After a incident causes Ruby Danvers to leave the police department (explained at the beginning) her saviour Harlan appears at her apartment to reveal he is her soon to be husband and a Vampire!!
But all Ruby wants is to find Grant and have her revenge.
This all changes when Harlan explains that he must stay close to her in order to stick to the Vampire laws as she is now his betrothed, so he moves in with her. But things get more complicated between them as Harlan explains he claimed her only to save her.

Over time they are both searching for Grant and the bond is getting stronger what will happen when Ruby's life is in danger?

Love this book! A quick read. So enjoyable! Ruby is a kick ass cop that gets attacked by a vampire , but gets saved by Harlan also a vampire. Harlan is awesome , he has such great snarky come backs to Ruby and the way they develop their working and otherwise relationship makes this such a fun lively never slow read! Couldn't put it down! This book has it all, romance action, humor it will keep you turning the page wanting more!

This book is a refreshing twist to the same vampire love story. The story is packed full characters that carry the story along giving us a taste of both worlds. I love that the author writes the female character strong and passionate. The story flows seamlessly and just when you think you know what is going to happen surprise, the story does a 180.
I am looking forward to reading more about the other characters.

Are all vampires inherently evil? Or are they much like any other "species" and just have a few rotten apples? Harlan definitely had me hooked bc there's nothing like a bad boy who can rip off heads w/ the best of them, but still wants to be and do good. Although the Royal Family was reminiscent of Twilight's Volturie, it looks as though Anya has another hit on her hands.

I'd taken a break from reading Vampire stories so this was a great return for me. Harlan's honesty will draw you in. It's a great balance to Ruby's fiery resisistance. I believe readers will enjoy this story. I'm excited to read the next installment and hopeful that perhaps Harlan's Maker will get a book also.

Harlan is a great book!!! It is very well written and had me hooked from the very first word until I read the last word. Vampires, mystery, vampire chase, and much more are included in this story. Grab a copy of this book and read Harlan's and Ruby's story. It is great!

Good beginning to a new series. The characters, the intrigue, ĺust/love between the two main characters drew me in right from the beginning.
I read it through in one sitting. Waiting on the next one.

I love the books by Anya Nowlan. Another great book. A vampire that want to save a women's​ life by making her his bride and he falls in love with her. I could not put it down once I started it like all her books.

I really enjoyed this book. Harlan was adorable, and awesome. I absolutely loved Ruby, and bonus points that she was a police office (since usually that's the male lead). Overall, I really enjoyed following their story, and liked it. I was gifted a copy.

I really enjoyed reading Harlan. This is very different from all the other books she has written. The story is well written and keeps your interest. I am a huge fan and am looking forward to reading the next book.

HARLAN is the first book in Anya Nowlan's newest series, VAMPIRE SEEKING BRIDE. It was engrossing, fast-paced, intriguing, steamy and a must read.
