I am sure story is great, well dah, Helena Hunting wrote it, but so disappointed with size of book, I forgot it was Mass Market, so it’s basically a paperback. I prefer the bigger size book, they are keepsakes to me then, not just a paperback

I loved this book! It had a great overall story...filled with a cocky leading male, and a sassy female. It had romance and comedy. I loved the banter throughout the book. It wasn’t an immediate romance and I liked the different aspect it created. Cheers to Helena for another amazing book!

Loved the overly confident male lead who was a great flirt and not in a hurry. Banter was great between the characters. Enjoyed the embarrassing situations the female lead kept getting herself into. Laughed out loud quite a bit. And really liked that it was a longer book.

Another winner for Helena Hunting! Love all of her books, especially the pucked series, but this was another good addition. Funny at times as usual, hot sex, believable characters and a fun setting in the hamptons. Well done as usual!

You know when you accidentally one-click something? That’s what happen with this book and I have to say I’ve never been this happy over a mistake! This book was amazing. Funny in all the right places.

Definitely Mrs. Hunting is the queen of comedy romances, and this time brings us a story completely fun, light, sexy, sweet, fresh and too addictive that you will not want to miss, I was hooked from the front page and I devoured it in one sitting, I practically inhaled the pages.
I do not know how the author does it, but with each new story she overcomes herself. I completely loved the story of Pierce and Rian. I fell in love completely with this couple, perfect for each other.
And let me tell you that Pierce will make you fall at his feet, a good boy who steals your heart from the first moment. We already had a glimpse of Pierce in Amie's book, but honestly I did not expect to like him that much, sexy, sweet, and obviously super hot, he had me drooling throughout the story. He almost stole Lex's place in my heart with his sweetness.
Rian, I loved her, a great protagonist, who in addition to being beautiful is super smart, brave and super independent, funny, sassy, she has to start by her own because her family lost everything, but she and her sister have the opportunity to get ahead with the business of real estate and flipping.
The chemistry in the first encounter is instantaneous and sparks fly among them, the attraction is practically palpable through the pages, and they continue to meet in random circumstances. But despite chemistry and attraction, due to family circumstances and goals, Rian does not want to give in to what she feels. And Pierce wants to stop being a lawyer to dedicate himself to what he like most, so that makes them not want to get involved with the other.
In spite of everything, the attraction is more, I loved seeing how they were opening with the other despite their initial problems, their scenes are very hot, dirty, and sexy. As the plot develops, the chemistry increases and as they get to know each other, they develop deeper feelings.
The story in general is great, it is light, with a touch of anguish. The characters are fun, well developed. I loved accompanying this couple during their journey, I laughed out loud throughout the book, I sighed, I blushed, the dialogues melted me and in general left me wanting more.
Of course I loved Marley and Lawson, and the appearance of Amie, and I hope the author gives us their story at some point.
Super fun, sexy, light, sweet, highly recommended for those who love rom-com like me.

I thought this book was supposed to be about buying and flipping houses. It IS NOT. It's one sex fest after another with Pierce and Rian. The author's language she uses to describe that sex fest is awful. Her language makes it sound like two horny people who can't keep their hands off of each other. There's only been one chapter about buying houses. Such a disappointment. I've never read anything from this author before and won't again.

While I found the premise of author Helena Hunting's latest book, "I Flipping Love You" to be both interesting and compelling, ultimately, it fell short of my lofty expectations. It wasn't the story as much as the characters that I found lacking. In particular, the lead heroine, Rian, was often hostile and unlikeable, making her a constant source of annoyance for me throughout. Her counterpart, Pierce, on the other hand, actually turned out to be a fairly decent guy—not the arrogant jerk I fully expected him to be. Hence, his character alone was reason enough for me to want to see it through till the very end. And while there are parts of this book that have its merits, for me, there just aren't enough of them to warrant more than a 3 star rating. Still, for those of you who are looking for a steamy, summer read, then “I Flipping Love You” just might be the book for you.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book, which was provided to me through Netgalley.

