Schooled was a fabulous debut by Piper Lawson. Alexis is in her senior year of college and has everything figured out. Once she graduates, she is going to launch a clothing line with her best friend, Ava. They decide to focus on school and their business and swear off guys and relationships for the year. Everything is fine until Ava's younger brother Dylan transfers to their school and begins spending time with Lex. Although she tries to remain just friends with Dylan, she finds it harder as time goes on as she discovers he is not who she thought he was. I loved these characters - Lex was smart, sarcastic, driven and funny. And Dylan was perfect - smart, sexy and determined to have Lex. I really enjoyed their story and I'm looking forward to Ava's story!

Wow. The plot of this book was completely original. It was light hearted and straight to the point read for me.
I never read anything like it before. My first time reading a book where the female lead is in control and male lead was more in the shy and not knowing what to do side. My kinda man! Haha ;)
I truly loved and appreciated this book quite a lot.
This story follows Dylan and Alexis unexpectedly falls for each other. It was forbidden of course but when it's real, nothing should stop you even it hurts the people you love. I love the intense drama!
The sex was HOT. The main characters was freakin HOT. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK IS JUST HOT HOT HOT!
I wanted more. Like seriously. When the book ended, I felt devastated. I just can't get enough of Dylan and Alexis! More please!
YASSSS! I'm so glad it's a series ! Can't wait to read the second book !
Schooled was written so amazingly well. I couldn't put it down!
Best debut novel I've read this year! :) GREAT JOB AUTHOR! :)
I give it 4.5 AMAZING STARS!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! A MUST READ!

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A great read with amazing characters! Lex, brilliant and beautiful, Dylan, younger and handsome and Ava creative and lovely! A great younger man by 14 months and an older woman fall in love with many problems mainly caused by Lex’s inability to let anyone know they were together!

I just discovered Piper and devoured her first book in a matter of hours. She made me laugh, made me cry and basically wrote about the kind of physical connection all of us are looking for. It was hot, hilarious and just enough sweet.

Overall it has a very promising storyline, but, the angst was a bit much. Chapter after chapter of it and the ending rushed wrapped up in a few pages after a book filled with back and forth. I recommend this book and Author. Interesting writing style, will check out the next book to see if it's angsty like this one to form my final opinion.

This book is really great. The banter between the two characters had me laughing out loud. The only thing I would have liked better was if some of the chapters were from the male character's pov. I've already started the second book and can see she's done that. Yay!

I recently received an ARC for another book by this author so I decided I needed to read the previous books and am so glad I did. The female leads, Ava and Alexis (Lex), in this story are strong young women focused on getting their fashion line up and running. They have both agreed on a no dating rule for their senior year to keep them on track. Ava's younger brother Dylan transfers to their college and soon changes that for Lex. Dylan and Lex start a hidden romance and Lex learns that all she believed about Dylan was untrue. The chemistry between Lex and Dylan is undeniable. I worried my Kindle would melt while I read some of the scenes between Lex and Dylan and found myself wanting to have Dylan school me in a friction lesson. The love that slowly creeps up on Lex is not one she was expecting and as with young love many mistakes are made along the way. I found myself rooting for Dylan who is revealed to be such a misunderstood young man. I was happy with the way things turned out and am on to read the next book!

Schooled is the Debut novel for Piper Lawson and I thought it was a good first novel for her. I enjoyed this story, but it didn't WOW me. I thought the writing style was really good and the flow and pace of the story was spot on.
I think my only real complaint was that it wasn't anything new or original. The storyline is like many I have read in this genre and nothing really stuck out to make it different from other college based stories that I have read. I also thought that at times the author provided us with a little too much information to the story. There were some things that could've been left out without it effecting the overall story. With that said it didn't slow down the story or drag anything out, it was just stuff I don't think we needed. I do also wish that we would've gotten maybe one more chapter to finish off the story. To show where Lex and Dylan end up. I thought the ending was kind of abrupt. I know there is another book coming out, which is Ava's book, so I am hoping that we see more of Dylan and Lex in that book. .
What I did really like about this story was the female characters the author created. Ava and Alexis (Lex) were both very strong female leads. I say they are both leads in this story because the storyline truly focused on these two getting the fashion business off the ground. The love story between Lex and Dylan (Ava's younger brother) was kind of like a sub story to the main plot. Lex and Ava knew exactly what they wanted and were determined to make their dreams come true. I loved their determination and drive, we don't see that in many heroines in a book these days. I also really liked Dylan. He was sweet, thoughtful, caring and had a dirty talking mouth ;) I have to say that the mistakes that Dylan and Lex made throughout the story, started to drive me crazy. They both were so quick to walk away and not try to work things out together. I will say though, they had smokin' chemistry….They melted my kindle many times :)
SCHOOLED is a stand-alone novel with a happy ending. If you are a fan of the college based love story that is in the New Adult Genre, then you should definitely give this a try. This book was filled with laughter, love, angst, and some really steamy scenes. (I loved when Dylan explains friction to Lex) I look forward to reading Ava's story and hopefully seeing Dylan and Lex again. I know I will continue to read books by this author.

Schooled is Book #1 of the Travesty Series, and the debut novel for Piper Lawson. In addition, this book can be read as standalone and contains an HEA.
It was a very engaging, and interesting romance story between Alexis and her best friend's younger brother Dylan, who by the way has a bad reputation. However, just remember, looks can be deceiving.
I love that character. They were likeable and very believable. Great storyline, and very refreshing.
I would have love to have a little longer and no so much rushed ending, but it was good, nonetheless.
A great debut. Looking forward to start Stripped (Travesty Book #2).
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Piper Lawson debut is fun, refreshing and hot! Schooled is the story of two best friends Ava and Alexis who made a career decision at eighteen years old. Now juniors in college they are working towards making that decision a reality with no boys getting in the way. Attending the same college as his older sister Ava, Dylan shares a kiss with Alexis at a party one night. It was to be just one, but will it end at that? and how does it affect her friendship and business with Ava? This book is about hopes, dreams, BFF's, family and a HOT romance!
Can't wait for Piper's next book in this series!!!

Beware of Mature Rating that was not included in the synopsis!
I loved the story line but it had too much sexy smut for me. I loved Dylan & Lexi's secret romance but not enough drama for me to keep my attention.
I received this through NetGalley.
