Coal's journey is one that instantly grabs your attention. I loved the fact that its not your typical fey/human do anything to prove there can be and is love between the two species type of story. I had a really hard time putting this one down and i cant wait to follow the adventure on to the next book!

Well, I got this book yesterday, and I've finished it and am now reviewing it. It's a very good book, that draws you in and holds you to the finish. Chalcedony is a spoiled princess, about to be made queen, who does not like it when she doesn't get her way....right or wrong. She wants Coal, and means to keep him, whatever it takes. Then it's Elizabeth, who wants to go back home after experiencing 'Fairyland', and Chalcedony wants to keep her, too. Very interesting, and bloody, too, after Lizzy no longer wants to stay, but go home to her mother. If you really like fantasy books, this is a good one.