From the very first scene, I knew this book would be anything but a fixer upper! I love Helena Hunting’s razor-sharp writing, her effervescent characters, and the ‘uniquely Helena’ storylines and dialog that only she can dream up. I love the Shacking Up world that Helena has created and I Flipping Love You is another perfect addition to the series.

Rian and her twin sister are real estate agents in the Hamptons. They have overcome life-altering challenges imposed upon them by their less-than-law-abiding parents and they’re working toward their goal of purchasing their own property to flip for profit. After a case of mistaken identity in the grocery store, Rian is drawn to the egomaniacal stranger who both intrigues and infuriates her.

Pierce is Amelie’s sister (from Hooking Up) and he flips houses with their brother. Like Rian, he’s also dealing with family issues; namely, the huge mistake he made at his father’s company. As a lawyer, he’s used to making deals, but with Rian, that playbook gets thrown out the window.

From their unconventional meet-cute until the very last page, I adored Rian and Pierce. Their chemistry is off the charts and their banter is hilarious. Rian can’t catch a break and embarrasses herself numerous times in front of Pierce, which left me laughing while feeling a bit sorry for her. Throw in a horrible online dating experience, the aforementioned mistaken identity, and the competition in the Hampton’s housing market between the brothers and the sisters, and you have the blueprint for a one-of-a-kind comedy that only Helena Hunting can deliver.

There were so many laugh-out-loud moments in I Flipping Love You that I couldn’t put it down for fear of missing the next funny scene (that she somehow tempers with tenderness that you don’t necessarily expect in a rom-com). I don’t know how she keeps doing what she does book after book, but whatever mojo she has, she needs to keep blessing us with her comedic genius.

One case of mistaken identity in a rather unorthodox way put Rian Sutter in the sights of Pierce Whitfield. From that initial meeting I was constantly in a fit of laughter as Helena put these two characters in situation after situation that caused them to not only constantly bump heads, but clash and collide, skyrocketing their connecting and magnifying the tension between them tenfold.

Pierce pulled and Rian pushed. Together they were a ball of banter, quick witty comebacks, but also romance. A romance that was sweet and such a feel good affair that I felt it swirling around, warming me from the inside out. But the relationship between Pierce and Rian wasn't an easy feat. Rian is smart as a whip, tough, and guarded, and as the plot unravels Helena shows us exactly why Rian is the way she is. She gives Pierce a fight, she doesn't roll over easily for him, yet Pierce is a humble man. A relentless and cocky, suit wearing one moment and cutting grass and flipping house the next type, humble man! One who remains steadfast when it comes to Rian. And that's from the moment he meets her!

Helena Hunting knows how to not only write good one-liners, but she delivers the punch lines effortlessly. Though tamer than Helena Hunting's usually trademark branded comedy, I Flipping Love You is filled with hilarity and bound to make you laugh-out-loud!

This was my first book by Helena Hunting. I quite enjoyed it! I have to start by saying how much I love the cover. Like seriously, one of my favorite covers ever. We don't always need a shirtless man on the cover! The plain white tee with the bicep bulges works almost better in my opinion!

Usually in a romance novel, the person with commitment issues is the man, but not this time! It was a nice change up for me to read about a heroine who has trouble opening up and making a commitment. Rian had a fairly dramatic backstory and it makes total sense why she has trouble opening her heart up. I loved how patient Pierce was with her. He knew she was special and was willing to wait til she was ready to share while also being very clear with his intentions toward her.

Pierce is definitely the ideal hero. He's super hot, super rich, patient, understanding, hard working, confident but not a jerk, loyal, honest, kind and knows what he wants.

At the climax of the story, when all of Rian's back ground is starting to come out and her half truths are catching up to her, she automatically jumps to Pierce going behind her back and using her, completely villanizing him. Partly as a way to protect herself, partly because she's insecure. She talks to her twin sister about it and based on Marley's behavior, I totally thought she was going to jump on the I hate Pierce train, but was very pleased to see her be the voice of reason for Rian and call her out on her insecurities.

