of those must reads in my book..

I liked both Kali and Damian, strong characters. The snappy conversation was great. It is a novella, the time frame is short, but enough details to carry the story. I would recommend this book to others.

Every time I think I have read the best Lisa Renee Jones offers, I come across another book that blows me away! Play With Me is the story of Damion Ward and Kalli Miller and is based in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. If you miss this novella, you'll never forgive yourself. Enjoy!

This was an amazing novella. Kali has just moved to Vegas and it looking for a job. She ends up an assistant to Damien. Who is a strong, powerful man with a lot of money. When they meet it's instant fire. They try to deny it, but it's impossible. Kali is a strong, independent and smart women that doesn't back down. Will she be able to tame this sexy man?

I received an advanced reading copy in exchanged for an honest review. This novella was fast-paced with a lot packed in, but I loved every minute of it. Kali and Damion are good for each other right from the start. Their personalities were vibrant and relatable and I wish I could know more of their story!
