Big Brothers Are the Best (Fiction Picture Books)

Love this book! It discusses the many ways that big brothers have MORE fun than new babies, and does so without inserting feelings about jealousy like many big sibling books do. My thought it they might not feel as jealous if we don't suggest that feeling to them! This book deals with a lot of the real life issues that first happen when the new baby comes home. Highly recommend!

This book is totally adorable. It is full of examples of big brother doing nice things for the baby. It is just such a sweet book. The ONLY things that bug me a teensy bit are the "babies eat from bottles" 'cause it would be nice to just say "babies drink milk" and maybe show daddy feeding baby from a bottle and mommy nursing, too, just to give both sides of that whole issue, and the cupcake example of what big brothers eat. ;) Our kid is a monster with sugar so we don't give him much, and really it doesn't bug me, it just would be nice to see a better food example, but it's cute, still, and hell, who doesn't love cupcakes???? And it's kind of from the perspective of the big brother, anyway, and I'm sure our son would give cupcakes as his food example since he never gets them but does LOVE them. ;) So, anyway, sorry for rambling, but overall it is the cutest, best big brother book out there. Love the illustrations, too!!!

This book is bright and colorful and cute, however if you plan on breastfeeding, this book may not be your most inclusive choice. "Little babies drink bottles" is the only mention of how a baby might eat. I'm fine with bottle feeding, but if you are going to include it, I think baby's drinking milk from their mommies should be included too!

I received this book through the store and as soon as I opened the book to read to my son the pages fell out. No one else in my household had a chance to tamper with it so it wasn't like my son got a hold of the book and was too hard with it. I don't know if this is typical with this book but I am very disappointed that the book is now unusable. Otherwise the story seems cute.

Books looks cute but I wanted the hard cover NOT Kindle. When I realized the error I immediately tried to correct but because it became a digital order there seems to be no way to cancel, correct or redirect this order. I have wasted $6.25 as I will never use a computer screen to read to young children.
Very frustrated that there is no button for customer support on the store anymore. The help section had only unrelated Q & A to my problem. This review section seems to be the only vehicle of communication. Who knows the right people will read it.

This book is perfect for helping a male child adjust to the new baby in the family. It's a good confidence booster by explaining that as a big boy you can do so many things that the baby is not able to such as sleep in a big boy bed. It shows that you might not be able to play with your new sibling at first but you can still help out mom and dad. And most importantly, the book emphasizes that your parents will still love and spend time with you.

Highly recommend this book for parents who are wanting to help their child adjust to the new baby. There is also a female version of this book available.

I purchased the Kindle version. The book is short and simple and the illustrations are cute. I wasn't able to enlarge the pages so its not quite the same as holding a real book. I wouldn't spend a lot of $$, but if you have a toddler that is learning to be a big brother, you could add it to your collection,

Book binding was wrong. Inside of the book was flipped from what was on the cover. It was a gift and we gave it to someone with a personal message on it, later found out that the book was made this way!