There's a few sex scenes in the book. Mostly in the first third of it. The first scene is the longest and the most detailed. And Rian came at least 4 times during the whole interaction. I dont know about you, but I think that's quite the exaggeration! The next scene was half as long and not detailed much at all. Then the rest of them were either fade outs or extremely light on the details. I personally would have liked one more detailed scene towards the end that was more of a bonding of their souls and bodies, verses just their bodies like in the beginning.

I enjoyed the side of the story that was all about the buying and flipping of property. I don't watch those house flip shows, so it was all kind of knew to me. I found it quite interesting.

There's a bit of swearing in the book, mostly F bombs, but it wasn't so much that it was distracting. Though I would have preferred less.

Overall, I liked this book! I totally want to go back and read Pierce's sister's book and I will definitely be reading any more books she writes for this series!

Funny until the very end..
It is perfect for summer read...

Rian is really good with numbers and while she was price checking the cereal boxes in the grocery store, she noticed a handsome stranger checking her out. She couldn’t believe she is being checked out by a gorgeous men in fantastic suit. What she didn’t know was that he wasn’t checking her out, he was just trying to make sure he found the right person who ran into him in the same parking lot and took off.
When Rian was confronted by Pierce, he realizes she is not the one who committed hit and run. But he couldn’t let Rian go without knowing about her so he decided to settle on a price for his repair. It was perfect opportunity for Pierce to text her and he was more interested in her than getting the money from her.
Rian hates to owe anyone anything. So she decided to pay quickly as possible and move on. She has enough on her plate to deal with. Rian and her twin sister are real estate agents in Hamptons. They are really working hard so they could start flipping houses for bigger profit. Plus Rian set her eyes on a particular mansion that brings her happy memories.
Pierce was a patent lawyer for his father’s company and he screwed up one of his father’s patent and he needed a short vacation away from his fiasco. While taking some time off, he was working with his younger brother in Hamptons. His brother started buying properties in Hamptons and renting or flipping them. Pierce loved working with his hands and he was enjoying his time in Hamptons.
When he had to meet her to get the check, she was negotiating the final price of the repair, he knew he wanted to date her. He was relentless on pursuing her for a date and he made sure he run into her as much as he can while he was in Hamptons.
Rian loves numbers and when her sister signed up for dating service, she only dated who had high probability with her. When she ran into Pierce when she was on a date with her potential match, sparks were flying between them but she didn’t date typical handsome player types and she believed he was that type.
After date gone wrong with her potential match, she keeps running into Pierce and attraction was undeniable for both. Both don’t do summer flings but they couldn’t resist the pull... They both have enough dramas on their own and they didn’t need another drama on top. So they give into their lust...
When Pierce brother introduces his realtor and they happen to be Rian and her sister.. Now things will be more complicated.. They have to work together and walk the fine line between work and fling.. They have to balance everything...

I really did enjoy reading this one.. It was very fun until the end. Rian and Pierce were perfect for each other. They constantly argue and their banters were hilarious. I didn’t read the previous one but this can be stand alone and I will definitely check out the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin's for my ARC in exchange for honest review.

I’ve heard so many great things about Helena Hunting and have been wanting/planning on binging her Pucked series for a while now. However, that hasn't happened since I'm so busy and have so many books to read and ARCs to review. But being me and a booknerd, that never stopped me from requesting for more and when I saw this on Netgalley I thought why not just go for it. The title’s a little weird and cheesy, but the synopsis seemed fun and promising.

Well, I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed, BUT...

I Flipping Love you was a kind of slow for me. The story itself wasn’t exceptionally breathtaking or emotionally moving with enough FEELS. I was missing that and I think that's why I wasn't completely crazy over this book. Nevertheless, it did have plenty of really good moments I found quite enjoyable. There were some steamy scenes, sweet swoons, a little drama here and there, and some funny parts too. Definitely made me smile and also almost had me tearing up... almost.

