Poison Kisses Part 1

Wow! This was an intense story with lots of twists and turns in a short first installment of Poison Kisses, and I loved it! I’m not usually a fan of short books, but this book reads like a full length book. Seth, the Assassin, is teamed up with Amanda, the Poison Princess, after three years of her being on the run. This is truly an intense story of two CIA agents who once loved each other, but now hate and don’t trust each other after an assignment gone wrong. Loved the storyline and characters, great chemistry and cannot wait for the next installment!

My rating might be different if this was published as one full length novel instead of a 3 part serial. This is the kind of story I like to read in one sitting.

While I enjoyed it, I didn’t fully connect with the story or characters. I’m not sure what to make of Seth and Amanda. They have an interesting relationship. I am definitely intrigued. It will be interesting to see how this story plays out.

LORD!!!! Oh, how I wish this was being released in it’s entirety. But at least I can thank the stars that I’ll only have to wait a week in between installments. Poison Kisses is packed with intrigue, espionage, sex and secrets. Seth is an ex- CIA agent (as ex as they let you be). Three years after the night that caused him to leave the agency, he is forced to team up once again with the woman he believes abandoned him and their mission all those years ago to catch the bad guy. I am super excited to see how this will all play out. I already have so many questions and can’t wait to get the answers.

This is the first installment in Lisa Renee Jones' Poison Kisses. This is a spin off from the Dirty Money Series with Seth's story. It is told from his POV. I thought it was amazing. Seth, labeled The Assassin for reasons you will learn and Amanda, labeled The Poison Princess are great together. Neither one trusts the other and their backstory will be told throughout the series. I loved that Seth treated Amanda as his equal and she was very much a kick ass heroine and can hold her own. I received an advance copy from the author and publisher and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I enjoyed this book, and loved the action and suspense. The main characters were interesting and there was plenty of heat. I didn’t even mind that the story would be drawn out into three separate books. I don’t mind cliffhangers, at least not if I’m warned about them from the beginning. But I AM very disappointed that in order to get the rest of the story I will have to buy two more books at $3 each. I’m sorry, but asking a reader to pony up $9 for a story that only clocks in at about 270 pages is ridiculous. Readers deserve better from the author/publisher.

This read is nothing more than an over glorified tease to the beginning of a three installment book!!! If you love a good read with a major cliff hanger that has you desperately wanting more, this is your book! It is filled with action packed scenes of danger and attraction that can't be denied. Seth is the hero with all the skills and all the right moves, but not to be out done by a very strong and capable heroine, Amanda. The worst part of this book is the waiting for the next installment to come out. February 13 cannot come quick enough!!!!

I love books that keep me intrigued and wanting to read more and this is definitely one of those stories. Everyone knows there is a thin line between love and hate. Seth is sent on a special assignment to deal with a woman who he loved and betrayed him. The intense and raw passion you feel coming out if these two will keep you turning page after page. You will want to know what happened between these two !!

This is the beginning of something good. Two agents brought together years ago on assignment and thrown back together now. They don't trust each other, say they hate each other. Sure doesn't feel like it. There's action and a mystery and the beginnings of a love story. This ends on a cliffhanger, making me anxious for book 2!

Basically this was a fun read for me. It wasn't very long and had a lot going on, and I am totally intrigued to find out what happens next to Amanda and Seth.

So when the the CIA calls on him to help and to find the woman who screwed him over three years ago he took it. He had questions that needed to be answered. Amanda disappeared three years ago and has to now help Seth the man she once loved and now hates.
Poison Kisses is a thriller with a lot of ups and downs in this story. What a hot and sexy thriller. This is a great start to this series.

Seth is reunited with an old flame, Amanda, a CIA agent on the run. These two have sizzling chemistry and a love/hate relationship. They don't trust each other, but want each other and that keeps them on their toes. Danger, suspense, and intrigue make this a page turner. Can't wait for part two!

I loved reading the fabulous and fantastic first book in the Poison Kisses series. Amanda Larke and Seth Cage are forced to work together again. Even though there is still chemistry between the two spies and feelings smoldering below the surface, Amanda and Mark's trust has been broken. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and full of mystery and intrigue. Can't wait to read the second book in the series!

This is romantic suspense at its best. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who doesn't do well reading serials that are issued weeks apart. For that reason, I'm going to withhold my full review until I read the entire serial, but from the looks of it, I think it's a winner! This author always gives us a storyline full of suspense, secrets and sex! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Lisa Renee Jones is the queen of breathless. Poison Kisses proves that. Seth and Amanda are intensely sexy. Their lambada of dangerous love and smart manipulation is the ultimate for any fan of cat and mouse thrillers. Not only are the characters seducing each other, their setting the bait to lure in the reader as well. The only flaw is that I have to wait to see what happens next.

Poison Kisses Part one by Lisa Renee Jones. A fast paced novella part of a three book serial. A story that pulls you in with spicy content and a intriguing storyline. I've read past books by Lisa Renee Jones and she never disappoints me with her books. I look forward to reading more books in this series and more books by Lisa Renee Jones.

The Assasin and the Poison Princess are on assignment together, it was suppose to be a simple job no strings attached but while on the job one phone call changed everything. Now they are back working together after 3 years and a lot of questions are up in the air that need answers from both sides. Great book can't wait to read book #2

Poison Kisses was the topping on the cherry! Think sexy, suspense and oh so intense chemistry! GOD YES! It just had me craving the rest of the book like asap!

Poison kisses part one starts and finishes strong. I already loved Seth and this series just made me realize why. Amanda, poison princess is the perfect balance to Seth which is surprising for another CIA agent. The cliff hanger made me so thankful the second part came out so close to the first part.

Poison Kisses Part 1 was a fast paced sexy mystery that left me wanting to read more about Amanda and Seth. Their lives cross as CIA agents on a mission together. But more love develops as does their mission. This is a must read and a book that can not be missed.

Fast pace, suspenseful, thrilling and full of action read. Finally, more on our elusive Seth Cage. He's dreamy, daring, sexy, mouth watering beautiful and we get to see him upfront and center while also getting a front row seat to his very own story.

I loved Seth and Amanda. They are amazing together. When they aren't plotting to kill each other. They have a history and a love hate relationship. I cannot wait to see where this story will take them. On to book #2.