The characters were all pretty interesting. I thought Pierce was an awesome male lead – sexy, rich, and a bit cocky, but also considerate, kind, and romantic. Rian was smart, spunky, headstrong, and an amazing sister. I also really admired her dedication and passion. Marley was a bit irresponsible at times, but she's also hardworking and very determined. I really did like the characters, but no one really stood out for me. Except maybe Amalie… Yeah.. I think she's my favorite. Even if she was barely in the book, I loved all the parts with her - being so bubbly, witty and fun.

The romance was sweet and I thought the chemistry between Pierce and Rian was adorable. Even though I wasn't on board with their romance in the beginning, I eventually warmed up. I liked the angst and how their relationship developed. They had some heartwarming moments and I enjoyed their playful bantering a lot.

The ending was pretty sweet and overall, I Flipping Love You was a delightfully fun read... I’m just not completely head over heels in love with it. That being said, I did really enjoy this novel, so I’m definitely still interested in reading Helena Hunting's books... just not anytime soon.

This may have not swept me off my feet, but it's still an awesome summer read – quick, light, and charming.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was a letdown for me. It definitely did not get off to a good start, with Rian and Pierce's first meeting in the grocery store. In their first interaction, Pierce comes off as very aggressive, confrontational, and borderline abusive. While the character did settle down later in the book, that initial encounter seriously tainted my view of him for the entire book. I was even talking to a friend about the first chapter, and I mentioned that it would be a great place for the *actual* male lead to walk around the corner and tell this aggressor to leave the female lead alone! But no, we're stuck with this intimidating man as one of the lead characters.

The tension and conflict that is portrayed in the book's description just isn't there. There are a couple very brief issues that come up, but nothing like the blurb would have you believe. The main conflict in the book comes from Rian resisting dating Pierce because he's good-looking, and naturally, a relationship with a good-looking guy is doomed to fail. Also, the ending is one that can be seen from about 3 miles away.

Finally, the author's choice of wording when referring to the male and female parts involved in a romantic encounter were laughable, and often made me roll my eyes and wonder how it's supposed to be romantic at all when it sounds like it's written by a giggly teenager.

If would give this 1.5 stars if I could, simply because I did manage to make it to the end without throwing my tablet across the room. If you're looking for a superficial romance novel with little substance, this might be for you. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere.

Netgalley and the publisher provided me with a complimentary review copy of this book.

Helena Hunting makes house flipping and the real estate world sound fun in I Flipping Love You. A hilarious, sweet, and sexy read, I Flipping Love You features Pierce and Rian, a new couple with an unfortunate not so meet-cute and chemistry that sparks at a single glance. With the dust settled these two start a fling before realizing their business ventures are tied together and they must separate business from pleasure. Things get a little messier when Rian's covered up past is uncovered and Pierce's personal life rears its head, revealing that both are afraid of commitment, but not afraid of each other. It's a lesson in trust and lust for the two, because it can't just be an easy summer spent flipping houses.

"I want to find out if she kisses like she's fighting or submitting. Or maybe both."

Helena Hunting is always funny, but also manages to write sincere romance that isn't predictable. Anyone who watches HGTV or DIY knows about the flipping homes craze, but I personally haven't seen any books featuring it, so this one was fun for me. I really appreciated that both Rian and Pierce were multi-faceted characters; their day to day lives and interactions were not solely focused on home sales and fixer uppers, but also on their emotional and physical connection, their personal lives with family and friends, and the pasts each has that leaves them with a bit of commitmentphobia. Told from their alternativing first person perspectives, Rian is a spunky girl with a desire to be better than her past told her she would be and Pierce just wants to finally make a career out of something he enjoys rather than something he's told to do. Both of their end goals make them perfect business partners or perfect enemies, but what Helena Hunting does with their personal and business relationship is even better. I really liked both main characters and reading their romance was laugh out loud funny and awe-worthy sweet. Yes, they sneak off to romp in every home and in various other locations, but they also learn to share and lean on someone besides their own family. The characters are more mature but I sort of liked that the character development in the novel was simpler. It was the perfect nice, light-hearted read I was hoping it would be.

"I am stretched with a capital S. Maybe even all caps. Shouty ones. It looks so hot."

I wanted to read I Flipping Love You, because I love any shows about flipping houses, but I also really, really, REALLY liked the cover. The model is both adorable and handsome and grabbed my attention right away. Turns out cover lust led me the right way this time. I Flipping Love You is a standalone, but if the other books are anything like this then they're going to be winners for me, for sure. I highly suggest this one, it's the sort of book you can read repeatedly and still enjoy.

"The desire is visceral, a shimmer in the air, a heat in my veins, and a fire in his eyes. That is what wanting someone is."

Rian and Marley Sutter are fraternal twins, but look almost identical. So it's not surprising that they often get mistaken for each other. While in the grocery store, Rian notices a handsome man following her around. She doesn't know if she's being stalked or if he's possibly flirting, until he confronts her with accusations of a hit and run. Rian has no idea what he's talking about, but knows Marley must be behind this. When Marley accosts Pierce with the grocery cart, grabs her sister's hand, and drags her out the store her suspicions are confirmed. Pierce catches up with them and lets Rian know Marley has cost them $2500 in repairs, that they don't have to spend. In order to keep Pierce from calling the police and putting it in through insurance, Rian agrees to pay Pierce and go on a "date" with him.

Pierce Whitfield has never wanted for anything, except his father's approval. He became a patent attorney as that is what his father wanted. When he makes a costly mistake, he steps away to take a break until everything is settled. He joins his brother in flipping houses in the Hamptons. Neither wants to work for their father forever. While being a patent attorney affords him a life of luxury, it doesn't make him happy. Working with his hands, does. When he meets Rian, his curiosity is peaked. He's never met anyone like her. She's a hard worker, doesn't have a lot, but is proud. He also knows she's keeping secrets...

I have to say this is my first Helena Hunting novel. I LOVED it!!! Two thumbs up! I loved the creepy dolls, the gnomes, Tripod. I loved how Rian and Marley were able to make something out of nothing. Having been abandoned by the people who are supposed to love and care for you, only to leave you with a mountain of their debt, and deceit. It's amazing how well adjusted they were. I loved how protective they are of each other and their dreams. I enjoyed the neon green speedo and cookie baking schemes to gain listings. Most of all, I loved who Pierce became with Rian. I read a gifted copy of this novel and all opinions stated are my own.

I Flipping Love You
By: Helena Hunting

??⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??

Crashing into Love and competition!!!

Helena Hunting will always get a great story. In her latest book you’ll see humor like always but you’ll also watch two scared people fumble through a beautiful love story. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Rian Sutter doesn’t usually get hit on in the grocery store, but when she notices a sexy man in a suit checking her out, she thinks maybe it’s her lucky day. Either that or the suit has a thing for sweaty, yoga-pant wearing women with excellent price matching skills.
Turns out it’s neither.

Pierce Whitfield can’t believe his luck when he’s able to track down the woman who scratched up the paint job on his car at the scene of the crime. But when he confronts the hit and run hottie, he discovers there’s not just one, but two of them, and he’s been throwing accusations at the wrong twin.

As repair costs are negotiated, and the chemistry between them flares, Rian and Pierce find out they have more than mutual attraction in common. They’re both vying for the same pieces of prime real estate in The Hamptons and neither one plans to give up without a fight.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.??

This newly published book, I Flipping Love You, by Helena Hunting, was a complete and pleasant surprise. It is a smart and sexy romantic comedy about twin sisters who grew up spending summers on the beach in the Hamptons; and a lawyer whose career has hit an embarrassingly rough spot.

I Flipping Love You is a funny and wonderfully romantic look at how relationships that get off to a very rocky start can develop passionately and beautifully.

Rian and her sister, Marley, whose wealthy but dishonest parents abandoned them at the age of 18, worked odd jobs until old enough to take real estate courses. Then, starting from nothing, they built a profitable real estate business selling high-end homes. Now they are ready to transition into flipping houses.

Pierce Whitfield is a patent attorney whose attorney father coerced him into a career practicing law. Pierce would prefer to be flipping houses, and does beautiful work.

They meet in a grocery store in a not-so-pleasant situation, and the fireworks start there. Angry, but unable to resist the attraction, Rian and Pierce cannot stay away from each other.

While I enjoyed the book, one thing that disappointed me is a character who was described in such a way that leads the reader to picture a woman in her 80s or older. She was later said to be 65. Almost immediately it was said that, with the elderly, bran muffins are always a win. Only a very young person would picture someone in her sixties as “elderly”.

I admit that, due to the cheesy artwork on the book jacket, I expected another less-than-stellar romance novel. It was anything but. I thoroughly enjoyed I Flipping Love You, and hope there will be a sequel.

What Makes This Book Reviewer Grumpy?
- The author confusing the verb “bringing” and “taking”; “come” and “go”;
- confusing “begs the question” with “raises the question” – they aren’t even close to having the same meaning;
- combining two words into one word such as “superready” and “superfun”;
- split infinitives;
- misplacing the word “only” within sentences;
- incomplete sentences;
- ending a sentence with “at”;
- single-sentence paragraphs.

I Flipping Love You is the perfect beach read. It’s light and fun with a cast of bold personalities and a sexy romance that’ll leave you with a smile.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Helena Hunting’s books, so I came into I Flipping Love You with fairly high expectations. Confession time: I didn’t like this book when I started it. At first, I found Pierce to be shallow and arrogant, Rian to be a flat character, and the comedic moments weren’t funny to me at all. It wasn’t bad, but the advertised romantic comedy felt more like one of those forgettable romcoms you keep on in the background and forget two minutes after it ends. That being said, I’m so glad I stuck with this book because I ended up thoroughly enjoying it.

After the first third of the book, I grew to care about Pierce and Rian and I loved peeling back the layers of their characters. While he is self-assured, Pierce shows himself to be a wonderfully sweet hero with a good heart and a sense of humor. He’s a patent lawyer who wants to get out of the family business but is worried about disappointing his father. It’s clear Pierce is more suited to doing renovations than he is filing patents and I could see why he was so determined to prove that he could make his new career choice work. As for Rian, she is a brilliant and fun heroine whose family history has made her wary of trusting anyone other than her twin, Marley. Her father conned people out of millions before he and her mother abandoned Rian and Marley, leaving them a pile of debt. The two of them have had to work their way up from nothing and now their dream of flipping houses is about to become a reality. Rian’s biggest dream is to buy back and renovate their grandmother’s mansion in the Hamptons and I was rooting for her all the way. Of course, her dream and Pierce’s lead them to be in competition over properties, which leads to some fun moments.

I Flipping Love You starts off with a lot of banter and sexual tension, but when things heat up, the book really hits it stride. Pierce and Rian fit each other perfectly in bed and out and I liked seeing them work together just as much as I enjoyed the romantic storyline. It isn’t always smooth sailing for these two; Rian has trouble letting herself trust in Pierce and there are a couple external obstacles in their way as well. But all in all, theirs is a fun, sexy romance that’s easy to become invested in once Pierce convinces Rian to give him a chance.

I Flipping Love You is the third book in Ms. Hunting’s Shacking Up series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Pierce’s sister, Amalie (the heroine of Hooking Up), does play a small supporting role and I will definitely be reading her book because she was a ton of fun and captured my interest from the start. So if you’re looking for a book to sweep you away to the Hamptons for the summer, this sassy, sunny tale is for you.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

4.5 Stars ~ Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse

Wow, this is definitely one-clicking material! I’d just finished reading a darkish angst-ridden book and feeling rather jiggered when I dived into I Flipping Love you. I enjoyed the first book in the Shacking Up series, book two escaped me but this romantic comedy well…it certainly lifted my spirits! At first glance, I got the feeling it would lean towards the light-hearted with a little drama to spice things up. Actually, there is a lot more to Rian with an i and Pierce’s story than meets the eye. For me, it was all down to the excellent character development in a well-thought-out plot. I honestly had no idea what a couple of AmE real estate words meant, so in all my ignorance, I referred to the Webster’s Dictionary. But was it worth the effort? Definitely! Let’s talk about the cover! I can’t argue that it didn’t depict the male protagonist perfectly since I often find the image deceiving, but it’s so him. And the title—it couldn’t have been better.

What sold me and I have to confess I’m not easy to please, were the protagonists’ contrasting personalities. Their paths cross in the most peculiar of circumstances that’ll get more than a laugh out of you. Here, Hunting’s storytelling prowess flourishes. Looks and words are exchanged, sexual tension sizzles. And much to Pierce’s delight, Rian’s cage is easily rattled. Her confusion is as such that I felt like a bystander watching her discomfort unfold in such a visual scene, crying with laughter would be putting it mildly. She has a slight problem which you ladies will probably appreciate if you’re trying to organise your lives. It’s called no distractions. However, she wasn’t counting all of his positive attributes. This man is not only flippin’ gorgeous, he’s also a flippin’ tease, sensitive and can I have him…please! So, while we’re all trying to fathom him out exactly what he wants, he takes great pleasure in pushing her boundaries, getting under her skin and making her blow hot and cold. Question is, will she thaw!

She’s a worrier, a dab hand with numbers and has a goal which she doesn’t want to steer off course, but this guy still has the knack of cropping up when least expected. This is a complicated storyline which I really liked. It’s not all flowery or instalove. Granted, the attraction’s scorching and as their relationship progresses, the pages start heating up like what the freakin’ heck! But behind all this, there is so much more to discover.

I adored Pierce’s live and let live attitude regardless of the problems he’s having in his professional career. His smiles, small details which made me swoon, literally convinced me that if anyone could persuade Rian to take a step back and enjoy life, it was him. He is a fixer. A man not to be taken lightly regardless of his humour.

The secondary character development is without a doubt, spot on. Rian’s twin sister is a buffer. Pierce’s brother…hmm, I’d really like to get to know him better and maybe there’s a story here—I have no idea but I’d truly like one. What I do know is Hunting kept me entertained from beginning to end with a solid no-nonsense storyline which I’d recommend at the drop of a hat to any of my book buddies. Bravo!

4.5 “Kismet” stars!

I FLIPPING LOVED THIS BOOK!! It’s no wonder Helena Hunting is one of my go to rom com authors. She effortlessly blends laugh-out-loud comedy with sweet and sexy romances giving us steamy fun and a whole lot of heart.

Rian and her twin, Marley, were born with a silver spoon in their mouths; however, after their family loses everything they are left to fend for themselves. They’ve worked hard to become real estate agents and have finally made a name for themselves. With a few more sales and a good home flip or two, their dream to renovate the old Mission Mansion in the Hamptons will be within their reach. Until they meet Pierce.

Pierce is taking the summer off from his patent law job because of a huge mistake he made. He’s helping his brother buy and flip homes in the Hamptons and he isn’t interested in anything but laying low while everything blows over. He never expected to meet a pretty girl that may very well be considered his competition, and he definitely never expected to fall for her.

I Flipping Love You is a sweet, steamy, light-hearted read that will permanently put a smile on your face. The storyline is original and entertaining and the characters are fun and lovable with personality and depth.

Rian is sweet, caring, and an individual. She isn’t embarrassed to be who she is even is she has a past that haunts her. She is unique, fun, and makes the best of her situation. Her determination is amazing as she works hard to achieve her dreams. She is really smart and funny, and I loved that she caught Pierce’s eye!

“Do you have any idea how sexy that is?”
“You think it’s sexy that I can do math in my heart?”
“Yes. You’re gorgeous, outspoken, and intelligent. It’s a hard-on-inducing trifecta.”

I loved Pierce. He’s very wealthy but doesn’t flaunt it, he’s super sexy and smart but isn’t arrogant, he’s cocky and confident but also vulnerable and real. He is such an amazing guy who looks at the best in people and does everything with a big heart. I loved that he pursues Rian and tells it as it is.

“When this thing with this current guy doesn’t work out, you can go out with me.”
…“What makes you think it won’t work out?”
He hitches a shoulder and motions between us. “Because there’s chemistry here, and I doubt you’ll be able to ignore it indefinitely.”

And there is chemistry!!! From the beginning there is fantastic banter and sky high sexual tension that leads to all the sweet and sexy times between Rian and Pierce. They are just so good together. They give as good as they get and they know how to push each other’s buttons in the best possible way. I loved how their relationship sneaks up on them and I thought the way their feelings developed was realistic. I felt the love they share and was giddy every time they were together.

The secondary characters were entertaining as well. I adored Rian and Marley’s relationship. They are twins who have each other’s backs even when one screws up and love each other unconditionally. They are a total hoot together and I hope we get more of Marley in the future. I was also excited to see Amalie and Lex again, and hope to see more of Lawson too.

Charming, hilarious, and heartwarming! From a memorable first meeting between two interesting and lovable characters to a series of not-so unfortunate events that lead them to each other's paths, I Flipping Love You promises a diverting rom-com packed with Ms. Hunting's signature humor and heart.

Rian Sutter and Pierce Whitfield's first meeting is memorable, to say the least. There are groins getting hit by shopping carts, dinged Teslas, and mistaken identities involved. Thanks to Rian's flighty and slightly irresponsible twin sister Marley doing a hit-and-run on Pierce's fancy car, they have to pay him with money they can barely afford to spend. But unlike Marley, Rian knows what responsibility means, and she knows it's the right thing to do.

You'd think that settling that issue would be the last of their interaction, but it's harder to shake off an interested and persistent Pierce than she first thought. Especially if Pierce is the brother of her and Marley's real estate client.

After a blunder at his law firm, Pierce takes a few months' break in the Hamptons to regroup. He's no longer happy with what he's doing, and now he has a chance to do what he really wants—flipping houses. When he meets Rian, he can't help but pursue her. She always thwarts his advances, staying as detached as she can, but he knows it won't take her long to admit that they have a connection stronger than lust.

But with secrets threatening to come to light and dreams so close to coming true, a connection might not be enough to reach their happily ever after.

Honestly, I wasn't so sure how I felt about Pierce consistently pursuing her at first, but he grew on me. He's cocky, confident, and endearing. He's also caring, sweet, and so transparent with his feelings. I love me some brooding men, but goodness do I love men who aren't afraid to express their feelings. That's Pierce, and I just love him for it.

Rian and Marley have gone through a lot, and it says so much about them—Rian especially—that they were able to go past it and find a way to survive with little to their names at such a young age. I'm not a huge fan of what Marley did at the beginning, so the jury is still out on that one. But I love Rian with all my heart. She's strong, resilient, sassy, and loyal. She deserves the best, and I cheered for her to reach her goal.

Watching Pierce and Rian fall in love was an experience I'd love to relive again. They were funny, sweet, and incredibly heartwarming. The chemistry has been there from the start, but to see it grow alongside their feelings, to see them know more about each other and love what they find, it can make anyone swoon.

I won't say how this book is related to the other books in the Shacking Up world, but the clues are all here. Besides, I think it would be more fun for you to find out yourself.

If you're looking for an all-out romantic comedy with a touch of angst and a healthy dose of heart, you'll enjoy I Flipping Love You.
